The Breakdown: "On the Come Up From Underwater"
Rev. David Malcolm McGruder & Rev. Dr. Danielle Ayers, 2026-09-23 · Scripture reading

in that moment. Right. So it calls us to understand, it calls on us to discern that just because we are faithful witnesses in the community, that it doesn't mean that we won't experience financial setbacks, that even when we're doing right, things will go wrong, but that our contributions, what we give, what we sow, is a blessing. I think, as you said, what happens if, You know, how does my financial mismanagement impact other people? Great question. We want to grow to the place where we can ask, how does my stewardship, my faithfulness to God, how will this impact and be a blessing to other folks? Right. That's the word of God for the people of God. We say thanks be unto God. We on the come up from underwater. Amen. Give God praise for Dr. Ayers tonight. We thank God for our senior pastor, Dr. Haynes, for preaching this word with such power and authority. And we extend to those of you who might be watching us tonight, those of you who may be in the sanctuary, this privilege to be connected with this prophetic community of faith, like those who are in the scriptures, those seekers, those discerners of the spirit of God and of the times. …

God Can Restore What Seems Lost
Craig Groeschel, 2025-09-28

So many other big miracles. Where did it fall? the man of God asked. The text tells us this, when he showed the place, Elisha cut a stick and threw it into the water at that spot. And then the ax had floated to the surface. Grab it, Elisha said, and the man reached out and grabbed it. God used the prophet to raise an ax head out of the water and it floated. All the miracles. God used Elisha to part the Jordan River. God used Elisha to purify water in the Jericho. God used Elijah to heal a leper. God used Elijah to raise a dead boy back to life. With all the problems in the world, why would God use Elijah to make an axe head float? …

Where You Meet God
Steven Furtick, 2025-01-14

… he gives us that the greatest and most strategic breakthroughs occur. I want you to join me for a moment today in 2 Kings chapter 6 verses 1 through 7. I took a poll of 10 Christians, 10 people who went to Bible school. 9.7 of the 10 said, I've never heard that story preached before. So that means today this will be the best sermon on 2 Kings 6, 1 through 7 you've ever heard. So I'm stacking the odds in my favor. You can't say anything else. You say, well, that's the best sermon I've ever heard about that scripture because it's the only one I've heard about that scripture. Now I am rested, but I might be a little rusty, so I need your grace amens today while I'm preaching. I said I need your grace amens today. We're going to get our timing down in the first 10 minutes so we can go to church here. I don't want you to miss anything the Lord has for you, so lean in from the very beginning. …
