I am FORGIVEN and Free - Louie Giglio
Louie Giglio, 2026-10-05

… It's not about being in a denomination or even being in a Bible study. The question is, are you in Christ? And if you are, everything has changed. The way Paul wrote it in 2 Corinthians 5, verse 17, he said, therefore, if anyone is in Christ, that's powerful. That means this is an all comers faith. If anyone is, and there's the position, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come. The old is gone. The new is here. Another translation said, if anyone is in Christ, he or she is a new creation. The old is gone, the new is here. So what we're doing in this collection is we're taking Paul's advice in Ephesians 4, where he says that we are to put off our old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires, and to be made new in the attitude of our minds. So that's what we're going to do today. We're going to open God's word and we're going to ask God's word to make our minds new. …

… that's my heart this represents your heart because we gotta have love and that scripture i read to you was in second corinthians 5 17 every man that's in christ he becomes a new creature okay so we got a new heart. Well, pastor, why does it seem like some people love God more than other people? Like some people, you mentioned God and they just, oh, like, like, why does it, why does it feel like some people love God more? Point number two, love grows. Let me ask all the parents who have a teenager or an adult child, do you love your child more the same or less than when they were born. You love them more. You may not like them more, but you love them more because your love for them has grown because you've had time with them. You've had experience with them. You have spent time in their presence. See, the reason why some people's love for God seems greater than others, it's all about how much time you spend with him. …

Robert Jeffress, 2026-09-10

… Christ came to die for you so you don't have to stay the same way you are. The Bible says if any man be in Christ, he is a new creation. All things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new. No matter what you've inherited, no matter what pulls at you, you are not stuck. That's the good news. In Christ, you become a new creation. God is not finished with any of us. So don't lose heart. Keep praying, keep loving, and keep trusting the one who makes all things new. You know, for 30 years now, Pathway to Victory has been willing to walk into awkward spaces. boldly addressing the tender, uncomfortable subjects most programs tiptoe around. Enlightened Together: A New Ministry
Alistair Begg, 2026-09-01

… that would bring out the seed of Abraham, namely Jesus. So that in Jesus, not only would be as individuals a new creation, if any man is in Christ, he is a new creation, the old is gone, but all those new creations are being put together into an entirely new entity, a new man. And it is in that context that they then are partakers of the gospel, the promise of redemption, united with Christ. And the means by which that becomes a reality is the proclamation of the gospel. The proclamation of the gospel. How do people become Christians? They have the gospel told to them, proclaimed to them. In him, Ephesians 1, in him, when you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation, and believed. You heard it. You believed it. Why? Because somebody proclaimed it. Can I give you a quote from John Murray, one of the finest Reformed theologians ever to come from Scotland and make his impact in America? Listen to this carefully, especially some of you who may struggle with the way in which you are proclaiming the gospel. …

… through faith in Jesus you experience an entirely new identity 2 Corinthians 5 17 you are a new creation oh this is so key in a culture that equates identity with sexuality. And we could list all the different labels that we assign one another, LGBTQIA and on and on and on, like different ways to identify, define your identity according to your sexuality in such a way that you view the world through that grid. but the gospel awakens us to an entirely new grid. The gospel opens our eyes to the reality that God, our creator, is good and loving, that we at our core have sinned against him and our identity is sinful, all of us. But Jesus came to pay the price for our sins on a cross. And in doing so, he has made a way for you and me to have an entirely new identity. His identity. No longer separated from God, now reconciled to God. No longer stained by sin, now clean from sin. No longer slaves to sin and self, but now free to live according to God's good design, no longer guilty before God as judge, but now loved by God as father, no longer deserving of eternal separation from God, never to grasp all that he has created you to be. No, now you have eternal life experiencing more and more every day for all of eternity, exactly who God has created you to be. I think about Rosaria Butterfield, who describes herself as a lesbian professor at a large …

Meditating on God’s Presence
David Platt, 2026-08-12

… that's not the end of the story because scripture also talks about not just how christ is in us but how we are in christ as christians 2nd Corinthians 5 17 if anyone is in christ he's a new creation the old is gone the new has come so let's bring christ into the picture there's christ i'm gonna put you in christ so see you in there you can barely see it but it's through christ put you in there you're in christ you're sealed new creation old gone new come things looking pretty good. But then it gets even better because Colossians chapter 3 goes on to talk about how since we have died to ourselves, we're now hidden with Christ. Anybody know how the verse ends? We're hidden with Christ in God, in God. So now we're going to bring in the big one. Here we go. Here's the big one, God. So we're going to put Spirit of Christ in you, you in Christ, Christ in God. …

The Victory Zone - Touré Roberts

… when you accepted Christ, the Bible says if any man is in Christ, he is a new creation. Old things are passed away. Behold, all things become new. So there's a version of you that wants to live even though it's dead. It wants to live. It wants to pretend like it's alive. It's called your flesh. And you've got to remember it's dead. It's like if it's dead, how come it's still moving? Because you've got to keep it dead. It's dead in the sense that it can't produce life. It can only produce death. it can't your flesh cannot produce anything that matters it can only partner watch this with the adversary of your soul to tear you down so you have a part of you that is like a judas oh i gotta stop there's a part of you that is like the young folks say you you have an ops in you and it's in partnership with the enemy to take you down. So you have to remember that it's dead. …

