… at Jerusalem and presents to Hezekiah king of Judah so that he was exalted in the sight of all nations thereafter here. let me add a comment here when the Lord does the exalting it's good it's always for a redemptive purpose don't foolishly put down either your own promotion or somebody else's when God's involved because it's always for a purpose he says humble yourself unto the mighty hand of God and he will exalt you in due time. It is part of the purpose and the plan of God. But it always, increased blessing is increased responsibility to live redemptively for the blessing of other people. And to miss the purpose of the promotion is to misuse favor. anytime promotion comes into any of our lives if it doesn't benefit the people around us then we've misused the favor Merry Christmas. His heart was lifted up. when the Lord demonstrates his favor his power his miracle anything that he does that he releases in our life it is foolish to have no response to give him in return arrogance allows God to act and for us to think that's the way it's supposed to be and just go on and continue living the kindness of the Lord is supposed to provoke dependency humility and sacrifice out of the life of every believer the interventions of God he does not we don't repay in the sense that we could actually afford to buy anything from God. There's nothing that you and I …

… Many were bringing gifts to the Lord of Jerusalem and choice presents to Hezekiah, king of Judah, so that he was exalted in the sight of all nations thereafter. In those days, Hezekiah became mortally ill. And he prayed to the Lord. And the Lord spoke to him and gave him a sign, but Hezekiah gave no return for the benefit he received because his heart was proud. Therefore, God came on him and on Judah and Jerusalem. Somebody says, God doesn't ever make anybody sick. Go back to David's son. He struck him with sickness. Hezekiah became more ill. Why do you think he became more ill? God didn't just put that in between two verses that talk about his pride. One of the ways that God gets our attention is through sickness and through affliction. For example, how did God get the attention of Saul of Tarsus on the Damascus Road on his way to destroy the church of God? He blinded his eyes. And for three days he couldn't see anything. …
