53:03 invited us to do made in america he didn't invite me to preach but they told me on a regular basis he would listen to the my god is awesome song right and so we were able to go in that space and be able to share the good news. And so this whole filmmaking thing, you know, Billy Graham made films. Willow Creek made films. James McDonald and that church, the Left Behind series came from that church, right? So I think it's important that we know as people of faith, we got to make sure the kingdom is in the culture and music, film, television, we got to create art to be able to reach people, touch people impact people inspire people and know that we're still in the kingdom on behalf of god there's a whole gap in the culture y'all for family friendly content right stuff where little kids can watch it and you ain't got to worry about them repeating the words on the screen I can keep going on and on and on and so we're going to put some stuff in those gaps grabby bibles all over the building for our time together and I know this word is for somebody because I really wanted to preach something else today and all week long up until last night I'm like come on God like I got this other thing he gave me and God was like nope this one so this is for somebody today.

Come on. 2 Corinthians chapter number 11 verse number 23 are they servants of Christ I am out of my mind to talk like this I am more I have worked much harder skip down to verse number 32 I want to say in Damascus the governor under King artists had the city of that's that word is actually damascus damaskanese guarded in order to arrest me but i was lowered in a basket from a window in the wall and slipped through his hands and the whole church said amen for our time we have to share together everybody i want to talk from this subject god is not through with me yet God is not through.

People are always talking about, thinking about, and worrying about what somebody else is doing. instead of focusing on what they're actually doing. People are always paying attention to other people's business instead of paying attention to their own business. They're so focused on what you're doing. They ain't doing nothing themselves. and as a result of them paying attention to you from a distance as a result people who know of you and don't really know you from a distance they are misinformed about you and so they misjudge you misperceive you, misframe you, misinterpret you, and then they spread a false narrative about you with shallow thoughts, misinformed ideas, and unfounded concepts.

57:39 They falsely spread false narratives on a false understanding. that's exactly what's happening in second corinthians chapter number 11 as the apostle paul writes a letter to the church at corinth so when you read this passage and you see the corinthians it's a group of believers that he's writing a letter to and he writes this letter to speak to them as he is under attack there are people that are challenging the authenticity of his faith the authenticity of his commitment to god the authenticity of his apostleship and they are attempting to distract him while simultaneously discredit him and so what's interesting is he does not respond to them but he speaks to the church at Corinth and he says to the church at Corinth I want you all to have the same mindset and mentality that I have when you are under attack from people for who are on the outside looking in he says he says he says in a very practical sense They base their faith off of secular accomplishments and material things, and they are distorting the gospel.

59:02 But he says, I want you all to be clear that the authenticity of your faith and the authenticity of your commitment to God cannot be relegated or limited to what you have from a material standpoint. but he says for my note takers he says I want to show you what it looks like to have authentic faith and I want to show you what it looks like to be unbothered and not to be derailed or detoured or distracted by your haters or detractors but I want to show you what it looks like to focus on your focus and while other people are talking about what happened I want to show you what it looks like to make things happen and he says in a very practical sense he says God is not through with me yet and God is not through with me yet because number one I don't have faith that just goes to church I have faith that gets stuff done he says in verse number 23 he says while they're talking I'm working while they're conversating about me I'm doing stuff for God he says in verse number 23 I've worked harder than they have I've worked much harder he number one says I've got purposeful faith I got faith not faith that just goes to church I got faith that is the church I got faith that does not just does not walk in a sanctuary on Sunday I got faith that works for God on Monday on Tuesday on Wednesday on Thursday I got purposeful faith I got faith that gets things done I got faith that makes things happen makes things happen I got faith that brings things to pass I got faith that gets things done now our salvation that we have is not a work salvation we don't work to get saved we work because we are saved Jesus finished the work on the cry on the cross and died that we might have life and have it more abundantly but we work because Jesus has

1:01:07 worked for us and he's working on us he's working with us he's working through us and he's working for us and with a spirit of gratitude for his grace for his goodness for his mercy for his kindness for his service you and I we couldn't have awakened this morning if he hadn't touched us with his finger of love and as the old deacons would say allow our golden moments to roll on a little while longer but it was his grace that brought us safe thus far and his grace is going to lead us on and so with the spirit of gratitude we embrace the idea that he saved us to serve he's got a calling for every single one of us he's got an anointing for every single one of us he's got power for every single one of us he's got something for us to do and so Paul says to them y'all can talk all you want to but while you talking I'm gonna keep working because God didn't saved me to yap. God saved me to work. And when he accepts Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior, Paul says in this passage, he says in so many words, James 2 17, faith without works is dead.

1:02:29 Matthew chapter seven, verse number 16, he says to the church at Corinth, he says, while there's a lot of talking about what I am about what I'm not, he says, let's go fruit shopping. Let's let's let's inspect. Let's check out my tree. Matthew 7 16 says, and you will know a tree by the fruit it bears. And it's very interesting because Paul, he says, I'm going to talk like a fool. And he says in so many words, if you go up to verse number 16, he says, I'm talking like a fool. And instead of talking about his accomplishments, he talks about his scars. what's make what makes that interesting is he's saying to the church of corinth uh in so many words i got a resume with stuff that i could actually talk about can we take a second and roll through the apostle paul's resume i mean after he's knocked down on the road to damascus in acts chapter number nine he gets up and he gets right in the game because he's got purposeful faith the scripture says he spends years in arabia and damascus preparing himself for public ministry translation after he accepts jesus christ he starts attending fellowship bible academy he says i got to study to show myself approved under god a workman needed not being ashamed of the word of truth translation i just got saved now let me learn about what i just accepted let me get a handle on this thing I just got in because I didn't pull up into the kingdom, join the family of God, become a member of fellowship to be a liability. But I came to be an asset. I intend to be a big gamer in the kingdom and do some amazing things for God. And so let me get in this word and see what's going on in here and learn how to pray and learn how to do this word and learn how to understand this word after that he goes into his missionary journey and he starts planting churches

