00 It's the normal Christian life to think and see from divine perspective. You are in Christ at the right hand of the Father. You are seated in heavenly places. That's not a statement to make us feel good about the moment. It's an invitation to think and see from a different location. do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God. If the mind wasn't important, if the mind wasn't valuable, it wouldn't be worth renewing. he focuses his energy, if you will, his purposes, his workings in our life, every moment of every day to teach us to think like he does. when I embrace worry, I intentionally war against the mind of Christ.
00 When I entertain thoughts and ideas that are in conflict with God, I'm actually feeding that which wars against the mind of Christ. the mind of Christ is completely different. If I could illustrate, the mind of Christ is not just hopeful facing a problem. In other words, when Jesus feeds the multitude with loaves and fishes, a child's lunch, it's not because he can imagine the possibility of a miracle. it's because he lives aware of resources that are greater than the problem that he's facing. There's an awareness. There's a consciousness. There's a consciousness of living from a realm of unlimited resource towards a problem. Faith sees, faith dwells in a place where nothing is impossible. And for that to be the shape or the molder of how we think is huge.
04 But it begins with our salvation. It begins with our salvation in this little word called repent. Repent for the kingdom of heaven is at hand. Repent. I grew up in a world where repentance was coming to an altar, weeping before the Lord, confessing sin. It's wonderful, and I never want to take away from that because it's so vital. I began to see in scripture that the word repent actually means to change the way you think. But here's the big mistake. Repentance is not an intellectual exercise. Repentance is not an intellectual exercise. It's not saying, I just got to think different about this problem. It's not that at all. The Bible says godly sorrow produces repentance. Godly sorrow is what influences a shift in perspective. Godly sorrow. It's seeing the lost condition that we were in before we met Christ and the fact that he saved us when we could not save ourselves, when we were dead. So how many good choices can dead people make. You can't find God being dead. He has to find you and wake you up to the possibility of salvation. So the weightiness of our salvation. So we see the absolute lost condition of humanity.
34 We see that he called us by name. Something happened in us and we said yes. Seeing that simple thing carried out to its logical conclusion is I have a change in my perspective of reality. I was dead. I'm alive. I was lost. I'm found. That is the inspiration for the renewed mind. That's the beginning place. That's where it starts. Don't be conformed to this world. Be transformed by the renewing of your mind. The renewing of the mind here, this particular word be transformed, is the same basic word that's used in the Gospels to describe Jesus on the Mount of Transfiguration. So if you can imagine, Jesus takes Peter, James, and John with them. They go up on a mountain, and he stands on this mountain. All of a sudden, it says, he becomes other, is actually the language that's used. He becomes other. He suddenly takes on a different image and shape, if you will. His clothing, and I think it's Luke's gospel, his clothing is lightning flashes. It's not, you know, it says the whiter than any launderer can make it. Yeah, times a billion. It's lightning. We're not talking about a good washing. We're talking about lightning. Lightning is his clothing. And he stands there and the disciples were sleeping. They're now completely awake as they behold this one. And the voice of the father comes, this is my beloved son, hear him. So it's a divine moment. Here's what I want you to see.
18 In the natural, Jesus is clothed with lightning. That is transformation. The renewed mind in the spirit realm is what that is in the natural realm. The mind of Christ the mind of Christ is the beginning of transformation the mind of Christ is the beginning place transformed mind transforms a person a transformed person transforms a city i like the strategies for serving in politics and business and all those things and and the lord is blessing and the opportunity of churches all over the country all over the world that are doing that serving their communities it's a beautiful thing but apart from the mind of Christ, there's not lasting transformation because we are actually discipling a world on the reality of God who has conquered every enemy of mankind. Discipling a world to think and to draw from possibilities that they never thought were even available before.
36 The renewed mind makes hope possible. Let's just take a look at this for just a moment longer. I know we've been over this before, but I have the mic. Said, be transformed by the renewing of your mind that you may prove what is that good, acceptable, and perfect will of God. I've heard people say there's the good will of God, the acceptable will of God, and there's the perfect will of God. That's stupid. That's just dumb. There's the will of God. It's good, acceptable, and perfect. The will of God is all three things. You don't get away with, well, there's an acceptable will of God. No, no, no, no, no, no. Don't be stupid. Don't try to make it in by the skin of your teeth. Give yourself completely to the good, acceptable, perfect will of God. Those things flow from the transformed mind. what is the will of God?
