Scripture reading: Genesis 26:1-12
1Now there was another famine in the land, subsequent to the one that had occurred in Abraham’s time. And Isaac went to Abimelech king of the Philistines at Gerar. 2The LORD appeared to Isaac and said, “Do not go down to Egypt. Settle in the land where I tell you. 3Stay in this land as a foreigner, and I will be with you and bless you. For I will give all these lands to you and your offspring, and I will confirm the oath that I swore to your father Abraham. 4I will make your descendants as numerous as the stars in the sky, and I will give them all these lands, and through your offspring all nations of the earth will be blessed, 5because Abraham listened to My voice and kept My charge, My commandments, My statutes, and My laws.” 6So Isaac settled in Gerar. 7But when the men of that place asked about his wife, he said, “She is my sister.” For he was afraid to say, “She is my wife,” since he thought to himself, “The men of this place will kill me on account of Rebekah, because she is so beautiful.” 8When Isaac had been there a long time, Abimelech king of the Philistines looked down from the window and was surprised to see Isaac caressing his wife Rebekah. 9Abimelech sent for Isaac and said, “So she is really your wife! How could you say, ‘She is my sister’?” Isaac replied, “Because I thought I might die on account of her.” 10“What is this you have done to us?” asked Abimelech. “One of the people could easily have slept with your wife, and you would have brought guilt upon us.” 11So Abimelech warned all the people, saying, “Whoever harms this man or his wife will surely be put to death.” 12Now Isaac sowed seed in the land, and that very year he reaped a hundredfold. And the LORD blessed him,

0:00 Hey, what's going on, everybody? Thank you so much for listening to this week's message from Zoe Church. We are in L.A., a city that loves Jesus, and we're excited about the future. We're in part three of a series called Watch God Work. I'm going to jump into Genesis chapter 26, but I want you to start getting prepared for our Over and Above offering next Sunday. It's our annual offering that accelerates the vision of our church, helping us reach more people. If you'd prayerfully consider what God, in fact, just ask God, God, what do you want me to give? We're going to be doing that next Sunday. Of course, you can give your tithes and offerings this week, but pray with us as we get ready for the over and above. But let's jump into this week's message called Start With What You Have. Genesis chapter 26, we're in part three of our installment, Watch God Work.

0:57 It's our vision for this next year. And we really felt like what God was saying to Zoe, watch God work. We're going to spend one year watching miracles, signs, wonders, World Series, NBA championships. We're going to watch God work. and I really believe that this year, it's bigger than a hat, bigger than a bag. This is our marching orders to watch in faith as God works in our life. Anybody believe today that the best is yet to come? Come on, clap if you're excited about your future. Clap louder if you really believe, come on, you really believe that the best is not behind you, the best is still in front of you.

1:42 So watch this, Genesis chapter 26, it reads as this. It says, now there was a famine in the land. And I just want to pause there. We understand what it's like to have difficult times in the land because last year in January, we had fires in the land. So just think, get an image. This is a difficult, hard season for this land. Now there was a famine in the land besides the previous famine in Abraham's time. And Isaac, now Isaac, if you don't know Isaac, there's Abraham, his son Isaac, and his son Isaac. Isaac has a son named Jacob, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. So this today is about Isaac. Isaac went to Abimelech, king of the Philistines in Gerar. Put that in your ways map. And the Lord appeared to Isaac and said, do not go down to Egypt. Live in the land where I tell you to live. Stay in this land for a while, and I will be with you, and I will bless you. For to you and your descendants, I will give all these lands and will confirm the oath I swore to your father, Abraham. I will make your descendants as numerous as the stars in the sky, and I will give them all these lands. And through your offspring, Isaac, all the nations on the earth will be blessed. Because Abraham, your father, obeyed me and did everything I required of him, keeping my commands and decrees and my instructions. Verse 6, So Isaac stayed in Gerar.