… spirit. 1 Corinthians 15 50. Flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God. Now the new birth results in new behavior. We see in 2 Corinthians 5 17. If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. Old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new. Isn't that gorgeous? Because that old life that I used to live that I thought was really living before Jesus is gone. That's a life of death and sin, but the life that I now live, I live by faith in the Son of God, and I have a completely new life. I have a completely new direction. I have a completely new outlook, and everything is new. Now, the next thing is he says that we don't sin. Now, just so you think correctly about this, it's that we don't make plans or we don't practice sin any longer. It's not that we're incapable of sinning, to be clear. Look at 1 John 1.8. He says, if we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. …

… profound and clear observance of that. The Bible says regarding you and I in the transformation that as believers we have experienced. Now listen, 2 Corinthians chapter 5 verse 17, you say, yeah, yeah, I know that. But let me ask you something. Is 2 Corinthians 5 17, can you say that this has really happened in your life, check out this verse. It's on the screen. By faith, you can see it. 2 Corinthians 5, 17 says, Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. All things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new. That is not some sort of a pixie dust display or verbiage from God. God says those who have come to Christ, what is old has been done away with. the past life that you and I used to be, we call it BC days before Christ. God takes that and he applies his blood, the blood of Christ at the cross. When we come to him, he washes away our sins, which is radical. Listen, we won't go into this right now, but when he washes away our sins, this is a theological fact that's just impossible for us to understand. He washes away our sins, past, present, and future. Now you say, wait, what? He washed away my past sins, but the sins of my present and of my future? Well then, does that mean I should just keep going sinning then? Impossible. No way. Because when you realize that he's washed away your old sins, …

When the Waiting Comes I Jentezen Franklin

… a prayer in the same lifestyle. He calls you out. It's a beautiful picture of the world that you were in into a brand new life. If any man be in Christ, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away and behold, I live now for you. I'll give up everything I have for you. I'm selling out to you. This is not some casual Christianity that you just kind of love the Lord and do your own thing all week long. This is this extreme devotion, this heartfelt faith that says, I believe in you more than anything I can see. And I will chase after you. And the Bible said, he began to build altars. He built seven altars. I preached on all of those altars one time and he built altars every place God took him. He would build an altar and offer a sacrifice. And he kept building them all of his life. And then something happened. Lot was with him. God didn't call lot, But Lot was a smart man because he said, if I don't have the favor of God, I'm going to get around somebody that does have the favor of God. …

What Was the Price on That?
Guest speaker, 2026-03-08

… As 2 Corinthians reminds us, Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he's a new creation. The old has passed away. Behold, the new has come. All this is from God, who through Christ reconciled us to himself and gave us the ministry of reconciliation. That is, in Christ, God was reconciling the world to himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and entrusting to us the message of reconciliation. 2 Corinthians chapter 5. Therefore, live as one who is redeemed, paid for, and set free. Your body and soul are no longer yours. They belong to the one who has purchased us. But his purchase is not for a slavish existence, but for the joy of being with him who has called us his own. Because he has so redeemed us, we find that we're free to be directed by him and called his own. It's not our perfect lives that make that connection, but his. So when we see someone with a new car, a new house, new boat or motorcycle, we naturally are curious. …

… He says, yeah, but if any man is in Christ or woman is in Christ, he's a new creation. Old things are passed away. Behold, all things are become new. You feel like you're paralyzed? You're unable to walk forward into the next place that God has for you? He says, well, I chose you though, and I appointed you that you would go and bear fruit. And I appointed you that your fruit should abide by this as my father glorified that you bear much fruit. And I'm not gonna let you not glorify my father. Don't go forward in your own power. You can go forward in mine. You feel like a bad parent? Feel like a bad parent? He says, yeah, well, where you're weak, that's the exact place I'm strong. You say, but God, I feel so incapable. And he says, yeah, but I'm so infinitely capable. You say, God, I'm so dysfunctional. He says, yeah, but I'm so whole. You say, I'm so deficient. He says, yeah, I am so sufficient. …

… He can sanctify you by his blood and by his spirit. If any man is in Christ, he is a new creation. Old things are passed away. Behold, all things are become new. It's Christ who lives through you. And that means he can restore you and sanctify you and make you new. And he justifies you, which means that he removes your guilt before God. Jesus died for your sexual sin. He paid the full price for your disobedience so that you could say there is therefore no condemnation. … The Bible tells us clearly and plainly, and I love it, in 2 Corinthians chapter 5 and verse 17. Here's what it says. If any man be in Christ, he is a new creature. If any man be in Christ. You know, when God put Noah in the ark, the Bible says that God shut the door. You know what the Bible says about those of us who believe in the Lord Jesus Christ? After that you've believed, you are sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise. Not only did God shut the water out, God shut Noah in. Now you say, what if I lose my salvation? How could Noah have lost his salvation? God shut the door. Noah may have fallen down several times inside that ark, but he couldn't fall out of it. A lot of folks get the idea, boy, you know, one of these days I'm going to be secure. I'm going to be secure when I get to heaven. I'm going to get to heaven, slam the door behind my back, wipe the sweat off my brow and say, oh boy, I made it. …