1:04:35 in phasidium in antioch in iconium in lystra in derb can we roll through his resume he's been working for god because he's got purposeful faith he confronts the jerusalem council and he helps the Gentiles to understand that we are saved through faith by God's grace and he makes sure this theological idea has been established after that he plants churches in the Roman Empire in places that don't believe in Jesus to be able to win that region then he leaves the Roman Empire and he goes to Asia Minor and he goes to Greece laying the foundation then he goes to Europe Then he goes to Athens and debates the philosophers and defends the gospel of Jesus Christ. Then he picks up his pen and under the guidance of the Holy Spirit, he writes Galatians.

1:05:32 He writes 1 Thessalonians. He writes 2 Thessalonians. He writes 1 Corinthians. He trains pastors. He trains ministry leaders. He goes and he trains Timothy. He goes and he trains Titus and Silas and Luke and Priscilla and Aquila. and then he performs miracles. He's healing the sick. I'm just trying to show you he's got purposeful faith and he's been working. He's casting out devils. He's winning souls. He's edifying believers. He's encouraging local churches. He's going here and there working for the Lord. But then he says, if I'm going to boast, I'm not going to boast in the stuff you just heard. I'm going to boast in the fact that God has been keeping me. he's been sustaining me he's been empowering me i've been able to go where i've been able to go by the grace of god i've been able to do what i've been able to do by the grace of god i'm not gonna go through my resume and give you my accomplishments i'm gonna talk about the god who made me able to do everything i've been able to do can i talk to somebody and say to you we got faith but our faith should be working and I came to ask somebody what is your Holy Ghost resume look like what is your spiritual resume look like your name is on your resume but your work experience is on your resume what can you look at on your spiritual resume that you have done for God that can be can I talk to some real people in the building what are your technical skills that you've been using for the glory of God.

Gideon, are you going to use your leadership ability? Peter, are you going to use your capacity to feed the sheep? Disciples, I know you're going to want to, but are you going to feed the 5,000? Can I talk to somebody and say to you, God wants you to fill up your kingdom resume. made are you gonna use your voice are you gonna use your business mind are you gonna use your understanding of social media are you gonna use your marketing genius for God are you gonna use your compassionate heart are you gonna use your personal experience your purposeful faith it's why God is not through with you yet number two Paul says I'm gonna show you why God in through with me yet I got persevering faith. I got persevering faith.

He says, I've been in prison more frequently. I've been beat down. I've been beat up. I've been flogged. I've been exposed to death over and over again. five times I received from the Jews 40 lashes I've been beat down in this thing three times I was beaten with rods I had rocks thrown at me three times I was shipwrecked I was stuck I was pulled over on the side of the water other times I was in the middle of the sea surrounded by sharks couldn't go nowhere sharks swimming all around me wanting to consume me I was in the middle of the water I wasn't in a boat wrecked I was in the middle of the water stuck I've been in danger from rivers danger from bandits danger from my own fellow Jews my own kinfolk my own family members wanted to see me out the game dangers from the Gentiles danger in the city danger in the country danger in the sea danger from false believers verse number 27 I have labored and toiled and have often gone without sleep i've been i've been hungry i've been thirsty translation i've been broke i've been down i didn't have nothing he says he says i faced daily pressure from all of the churches verse number 28 i was still serving and people didn't even know what i was going through i was still serving and people didn't know what i was dealing with I still had a smile on my face and people didn't know what I was dealing with I was still showing love I was still going out of my way but people had no idea I love verse number 29 who is weak and do do and and do not feel weak translation he says after all I've been through who's weak after all I had to deal with who's weak translation I'm still strong after all the devil tried to do

The testimony is not only did Paul survive, the testimony is that he kept showing up. He showed up after he got beat down, showed up after they spoke against him, showed up after all he went through. I came to say to somebody who's got persevering faith, faith that says, here I come again. Faith that says, I ain't going nowhere. we ain't going nowhere we ain't can I talk to somebody and say to you God can give you a persevering faith a faith that will let you show up at your job surrounded by snakes surrounded by sharks surrounded by hyenas that want to take you out but you can show up with your chin up and your chest out ready to handle your business who in here has got persevering faith Faith to get through the loss.

1:11:38 Faith to get through the attack. Faith to get through the pain. Faith to get through the trial. Faith to get through the tribulation. Faith to get through the struggle. Faith to get through the heartbreak. Faith to get through the heartache. Is there anybody here that knows that God can give you a persevering faith? I'm going through, but I'm going to get through. I'm down with a setback. is a setup for a comeback. High five somebody on your road and tell them I got persevering faith. I got faith like the three Hebrew boys. I may be in the fiery furnace, but the God whom I serve is able to deliver me. But if not, he's still able. I still love him I'm still gonna serve him I'm still gonna worship him and I'm like Job when he's done testing me I'm gonna come forth as pure gold Anybody got persevering faith?

Reaching to those things which are before me. I press. Yell at somebody on your road, press your way. You got all kind of people trying to stop you. Press your way. You got all kind of stuff coming against you. Press your way. You trying to close the deal. Press your way. You trying to get over the loss. Press your way. You in a desolute and destitute season.