3:11 When the men of that place asked him about his wife, he said, oh, that's not my wife, that's my sister. Because he was afraid to say, she is my wife. He thought the men of this place might kill me on account of Rebecca because she's too beautiful. So right away, Isaac and I got something in common. Our women are too beautiful. Praise the Lord. Verse eight, when Isaac had been there a long time, Abimelech king of the Philistines looked down from a window and saw Isaac caressing his wife, Rebecca. Whoopsies. So Abimelech summoned Isaac and said, she is really your wife. Why did you lie to us and tell us that she was your sister? Isaac answered, oh, because I was, thought I might lose my life on account of my wife. And then Abimelech said, what is this you have done to us? One of the men might have slept with your wife and you would have brought guilt upon us. So Abimelech gave orders to all the people, anyone who harms this man, Isaac, or his wife, Rebekah, shall surely be put to death. And Isaac planted crops in that land, and in the same year reaped a hundredfold, because the Lord blessed him. I want to preach a message today, write down the title. It's called, Start With What You Have. Start with what you have. In fact, elbow the person next to you and tell them, start with what you got. Start. Elbow your second option and say, you know what I'm supposed to tell you. Start with what you have. Start with what you got.

4:45 You ever go to somebody's house, open up their fridge and be like, what you got? There's never had, you don't do this. You got to be mad confident and mad socially unaware to do this stuff. What you got? What you got up in this fridge? What you got in here? What are you working with in these cabinets? Start with what you got, what you have. I want to convince you that everything you need, you already got. In fact, you need to use what's in your hand to fulfill what's in your heart. start with what you have. I love this story of Isaac because Isaac, now remember, Isaac's daddy is a bad man. Isaac's daddy is father Abraham who grew up in church. Father Abraham. Come on church people.

5:38 Right foot, left foot. All right, that's enough. You trauma-filled victims, you stop it. Father Abraham in the Bible gets 14 scriptures on his, 14 chapters on his life. Isaac's son, Jacob, is gonna get 12 chapters dedicated his life. Isaac gets one chapter in the Bible, Genesis chapter 26. This is his one shining moment. And Isaac, we find him in a land that has famine and a land that is not familiar and a land that he doesn't wanna be in. In fact, he wants to get out of town and he wants to go to a different city. But the first thing that we're gonna see God tells Isaac is he tells Isaac, I want you to stay in the land that you live in. If you stay here, I'll bless you.

6:39 If you stay here, I'll prosper you. If you stay here, I'll take care of you. In fact, write down point number one today. God always gives direction before he brings provision. God always tells you what he wants you to do before he blesses your life. Genesis 26, three, stay in this land. Verse two, live in the land where I tell you to live. Verse number three again, I will bless you. God always brings direction before he brings provision. See, we think it's opposite. God will provide for me and then he'll guide my life. No, the Bible says that the steps of the righteous are ordered by the Lord. You got to get a word from God before you prosper in your life. I'm telling you, God has a bigger plan and a bigger thought and a bigger dream for your life than you do. God wants you to prosper beyond your wildest dreams. God wants to bless you beyond anything you've ever asked, thought, or imagined. Somebody clap and praise him today. And he always brings direction before he brings provision. He says, stay here, stay here in the land. Stay here, stay right here. You don't See, we think that the grass is greener on the other side. It'll be better if I go there. No, sometimes God will ask you and bless you right here. In fact, isn't it interesting that to his father in Genesis 12, God will say to Abraham in Genesis 12, get out of your region, get out of this land to a land I will show you and a place I will bless you there. But to his son Isaac, he doesn't say leave, he says stay. See, at the end of the day, you got to run your race. At the end of the day, you got to obey God for your life. At the end of the day, you got to do what God told you to do. Come on, clap if you're down to get some direction before you get some provision.

8:30 See, when I show up in heaven, I will not be held accountable for your life. I'll be held accountable for my life. That's why you got to get a word from God. You got to get a word from your own family. You got to get a word for your own business. You got to get a word for your own life. Whatever God says, I will obey. I like this because last Sunday I was preaching about Jehoshaphat. Again, if you're pregnant, I just want to throw that name out there. That's a great name for a kid. Just be out on the playground. And what's your son's name? Jehoshaphat. Baller. Oh, great. He's playing with my Fiona. Great. And I was preaching last Sunday and it was awesome to have my father-in-law in church with us last Sunday. Julia's dad, he's one of my favorite people to impersonate. And Julia's dad, if you've never met him, he looks like Fred Flintstone. And he kind of talks like this. How you guys doing? It's me, Bob McGregor. How you doing? Good to see you. And I preached Jehoshaphat. And later that afternoon, when we got to the house, he came to the kitchen to get some food and go watch some football.

