The world is passing away, along with its desires; but whoever does the will of God remains forever. The world is passing away with its lusts, but he who does God’s will remains forever. And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever. And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.

Why Some Hear and Some Don’t

… If any man loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. And the world is passing away and the lust thereof. But whoever does the will of the Father, whoever does the will of God, is his. when you love the word eventually you will forsake the world when you love the world eventually you will forsake the word the seed will produce or you will love what is competing with it enough that it will get choked out now the thing is so far we've looked at three different hearts all of these three and the fourth can all be in church. … I want you to listen to what he says in 1 John 2, verses 15 through 17. Don't love the world or the things in the world. NOW, ONE ILLUSTRATION IS WORTH THOUSANDS OF WORDS. I DON'T KNOW A BETTER ILLUSTRATION THAN THE LIFE OF A MAN NAMED LOT, WHO WAS A SAVED MAN, WHO WAS SAVED BY THE GRACE OF GOD, AND YET WHILE HE WAS SAVED BY GRACE, FAILED TO LEARN THE LESSON THAT TITUS TAUGHT IN TITUS CHAPTER TWO, VERSES 11 AND 12. NOW THIS TIME I WANT YOU TO TURN TO THE SCRIPTURE, AND I WANT YOU TO TURN, UH, TO SECOND PETER, UH, CHAPTER ONE, SECOND PETER, CHAPTER ONE. LOOK IN, UH, VERSE ONE, SIMON PETER, A SERVANT AND AN APOSTLE OF JESUS CHRIST, TO THEM THAT HAVE OBTAINED LIKE PRECIOUS FAITH WITH US, THROUGH THE RIGHTEOUSNESS OF GOD AND OUR SAVIOR JESUS CHRIST. GRACE AND PEACE BE MULTIPLIED UNTO YOU THROUGH THE KNOWLEDGE OF GOD AND OF JESUS OUR LORD. PEACE FOLLOWS GRACE AND IT ALL COMES THROUGH FAITH. THAT'S WHAT PETER IS SAYING. BUT THEN PETER, LIKE PAUL, SEES THAT THERE ARE SOME WHO WOULD BE A DISGRACE TO GRACE. AND HE GIVES SOME EXAMPLES. …