32 The best definition I can find in the Bible is your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Just think this through with me. Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Clearest definition I can find is on earth as it is in heaven. What is God's will for a given situation in your life? On earth as it is in heaven. What ushers that in? Transform mind. do not be conformed to this world be transformed by the renewing of your mind that you may prove I believe miracles take place by anointing. Miracles take place by great faith.
26 But miracles also take place through the flow of the renewed mind. Ushers in the reality of God's will on earth. The renewed mind doesn't yield to the opposing thoughts, the opposing things, the war that goes on in the hearts and minds of people. The battleground is the mind. The renewed mind lives from a different place.
51 And the transformation that we hope to bring to our cities has to happen in here first. It has to happen in here. Jesus, in confronting his disciples on this whole issue, they would be involved in a miracle, and then the next day they would question, not the miracle, but the reality of the kingdom they were supposed to see. They would deny it. Jesus talks to them. They're afraid of not having enough food for lunch the day after they multiplied food. So he asked them a question. Why do you reason that you have no bread? Why do you reason? Why does your reasoning start with what you don't have? Why do you start as your foundational foundational thought, why do you build upon a foundation that's that weak? You have no bread. You've started with what you don't have and you build logic from that place. It's an improper foundation and it'll have to be removed. Anything you build on that, the longer you dwell on what you don't have, the higher the building you're going to build that has to come down.
59 and that's what repentance does. Repentance goes to the very root thought, the very emotional attachment to a way of thinking, the self-talk that is so destructive. Jesus wants to go to the root of that, not in punishment, but in deliverance. See, in the kingdom of God, freedom is not just from something, it's unto something. Our lives are no more transformed than is our mind renewed.
31 The measuring rod of personal transformation is the transformation of the mind. We can think about coming out of addictions, all kinds of different challenges in life, and they can be transformed and changed. but we as an individual are no more transformed than is our mind.
54 And if you would imagine standing next to a stream and you're standing right next to the stream, let's just call this stream the mind of Christ. Repentance introduces you to the mind of Christ. Repentance puts you in the stream to feel the flow of his thinking, his perceptions, the way he moves. his value system is completely different than ours and he spends our entire lifetime helping us to see from his perspective every miracle introduces us to the reality of an unseen world and that introduction is to shape all further thoughts you he introduces us to an unseen world which is eternal. Paul says, what you can see is temporal, what you can't see is eternal.
54 And so when something happens like a miracle of healing or a deliverance or someone comes to Christ, the greatest miracle of all, when those things take place, he's actually exposing us to more than a story. He's exposing us to more than a deaf ear opening or a lame person walking. He's exposing us to the supernatural activity of the Holy Spirit that can be perceived. by a yielded heart. and what he does every time he exposes us to some sort of a supernatural activity well all of his actually I probably shouldn't call it supernatural because it's his natural in our world we have natural and supernatural and in his world he only has natural It's all his natural.
57 He doesn't have to try hard. But when he does one of his works, which he is constantly doing, he's hoping that it will shape how we see further situations. I remember some years ago, we had a whole string of,
24 there was a period of perhaps a couple years, I don't remember exactly, but let's just say two years, three years maybe, where we had lots of broken bones healed. I mean, just bizarre things. You know, somebody with a broken arm, just recently broken, and you can't even touch the skin because of the pain. It was so much pain. It was right down there. So extreme pain because it was freshly broken. And the break was from here down to here. This forearm was broken. And I couldn't lay hands on her to pray, but we could speak. And so we began to address the broken bone and command it to come back together. And by the time we were through, which is maybe 5, 10 minutes at the most, you could hit the thing. You could grab it. You could do anything.
17 So here's the point I'm trying to make, is that we had a series of those. Somebody came to me with what they call a boxer break. She had gotten angry and hit a wall and broke her hand. And it was, you know, she was both repenting for her anger and needing a miracle. And the Lord did a dramatic miracle. And so we had many, many, many of those kinds of stories. And then I remember one Sunday night, in fact, one Sunday night we had somebody was dancing in the back, and they were an emergency room worker, and they somehow fell and they broke their foot. And they went to several people, an emergency room worker could tell in her own body what was wrong, and broke the bone outside of her foot. and she asked several people, she didn't ask them to pray, she said, do you believe God will heal me? And they all offered to pray. And then she found one guy who says, yes, I believe God will heal you.