9:38 And he stopped by and he's like, yeah, you know, Jehoshaphat went on a word and then he grabbed his food and he went outside. He did not say good job today. He did not say, I love the worship. He did not say what a great message. He just said, you know, Jehoshaphat, he went on a word, got his food and went outside. That's what he did.

9:59 And at the end of the day, I got to tell you, you got to go on a word or you got to stay on a word. But at the end of the day, you got to stand on the word. God always brings direction before he brings provision. In fact, put it on the screen. I love this. God promises aren't attached to conditions. They're attached to obedience. You got to obey God and whatever God asks you to do. Isaac wasn't sowing because the land looked good. Isaac was sowing because God's word is good. God said, it's not about the land. It's not about the harvest. It's not about what I see. It's about who I serve. It's about the God that told me what to do. It's about the God that I'm submitted, surrendered, and sacrificing to. I'm not gonna go by, in fact, write down number two. Don't go by what you think. Don't go by what you see. And don't go by what you feel. I'm going not based upon my feelings, my emotions, what I see in the moment.

10:51 I'm going out in faith. I'm stepping out, trusting God. I'm going to do what God called me to do. Come on, clap and give him a praise if you believe it today. That's my job. Only I can do what only I can do, and only God can do what only God can do. In the natural, this does not make sense. But remember, church, we do not serve the God of the natural. We serve the God of the supernatural. There's going to be some things that God asks of you that don't make sense. It doesn't make sense to work only six days and rest one. It doesn't make sense to live off 90% and give God 10%. It doesn't make sense to wait till marriage. A lot of things that God asks of you might not make sense to culture or to the world, but they make sense in this kingdom and they make sense to our ruler. don't go by what you think. Don't go by what you feel. Don't go by what you see. The Bible says the just shall live by faith, by faith, by faith. I'm sowing by faith. I'm living by faith. I'm staying in faith. I wonder how many people missed out on their miracle because they left too early, because they took matters into their own hands, because they said, you know what, I'm going to try and do it. I know what God is asking me, but I think there's a better way. No, I feel the spirit of Forrest Frank. Your way's better. Don't sing it. Just know what I'm saying. No, we got to trust God. And at the end of the day, I love Isaac. He steps out and he obeys God and he trusts God at his word. Put this on the screen. It says in Isaiah 26, verse six. So Isaac stayed in Gerar.

12:36 He stayed right where God told him to stay. I'm not leaving until you tell me to leave. Whatever God wants me to do, that's what I'm going to do. And so Isaac stayed in Gerar when it didn't make sense. And he's sold there. Put it on the screen so you can understand. Isaac is facing fear. He's facing conflict. He's facing jealousy and resistance. Yet he is sowing in a famine in a foreign land with hostile neighbors where there's no rainfall when there's no irrigation canals and he is reaping in the same year. All of the strategists and all the wisdom of this world would say, get out of Gerar, but he stayed on a word from heaven. He said, I don't go by what man says, I go by what God says. I don't have to be held accountable to you. I gotta be held accountable to God. Somebody clap and praise him today.

13:28 I'm just gonna do what God tells me to do. and if you keep going off of the natural, you keep going off the wisdom of this world, you keep going off what naysayers say, you will leave your gerar at a moment. You will leave your God-given potential based upon what their opinion says. No, I got to get all of the other voices out of my ears, and I got to hear from heaven. I don't care what you have to say. I care about what God has to say. You might be called to leave, but I'm called to stay. You might be called to do that thing, but I'm called to do this thing. And I'm going to keep obeying and I'm going to keep trusting and I'm going to keep sowing and I'm going to keep loving as long as God tells me to do it. Somebody praise him like you're down to obey.

