For since we believe that Jesus died and rose again, we also believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in Him.For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with him those who have fallen asleep in Jesus. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him.For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also that are fallen asleep in Jesus will God bring with him.

Christian – Is That You ?
Jack Hibbs, 2026-07-29

… I do not want you to be an ignoramus, brethren, concerning those who have fallen asleep. Whenever Christians are spoken about having passed or died, the Bible refers to them as having fallen asleep. Isn't that beautiful? Their body. They look dead. I mean, their body is dead, but they're gone. They're not in the body. Concerning those who have fallen asleep, lest you sorrow as others who have no hope. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with him, here they come, those who sleep in Jesus. You see that? Remember we read that a little while ago in the previous chapter? Verse 15. For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord will by no means precede those who are asleep. For the Lord himself will descend from heaven with the shout, with the voice of the archangel and the trumpet of God and the dead in Christ will rise first. …

The Coming Of The King – Part 3
Jack Hibbs, 2026-06-03

… Paul wrote to the Thessalonians, but I do not want you to be ignorant or uninformed, brethren, concerning those who have fallen asleep, believers who have died, lest you sorrow as others who have no hope. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with him those who sleep in Jesus, speaking of the body. For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord will by no means precede those who are asleep or who died before us. In other words, we're not going to go up before those who died. Their body's going to be resurrected and then we're going to follow them up. Watch this. For the Lord himself would descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel. And here it comes again. This is that last trump. There's only two trumps. Not two trumps. There's a lot of trumps. Two trumpets. I don't know why I said trump. There's the first and the second, first and the last trump. …

The Coming Of The King – Part 2
Jack Hibbs, 2026-05-27

… This is important. I do not want you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning those who have fallen asleep, believers who have died, lest you sorrow as others who have no hope. Lee, listen carefully. And Tina, if she's in here tonight, listen carefully. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with him those who sleep or died in Jesus. for this we say to you by the word of the Lord that we who are alive and remain hello suddenness until the coming of the Lord will by no means proceed those who have fallen asleep or died for the Lord himself will descend from heaven with the shout with the voice of the archangel and the trumpet of God and the dead in Christ will rise first then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them, wow, in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air. And of course, based on John 14, verses 1, 2, and 3, and thus we shall always be with the Lord. …

Jesus is Returning I Jentezen Franklin

… never got married she didn't want an ignorant man she's just i do not want you ignorant brother concerning those who have fallen asleep or died, lest you sorrow as others who have no hope. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with him those who sleep in Jesus. When we die, our body goes in the ground, but our spirit goes to Jesus. And he can't bring them with him if they're not with him. They're with him. Right now, they're with him. Praise God. I want to read that again. As he said, he will bring with him those who sleep in Jesus. For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord. Whose doctrine? Is this an apostle? even? No, this is by the word of Jesus, this will happen. This is his promise. If he's lying here, he's lying big right here. He is not a liar, nor a man that he can lie. This is by the word of the Lord that we who are alive and remain, notice Paul says we who are alive because he lived with an expectancy that the coming of the Lord would happen in his lifetime. …

1 Thessalonians 4
Skip Heitzig, 2026-03-25

… Verse 13, we launch into it. But I do not want you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning those who have fallen asleep, lest you sorrow as others who have no hope. for if we believe that Jesus died and rose again even so God will bring with him those who sleep in Jesus for this we say to you by the word of the Lord don't worry we're going to go back over all those phrases that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord will by no means precede those who are asleep for the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a shout with the voice of an archangel, with the trumpet of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord. Therefore, comfort one another with these words. I wanted to read to the end so that I could technically say no matter when we stop tonight that I have finished the chapter it's my little cheetah moany thing that I do. Okay, so back to verse 13, I do not want you to be ignorant. I've discovered whenever Paul uses this terminology, I don't want you to be ignorant about something. It's generally an area that Christians are the most ignorant of. …

End Times: Signs You Can’t Ignore
Craig Groeschel, 2025-10-19

… We believe that Jesus, the son of God, we believe that Jesus died and rose again. And so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him. Why is Paul talking about this? Well, there were some people, these new Christians, they were freaking out, worried that their loved ones that had already died were gonna miss out on the return of Jesus. Like, well, if they're dead, what's gonna happen to them? They're not gonna get the salvation that we have. And Paul assures them, no, that when a believer dies, that's not the end. It's like they've fallen asleep in Christ. And so when we grieve as Christians, if we lose a fellow Christian, we grieve because we miss them. But we don't grieve like those who have no hope. And Amy can tell you, it had never been more clear to us than years ago, in one week, we had two separate families that had two tragic accidents and both families lost sons in their 20s. …

Scared to Death (Revelation 6:12-17)
John MacArthur, 2024-03-03

… not grieve as do the rest who have no hope. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with Him those who have fallen asleep in Jesus. For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord will not precede those who have fallen asleep. The Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we shall always be with the Lord. Therefore comfort one another with these words." comes to the earth. Believers go to heaven. Amen. Because we are not of the darkness. We are sons of light, sons of the day, and we are not destined for wrath. Jesus said, I go to prepare what? …