16 She said, good, you pray for me. And they watched the bone come right back into place. It was extraordinary. So I'm trying to paint a picture. It was normal for bones to be healed. And then one Sunday night, a young boy, I forget the age now, maybe 12 years old, fell. And his arm was obviously, you know, when you have a bone go here and then it jumps up and goes here. You know, it was one of those breaks. It was ugly. And I remember he was laying right over here and they came and got me because I had seen so many bones broken. So I went over there and laid on my stomach and started to pray, put my hand on the arm and began to pray. And then I turned to someone on our team and I said, go get medical help. Now, I would never fault a mom for wanting to get medical help for their child who just broke their arm.
15 It was not a wrong thing to do. but it was a compromise for me because of what I had seen I had forgotten it all and could only see a very serious break I don't know if you're getting this but when you see how God moves it doesn't mean you can never it doesn't mean calling a doctor would have been wrong it's just it was too early in the process does that make sense? It was too early to quit and go for the medical help instead of yet another time when the bone would be broken. The arm over here, I couldn't see the problem. She could feel the problem. The broken hand, I couldn't see the problem. The broken arm, I could see the problem. And what I saw canceled out what I had seen. Yes.
11 It's not put upon us to impress anyone. We have no, we're not in a contest of who wins the great faith challenge. We just have this privilege of seeking first the kingdom. Not second, not third, not down the list. first. And the responsibility of those who are born again is we are born into a kingdom that knows no impossibility. I'm not one who is opposed to doctors. In fact, I met this last week with our Bethel Medical Community, which is an incredible group of faith-filled people that serve well in the natural, but serve well in the spiritual. I was thanking them over and over as I have in my recent book even for when Benny got sick and we were at the emergency room. We're in the emergency room and the doctor's praying this fiery prayer over her body. I thought, my goodness, where am I?
22 Is this Bethel Healing Rooms? And yes, it was. It was just at one of the hospitals. He was praying. And before we left that emergency room that evening, four other people came in. Three of them prayed on the spot, fiery prayers. The fourth one said they were going to go away and pray. There's this combination of doing what you're supposed to do. For example, Paul says Timothy, take a little wine for your stomach's sake. He gave him a natural solution for a physical problem.
57 Natural solutions are not evil. but just make sure you seek the kingdom first that whatever you do is in surrender to his planned purposes does that make any sense to you at all? all right In Mark chapter 8, Jesus asks the question of his disciples, Can you see? Can you hear? Can you remember? And then he says, When I broke the five loaves for the 5,000, how many baskets full of fragments did we have left? And he said, Twelve. He said, When I broke the seven loaves for the 4,000, how many large baskets full of fragments did we have left? And he said seven. Jesus fed a larger crowd when he started with less food and he had more leftovers.
03 The renewed mind thinks in terms of quality, purity, purpose above quantity. in our world, we think in terms of size. We think in terms of amounts. I'm much more moved by the million-dollar gift than the hundred-dollar gift.
28 And yet Jesus placed himself next to the offering box in the temple, and he watched people come and present their gifts. and he saw people come with large gifts, great amounts of money, and pour into the offering box in the temple. And then he saw a widow that came with two mites. It was all she had. Two mites is actually less than a penny. And she put in the two mites. And Jesus said that was a bigger gift than all the others. you see he thinks different he thinks about he thinks about quality he thinks about about purity all in the simple gift of the widow who just gave all she had he actually he's not talking symbolically. He's not talking in some trying to inspire us to give all. He's actually stating a fact from heaven's perspective. Her gift was bigger. Because he thinks different.
45 Elisha was praying for rain. He had prophesied there would be a drought, and now he's praying for the end of that drought. And he's on the top of a hill. He's got his head between his legs and he's interceding he's crying out for God to release the gift of rain back to the land and his servant is there to help him and he says go tell me what you see and he does this six times and he comes back and he says uh said there's no clouds of any size it's interesting to me that Elijah didn't look for himself because sometimes what you see or what you can't see cancels out what little faith you have. and so he kept his eyes on the Lord in prayer in intercession and he prayed and he said tell me what you see he said there's no clouds six times seventh time he says I see the cloud the size of a man's hand that small answer moved Elijah so significantly that he actually ran down the mountain to get away from the massive storm because the small was great.
04 There are countless stories throughout the scriptures. I wrote several down just in my own thoughts this afternoon. In John chapter 7, Jesus says, come to me and drink. In fact, look at this one because it's just such a fascinating passage. In John 7, if you have your Bibles, turn there. If you don't have your Bible, go home and get it. No, just kidding, just kidding. John 7. Just real quick look at this one passage. He says on verse 37, on the last day, the great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried out saying, if anyone thirsts, let him come to me and drink. He who believes in me, as the scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water. This is, how big is a drink? A drink becomes a river.