14:19 Oh, I love this because he just, he just sowed in the place that God called him to stay. And so listen, the seed may be small, but the harvest is massive. In fact, put that on the screen, write down number three. The seed is small, but the miracle is massive. Verse 12, Isaac planted crops in that land. And in the same year, he reaped a hundredfold because the Lord blessed him. Oh, I love that. So he sowed. We don't know what the seed looked like. We don't know how big the seed was. We don't know what it looked like, but we know that he reaped a hundredfold in his life. By show of hands, would you be down if God returned to you a hundredfold this next year? You better put both your hands up. See, because you can't get God's blessing without… without obeying God at every turn. In fact, put this on the screen. I love, I love this phrasing. God hides miracles in small acts of obedience.

15:34 God hides his biggest miracles in the smallest little acts of obedience. We think it's not a big deal. It's everything to your maker. He goes, not a big deal. I'm just going to leave. I'm just going to go. And God's like, I didn't tell you to go. I called you to stay. And Isaac sowed and reaped a hundredfold. He never would have received it unless he obeyed the voice of God. To obey God is better than to sacrifice. God would rather you have you obedient than have you sacrificing. And so Isaac goes, it's not about my seed. It's a, and that's why the Bible says, do not despise the day of small beginnings. Everything in God's kingdom starts small. Everything in God's house starts small, but I serve the God that can take a small seed and turn it into a massive harvest. in fact in fact just remember with me john 6 if you're new to church this is such a beautiful story there's a story in john 6 where did the jesus has been preaching all day and he's been preaching all day and then the disciples look out the crowd and and and they can tell that the people are they're getting hangry have you ever been around somebody that got hangry you better look out, buddy. Yesterday, my 10 year old was tripping and, and I was ready to go toe to toe with my guy.

17:03 And, and, and then his grandmother said, sweetie, let me make you a sandwich. I said, I'll make him a sandwich. And so he sat and he ate the sandwich and then he came up to me and he goes, I feel so much better. And I was like, oh, he just needed to eat like this, like parenting's new to me. And so the disciples are smart. They said, Jesus, the crowd's gonna turn on us and we're in Nowhereville where DoorDash doesn't come out here. By the way, we were watching TV two days ago and we were watching TV and the DoorDash commercial came on and my little Clivey guy looks and he goes, Chad, dad, it's the girl from Zoe Kids. And it was Molly from Zoe Kids. Clap for Molly, she opened the DoorDash. signs your church made it when you want a DoorDash commercial.

17:55 And these people, they're out in the middle of nowhere. Uber Eats ain't showing up, DoorDash not showing up. And so, and so the disciples said to Jesus, we better, we better feed the people. And Jesus looks at them and says, well, what do you have? See, they were thinking like Jesus, solve it. And he was like, all right, yeah, I will. What do you have to solve it? I cannot offer God something I don't have, but I can give to God something that I do have. Oh, look at the screen. John chapter six, put it on the screen. Here's a boy with five small barley loaves and two small fish. You ever be around somebody that thinks small and talks small and they got that small soul and that small spirit and that small mindset because everything they have, they see it as small. It's a small house and it's a small life and it's a small bank account, but I serve the God that don't see it as small. He sees small as seed. He sees small as something he can use. Come on, only I can bring to God something that he can use and work with. So he said, we got a small barley loaf and a small fish, but how far will these small things go? Jesus said, have the people sit down. Why does he say have the people sit down? Because direction always precedes provision.

19:13 There was plenty of grass in that place. And they sat down, about 5,000 men were there. And Jesus then took the loaves and gave thanks and distributed those who were seated as much as they wanted. He did the same with the fish. I wanna tell you, God doesn't need a lot to do a lot. I serve the God that can take your small thing and turn it into something that's a massive harvest. Somebody praise him today if you believe that he's the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, the God of Jacob, the God that was, the God that is. and the God that is to come, the God that can move a mountain into the sea, a God that can perform a miracle. Anybody believe that he's the God that can shut the mouth of a lion, a God that can take care of you in a fiery furnace? I serve the God that can take out a Goliath. I serve the God that can feed the 5,000, heal the sick, heal the blind, heal the lame. Come on and give him a praise.

20:06 If you believe that he'll take your small thing and turn it into a big thing, give him a praise today. stop looking at your small fish small bread you ever be around a complainer well we got a little we got we got some He goes, what do you have? small people talk small think small act small he says what do you have small fish small bread and he says give to me that small thing and when I break it and bless it I'll turn it into something see my job is to sow seed it's God's job to bring a harvest I'm not in the harvest business I'm in the seed sowing business how about you I heard this story about this pastor that went over to India years ago and when he was over there, he had a healing gift and he was healing the sick and, and he was healing so many people there, blind people, deaf people. He's healing babies. And the crowds came out in the droves for this guy was healing in the name of Jesus. And some of the officials in the city were very upset about this man's work. And so they, they, they beat him and drove him into prison first and then kicked him out of their region. And they were so upset about the work he was doing in the name of Jesus. And so they kicked him out. He flew back home and then about three days, decades later, he flew back to go visit the same village and to go preach again. And when he got there, he was in a taxi and the taxi driver was asking him, what are you here to do? And he told him why I'm here to lay hands on the sick. I'm here to preach in the name of Jesus. And I'm here to see signs and wonders and miracles. And the taxi driver goes, you know, that's crazy. He said about 30 years ago, there was a man that came into our town and did the exact same thing. He said, the people were not happy about it. The village or the leaders of our village were not happy.

22:02 and they drove the man away. They beat him. They put him in jail and they made him leave. He said, but we revolted so much against him that, uh, against, against the officials that out of that one man, 50,000 people were saved and said yes to Jesus because of this man's faith. I'm telling you, my only job is to sow a seed. God's job is to bring the harvest. Only I can do what only I can do, but only God can do what only God can do in my hand. is just a staff, but when God gets a hold of it, it can split a Red Sea. In the widow's jar was just a little bit of oil, but when she gave that small oil to the prophet, it fed her family for generations. Come on, only you can bring your seed offering. God can bring a massive miracle. Clap if you're down to see the salvation and the promise and the fulfillment and the power of our praise him louder if you believe that God can do exceedingly abundantly far above anything stop looking at what's small Now, God can take what is small in man's view and turn it into something massive in the future.

23:14 And so Isaac sowed seed and he reaped a harvest in the same year, in the same exact year. And God wasn't making him. He wasn't forcing Isaac. In fact, write down the next point today. I love this. We don't serve the God of pressureship. God invites us into partnership. God wasn't pressuring Isaac. And God will never force you. He will never manipulate you. He will never make you do something. He will invite you into trust. He will invite you into obedience. He will invite you into your full potential. But he will not force you to do anything. That's why the Bible teaches us, do not give under compulsion. Do not give under manipulation. Do not give reluctantly. God loves a cheerful giver. He loves somebody that's happy to obey, happy to trust. happy to stay in Gerard, happy to give God's best. No, no, we don't serve the God of pressure.

24:09 We serve the God of partner. And I like the word partner because we're in LA and everybody loves to partner. People are like, that's my business partner and we partnered on this album and we collab with that brand and we're collaborators. We got an S Corp, an LLC. We live in this city that is all about partnership. God is all about partnership. And he never wants to pressure you. He always wants to partner with you. That's why, to be honest, I'm preaching the Over and Above offering message this week because I want you to go home for seven days. I want you to pray and ask God, God, what do you want me to give? Because I don't want to preach this message and then at the end be like, all right, what are you guys gonna give? What are you guys giving? Now I want you to go home and pray and I want you to say, God, I know you want to partner with my life and I know you want to partner with my future and so I'm into, I know you're into partnership. I'm into partnership.

25:00 I want to partner with you as you build my life. I'm not serving a God of pressure. It was so funny. I had a friend years ago tell me this story. He was a basketball player and he went to this event that somebody was hosting and it was a bunch of kids, like kids that needed help in their program. And so he went as like an appearance and to like play with the kids and shoot baskets and everything. And the host at the event said to a couple hundred kids there, ain't it great to have so-and-so here? And the kid's going crazy. and he said, man, we're so blessed to have this guy here. And he said, kids, wouldn't it be awesome if so-and-so gave us $200,000?