08 See, it's the little things of great quality, of great purity. the disciples asked Jesus increase our faith and he said faith the size of a mustard seed can move a mountain it was actually not trying to embellish or give us emotionally encouraging motivating words he was stating a reality faith that is genuine faith only this size if it stands by itself can actually move a mountain.
55 Sometimes we don't lack faith we just have too much unbelief. Look at it this way. You have a mustard seed planted in your garden, but you also have CNN. MSNBC local newspaper your neighbor's opinion the criticism of a parent the hatred of an employee we've got all these other seeds that are planted there and all those seeds the Bible gives us a clear picture that these other seeds they are weeds that choke out the genuine plant. So everybody here, you're born again because of a genuine seed of faith.
49 but we often entertain things that are at war with what god has said and sometimes we actually we shoot ourselves in the foot so to speak we injure our own progress in believing God because we entertain so many options Perhaps you've heard me share this story before. It's one of my favorites. I remember reading this story probably 40 years ago in my office in Weaverville. This guy was an athlete, very competitive and very accomplished athlete. And he was in a horrible accident, automobile accident. He ended up losing an arm. and he spent the next several years trying to figure out what kind of sport he could play with only one arm. And so he tried different things and he really ended up liking the sport handball, which is if you play racquetball, it's like a racquetball without a racket.
52 And you hit this horribly hard little ball with your hand and it's got this thin little glove on it and hit it off the wall. And it's a very intense and aggressive sport. And this guy became very good. he became the champion of his club. Over a period of time, he became so good, so proficient that he became, the club actually entered him into a state championship. He became the state champion of this sport called handball. And after he had won the championship, a newspaper reporter interviewed him and said, how is it possible for a man with one arm to win when your opponents are able to use either hand? How is it possible for you to win against your opponents that can use either hand? And I said, oh, it's easy.
46 It's options. And the reporter said, what do you mean, options? He said, when the ball comes off the wall, my opponent has to decide what hand he is. oftentimes having entertaining many options actually dilutes and defiles faith I think probably one of the most necessary disciplines or practices that I would encourage from everyone in this room is meditation on the scriptures. We need more of it in here. it's nice to be able to quote your favorite verse and that's that's a great place to start but when you meditate on it it actually becomes a part of you it becomes uh um it becomes in time it becomes the way it becomes the place from which you respond to a new problem or challenge it's it's like you don't have to think you know you don't have to think i need to choose to trust God. When the Word of God becomes deeply implanted in you, it resides in you, and it shapes your thinking, your values, your perspective. And a new problem comes up, and the initial response is a kingdom response. Not because you forced it, not because you have great discipline, but because you've been infected by the Word of God. You've been shaped in thinking.
31 and this is the invitation of the Lord because to think, it's not normal to think small is bigger than big. What do you think the tithe is all about? It's just a test of lordship. Do I actually believe 90% is more than 100%? See, the 90 that remains after I tithe and honor the Lord actually has greater strength, purchasing power. It's more. It's more. It's a test of how you think. it's not some tool of a preacher somewhere to get us to do what they want us to do it so it's a test of lordship and lordship is examined daily in your life and mine in how we think the place from which we reason I think it's the challenge that Jesus warns about in Mark 10.
39 He says, it's hard for a rich man to make it into the kingdom. Easy for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, etc. Bizarre story. The disciples were stunned at his statement because they all considered themselves rich. Read the story. says they were stunned. They're responsible. Well, then who's going to make it? I think that this issue of renewed mind that without a renewed mind, I think more is more significant than little. How does that affect me and my relationship with finances? Then I equate my significance with my wealth, my title, my position, and not with the purity of my devotion to Christ. Does that make sense to anybody?
36 it's the challenge it's the challenge of how we see how we perceive, how we think the situations that come into our lives the renewed mind is the target of the Lord every single day of our life and he works to show us how he moves inconsistent thoughts thoughts that violate the purposes of god over our life they they are they are like the blocks in a wall and the enemy doesn't inhabit a thought in the same way he inhabits a pattern of thinking a pattern of thinking that wars against the purposes of god actually create a realm of safety for him to hide in and dwell in and to attack from this whole issue that I have had in my heart to talk to you about today is not devil focused at all in fact you know that whenever we teach on this subject we never make it about chasing the devil he's not worthy of my attention only long enough to get the crosshairs on him and pull the trigger is not worthy of our discussion, our infatuation.
57 I have zero interest. But when it gets in the way, when there's a problem that has been created because I've given myself to believe something that is in violation to what God knows to be true, then I must repent and deal with that pattern of thought. I mean, you know, it's one thing to just confess the sin. It's another to change the way you think. about that subject. It's the reason the word repentance doesn't mean cry at the altar, even though that may be a legitimate expression. The word repentance means to change the way you think. So to truly repent about something that he deals with me on means that that sorrow for sin has to be deep enough that it changes my perspective on what's true and what's a lie. Every lie that the enemy has ever presented to you and to me throughout our entire life has always been something. He has raised up. In fact, the word here is it is an exalted thought, an exalted idea. I've never seen a time when there's been more intentional raising up of exalted ideas that undermine the work of the gospel. I've never seen it in my life. I'm happy to rejoice and say I've never seen such breakthrough as I see right now. The extraordinary miracles of addictions broken off literally in moments, 10, 20, 30 years of heroin addiction or whatever it might be, just broken off literally in moments. Seeing cancers healed. We had testimony this morning of a lymphoma that was healed. We have constantly, we have the breakthrough in the physical realm. We have the mental illness that gets healed. Over 60 cases that I know of of bipolar that have been completely healed and restored. It just doesn't matter. I talked with a gentleman. The power of God went through him. It was like lightning, literally. He's schizophrenic.
48 Lightning went through him. I saw him a year later, and he's completely in his right mind, and he's brought deliverance to a great, great number of other people because Jesus actually put him in order, put him together. So we're seeing breakthroughs on high levels with CEOs and political leaders in the low levels. We just had an individual converted, I believe it was this week, who has been guilty of the worst crimes you can imagine. And the Lord saved him and brought deliverance to him just this past week. So here's the point. We're seeing extraordinary breakthrough, but don't think for a moment that those breakthroughs come without the enemy trying to exalt ideas that war against the knowledge of God, what God knows to be true. What's vital for you and for me is to realize that in every situation of our life, every time we get a breakthrough, there's another two trees planted in the garden.
45 every time there's a breakthrough, you get an economic breakthrough, guess what? A second tree just got planted in your garden. It has to be that way. You have to have options besides what God says. You have to have the option. Why? Because it's the only way you break into reward. He's a rewarder. His own nature is described as a rewarder. Those who come to God must believe that he is and that he is the rewarder of those who seek him. Because he is a father who loves to reward and to bless and to give honor and to celebrate people, because he is that way, he must give you an option so that he has a reason for reward. I'm telling you the truth. Yep. All right. In the Mark 8 passage where I talked to you about Jesus asking a question, why do you reason that you have no bread?
49 His next question is, is your heart still hard? What's the lesson? The lesson was they saw miracles of provision, and now they're fearful of not having enough. whenever we've seen the miracle provision, we lost the right to begin any thought process with what we don't have.
16 That's the expense of the miracle realm, is every time there's a miracle, he reveals his nature, and that nature always carries with it the invitation for encounter, for covenant, making covenant with a God who never fails. So his next question is, is your heart still hard? What's the point? A hardened heart poisons the mind. Let me give one more illustration for this. It's out of the other spiritual warfare chapter. It's Ephesians 6. and in this particular passage, Paul does something very similar to here, except he starts to describe what has been given to us to keep us safe, and then what has been given to us to give us advancement, and he starts by saying in Ephesians 6, he says, you have the helmet of salvation, Think saved.
31 eventually you're going to have to believe you're born again. That's kind of what it comes down to. Eventually that's what's going to have to happen. I'm joking with you. You already do, but you understand the point. The point is, think saved. The helmet of salvation protects the mind. Breastplate of righteousness. Your vitals are protected by the righteousness of God himself. loins girded with truth the strength is the fact that we are firmly established in the truth of the gospel our feet are covered with the preparation of the gospel of peace these boots that these soldiers would wear these were a Roman soldier analogy they had spikes in them so that they would position themselves in the ground and in opposition they couldn't be driven back because they were too stable in their footing there was no armor on their back because never does the believer turn and run because the believer is fighting from the victory of Christ towards an express victory in the earth we're not fighting for the defeat of the enemy he's already been defeated and then it talks about the shield of faith and the sword of the spirit which is the word of God what is the tool now of the enemy it's fiery dart I'd like to suggest to you that the target is the mind the target is thought processes now that are exalted or raised up against what God knows to be true what do we use to quench those fiery darts those suggestions of the enemy.