25:43 And the kids, and he said, what do you say? And he said to the guy, how about you? Come on, will you give us $200,000? And my friend was like, I didn't have a choice. Like if I would have said no, they would have killed me. So he's like, yeah. could you imagine if you serve the God of pressure we don't serve the God that manipulates or coerces us or forces us into sowing or obedience we serve the God that wants to partner with our life to show us the future that he has in obedience to his son come on everybody clap if you believe that God did not force Isaac he invited Isaac don't give out of abundance give out of obedience Don't give because you have enough. Give because God is more than enough. God has been better to me than I could ever imagine.

26:41 He has been greater to me than I could ever deserve. And because God is more than enough and his word is so trustworthy, I give my best to God because he gave his best to me. And I wanna watch God work. I preached this last week. If you could put this quote up, praise is what activates God's power, but sowing is what activates God's provision. Last week with Jehoshaphat, we talked about praising God, which brings the breakthrough, but I'm telling you, sowing will activate God's provision. If anybody here, you'd love to see a little bit more provision in your life. Just let me see your hand. You'd love to see more provision. I'm telling you, when you sow, when you sow into God's kingdom and you sow into God's people, when you sow into God's house, you will experience provision on a level that you've never experienced before. And Isaac, for some strange reason, stood there in a foreign land, in the midst of a famine, in the midst of jealousy, in the midst of fear. And he wanted, his bags were packed. He was ready to go. And God said, stop, live here. I'll bless you. I'll take care of you right here. And he said, I don't know, in the natural, I should take off. But I don't serve the God of the natural. I serve the God of the supernatural. And so he stayed right where God called him to stay. And God did exceedingly and abundantly, far above anything he could ask, think, or imagine. I'll never forget before we planted Zoe Church, I was preaching in a city in the Midwest. And I told an old pastor, an old preacher, where I was going. He said, what are you going to do with your life? And I said, well, sir, I'm so excited. My wife and I, we are going to move to LA. We're living in Seattle.

28:26 We're going to move to LA and we're going to plant a church in Los Angeles. And he looked at me and he goes, no, you're not. I was like no yeah we are he's like no you're not we're sending you to Florida I was like my man I didn't know I worked for you we're sending you to Florida he said you'll never make it in LA you'll never you'll never be able to be on TV you'll never get a building started telling me all these nevers you'll go to Florida I'll help raise the money you'll do well there you'll get this that you get that you'll get the other. No, it doesn't matter what this guy said. It matters what God called my family to walk in. So if God tells you to go, you better go. If God tells you to stay, you better stay. Clap a little bit louder if you're down to do whatever. God, it's not my life. It's your life. It's not my talent. It's your talent. It's not my time. It's your time. In fact, worship team, come join me. Write this last one down. God uses your seed to prepare you for your next season.

29:26 Oh, I love this. Last two scriptures today. The man, Isaac, became rich, and his wealth continued to grow until he became very wealthy, and he had so many flocks and herds, and the servants that the Philistines, they envied him. I love that. The man, Isaac, became rich, and the man, Isaac, became wealthy, and his wealth continued to grow until he became, hold on, how do you go from wealthy to become very wealthy. that's like having a billion dollar buyout to a trillion dollar buyout that's an Elon Musk joke the man became rich and his wealth continued to grow until he became very wealthy and he had so many flocks and herds and the servants that the philistines envied him put this up your seed is not about the moment your seed is about your future god uses your giving to get you ready for what he's building next so he told him to stay in gerar he told him to sow in gerar He says, if you do it, I'll bless you.

30:38 And he was waiting to see if Isaac would obey him. And when Isaac obeyed him, he reaped not just right there in that harvest, but the Lord continued to prosper and bless Isaac beyond his wildest dreams. Can I just encourage you? Your seed offering is not about the moment. It is about the future that God is preparing for your life. let's just play law of opposite just to be fun in our imagination imagine if Isaac got the word from God and said no way I can't I can't stay here this is a famine this is a foreign land these people are going to kill me these people are going to take me out and imagine he left and went where he wanted to go I just want to say if he did that he would have had to make everything happen in his own strength. He would have had to perpetuate his life. He would have had, he would have been forced to try and bless himself. But when he obeyed God and he trusted God, he now was swept up into the blessing of God. I want to encourage you to obey God with your offering, because when you do, it is setting you up for the next season. It is not about the moment, it's about the future.

31:50 And like I said in the beginning, anybody believe that God's got a plan for your future? So to me, it's about saying, God, in this moment, I will obey you, but I know it's setting me up for the future that you have in store. In fact, I wrote it out this way, just put it on the screen. Over and above offering isn't about the offering.

32:10 It's about expanding what God can do through Zoe. It's about making room for more people. It's about us taking new territory. It's about us planting a new location, investing into the next generation, and caring for the needs of our community. We are preparing the ground for what God is about to pour out. Come on, clap if you believe that today. We're preparing the ground. It's not about the moment. It's not about just this one moment. It's about setting us up for the future that God wants us to step into. So he invited Isaac. He didn't force him. he didn't manipulate him. He invited him. Obey me and watch.

32:58 Trust me and watch. Bring what you have and watch. And Isaac obeyed God and he sowed. And God goes, watch me work. Only I can bring a hundredfold blessing. Only I can prosper you to ways and levels that you never dreamt, asked for, or imagined. and I want to encourage you, take seven days and pray. If Zoe is your home church, if you call Zoe your home, take seven days and pray. If Zoe is not your home church, thank you for stopping by today. Can we clap for those that are visiting, maybe from out of town? We're blessed to have you. We're really thankful to have you in the room today. I recognize that every week that we gather as a church, people are visiting from all, we had a couple visit last week from Russia. We had a couple in the last service visit from Singapore this morning.

33:53 I recognize people are visiting from all over the place. Last week, there's a couple family from Missouri. If you're visiting, I hope this word blessed you. But if you're a part of this house, this is your church home. We are preparing for the next seven days to sow into an offering to accelerate the vision of this house because we have not come to get, we have come to give. We have not come to be served. We've come to serve. We've come to make Jesus famous in LA, a city where everybody says, don't go there, go to Florida. No, God called us to LA. And we're not here just to sing some songs. We're here to take new ground. We're here to preach the gospel. We're here to take care of the sick, take care of the poor. We're here to reach the next generation. We're here to raise up our kids in the ways of God. We're here to build a church so glorious, so radiant and so magnificent that the gates of hell would not prevail if it tries to push up and push back against it. We're here to do something for the glory of the living God.

34:49 And we're not here to build a church for this generation. We're building a church for our children's children. We're building a church for the next generation. This miracle seed I'm sowing this next week, I'm sowing in faith that my children's children will be blessed. Amen to that. And so I'll preach this message on this Sunday because I don't want you to walk in next Sunday and go, man, he was preaching, so I had to give something. I had to give an offering. You know, you go to church, they want your money. Jesus does not want your money. By the way, Jesus does not want your money. God has enough money. The Bible says that God owns the cattle on a thousand hills. The earth is the Lord's and the fullness thereof. God is not short on supply, but God knows that your heart is attached to your money. God wants you, not your money. Amen to that.

35:41 And so I want you to pray and ask God. Say, Lord, what would you want me to give? And then that's between you and the Lord. And obey that. Obey that. I'll never forget last year when our first Sunday, our first Sunday in this building, I heard the Lord speak to my wife and I. Bring an offering on the first Sunday. Bring an offering. I said, Lord, it's not even over and above. Why do you want an offering? I just built this thing. I'm tired. Listen, bring an offering. is the largest offering Julie and I have ever given as a family. And I've watched from that offering, I've watched God work in our home in ways I never imagined. Just telling you, I've watched this, I've lived this. When you put a priority on God's house, it'll bring a blessing to your house. When you choose to obey God rather than obey man, God will do signs and wonders in your faith and he'll do signs and wonders in your heart.

36:40 Amen to that. Come on, clap if you got faith today. Why don't you stand to your feet? Again, thank you so much for listening to this week's message. We pray it brought you great strength and great encouragement. Don't forget to like, subscribe, and if you'd like, you can share the message. We'll see you back next Sunday for our Over and Above.