20 It's the shield of faith. What happens if you get hit by a fiery dart that gets past your faith? You have the sword of the spirit. What you may not realize is this sword was not a long sword to do a sword fight with. This was a small Roman dagger that was used to dig arrows out of himself. so an arrow gets past the shield of faith and gets you what do you do? you take the word of God Did you get it? You take the word of God to minister to yourself. I don't believe the enemy ever got an arrow past Jesus' shield of faith, but he did model what it was like to minister to himself with the Word of God.
24 The enemy says, turn this stone into bread. Man shall not live by bread alone. So you find him ministering to himself with the Word of God. John chapter 7 verse 37. On the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried out, saying, If anyone thirsts, let him come to me and drink. He who believes in me, as the scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water. So stop right there. He says, Come to me and drink. out of your innermost being will flow rivers. So picture it. A cup becomes a river. a drink creates a river.
19 It's important to understand this, that whatever aspect of God's nature or person touches you, he recreates something in you to produce that. Not because we are the source, but because we are a yielded vessel to the source. he who believes in me verse 38 as the scripture has said out of his heart that your inner world your inner being inner man out of his heart will flow living waters but this he spoke concerning the spirit so now he's saying that river i'm talking about is not a natural river it's the spirit of God himself. Do you remember when the woman touched Jesus's garment? Those of you that are familiar with the Bible story, touched his garment and a virtue was released. Dunamis, power was released in her body. She was healed. What was that? That was the river.
21 the wonderful thing about Jesus recognized the river flowing do you remember that? he said who touched me? he recognized the river the impartation of presence not because he was missing something because he has the spirit without measure so it wasn't because something is taken that he doesn't have anymore it's because he was aware of the flow All right.
55 Verse 39, but this he spoke concerning the spirit whom those believing in him would receive for the Holy Spirit was not yet given because Jesus was not yet glorified. Okay, you guys doing all right? You're ready to go for this? All right. But this he spoke concerning the spirit, verse 39, whom those believing in him would receive. So it hasn't happened yet. For the Holy Spirit was not yet given. Why? Because Jesus was not yet glorified.
29 Here's the most important thought that we need to start with so we can build something for tonight. Why, when I look at the disciples and I see some of the things that they did, the blunders they made, Peter rebuking Jesus, minor things like that, When I see that stuff going on, I'm thinking they really could have used the Holy Spirit then, not later. But if the Holy Spirit was given earlier, his whole ministry, you can find a list of what the Holy Spirit does in our life. He comforts, he teaches, he guides, he convicts, he does all these things. But all of these work until one conclusion to make us like Jesus. so imagine being a potter and you're shaping clay and you have a model here that you're shaping you're making a head out of this clay according to the model that you have here so holy spirit is forming us into the image of jesus but if he does it on the jesus that walked the earth with the disciples then he's making us like the jesus headed to the cross Thank you.
39 Not the Jesus resurrected, ascended, glorified at the right hand of the Father. he's got two completely different models to use to form us into in 1 John 4 17 it says as he is so are we in this world not as he was it's for that reason the scripture teaches Christ is in you you are in Christ he is seated at the right hand of the father you are in Christ at the right hand of the father you are seated in heavenly places. That's not a statement to make us feel good about the moment. It's an invitation to think and see from a different location.
45 It's the normal Christian life. to think and see from divine perspective. Repentance introduces you to the mind of Christ. Here's the bottom line. You're more than you think you are.
10 You're positioned higher than you realize. You've been given more tools than you could possibly imagine to reveal Jesus in the earth as he is, the victorious one over sin, death, hell, the grave, everything. That's the reality that he exists in right now. That is to become the reality of every believer. Let me read one verse to you that sets everything up that we just said. And this verse you're familiar with. It's chapter 3, and it's verse 20. now unto him who is able to exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think according to the power that works in us that prophetic promise of God's intention to go way beyond our imagination and way beyond our prayer life on our greatest day, that is what set us up for chapter four that says he's going to equip you and your use of that equipment is going to determine how well his plan functions.
24 One more comment. The flaps are down. The wheels are down, I should say. I'm just about to touch the runway, not the side of a mountain. Now unto him who is able to do abundantly above all we ask or think imagination, prayer but it's connected to something according to the power that works within you. The measure in which God functions past your reasoning and past your faith is determined by how much you allow him to work deep in you. The power that works in you is what releases him to work outside of you.
