Huckleberry Everything
Levi Lusko, 2026-08-17

… by which have been given to us exceedingly great and precious promises that through these, you may be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust. And we thank God for his word. I love this because Peter doesn't say you've been given some things you'll need for this Christian life and the rest you're going to have to figure out on your own. He says, as has been given to us all things. And the church said, all things. All things have been given to us. All things necessary pertaining to life and godliness. Exceedingly great and precious promises. God has given to you every single thing you need to thrive in the abundant life that he has called for you to live in this world. To overcome the corruption, to escape the corruption that is in the world, the lusts that are pulling at us. God has given you exactly what you need, everything you need pertaining to life and godliness, huckleberry, everything. …

You Better Recognize - Touré Roberts
Touré Roberts, 2026-07-19 · Scripture reading

I want to speak from this thought today. You better recognize. You better recognize. Father in heaven, we bless you. Hallelujah. We honor you. We feel the weight of your glory, the weight of your presence. You are here with us and you have purpose to do great things in our midst. The opening of the blind eyes, the deliverance of the captives, the healing of the sick, hallelujah, and so much more. And so have your way, hallelujah. God, your servant, thanks you for the spirit of wisdom and revelation and insight and knowledge and prophecy and full access to the secrets of heaven that I might feed your sons and daughters. And may the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in your sight. I thank you for not only us coming in, but how we're going to leave out. In Jesus' name, amen. Amen. Do me a favor. Give God a shout. Greet somebody as you take your seat in God's house. Hallelujah. Let's go to work, baby. I want to, I want to, yes, sir, I want to continue with something that we started. I was going to say Wednesday night, but Wednesday night was a continuum of the things that have been happening in our movement and our midst really since we concluded 30 years of ministry. Yeah. Because it became emphatically clear that we had stepped into another era, another wave of grace and glory for our church. …

The Way of All The Earth - Louie Giglio
Louie Giglio, 2026-04-27 · Scripture reading

… us by his own glory and goodness. Through these, he is given, there is another thing we're receiving, us his very great and precious promises so that through them you may participate in the divine nature having escaped the corruption in the world caused by evil desires when you were born again you got a birthright you were given a gift you were given promise you were given the ability to participate in the divine nature of God that doesn't mean you're going to become God doesn't mean you're going to become divine at any point, but you can participate in the divine nature of God. It's a birthright. You have to lean into it. He goes on to say, for this very reason, make every effort to add to your faith. So in other words, don't just profess faith, but possess faith. Add to your faith, goodness, and to goodness, knowledge, and to knowledge, self-control to self-control, perseverance to perseverance, godliness to godliness, mutual affection, and to mutual affection, love. For if you possess, hello, these qualities in increasing measure, they will keep you from being ineffective and unproductive in your knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. In other words, they'll keep you from just living a life that said, I've made a profession of faith. And they will lead you to a life of actually possessing the miracle of faith. But whoever does not have them is nearsighted and blind, forgetting that they have been cleansed from their past sins. Therefore, my brothers and sisters, make every …

… of the divine nature. And that's the language in 2 Peter 1.4. We become sharers in the God-man. We become sharers joined to him in the divine nature without ceasing to be human. It's Peter's way of talking about sanctification. In fact, I'll say more about this in a minute. We become even more human as we become sharers in the divine nature, Just as humanity and divinity are not at odds in Jesus, they need not be at odds in us. But we wait on humanity for a few minutes. one aspect of Christian growth individually and corporately is becoming a greater sharer of God's nature in Christ. So brothers, is your church growing in godliness? Not growth in human numbers necessarily, but growth in divine nature. Are people in your church and your church as a whole growing in likeness to Jesus. And let me tag on here between stream three on divinity and what's coming in stream four. You might want to guess what stream four is gonna be. …

I Want a Monday Kind of Faith
Pastor Taylor Bronisz, 2026-03-04

… his precious and very great promises so that through them you may become partakers of the divine nature, having escaped from the corruption that is in the world because of sinful desire. You've had this experience. I have this a lot. There's like a movie that I wanna watch. It's like, man, I haven't seen that movie in a long time. I want to go watch it. So I go Google it because honestly, there's so many streaming platforms. I find it. I'm like, oh, yes, cool. They have it. And then I only find out it's locked behind a paywall on some dumb sounding streaming service, something like Tubo or Fubo, Freebie, right? Another dumb, dumb name. I don't know where they come up with these names, but they do, right? It's just like, hey, sorry, buddy. You can't watch your favorite episode of Battlestar Galactica. it's locked behind a paywall on thingamajig, right? There's always some new subscription, some new service that you have to pay for to get what you want. …

Speak Boldly – Part 2
David Platt, 2026-01-14

… 10 talks about how we're putting on the image of Christ, the new man, day in and day out. 2 Peter 1, verse 3 and 4 talks about how we are maturing into the image of God. 1 John 3, verse 2 says that one day we will be like him. We will be transformed into his presence. This is the whole agenda, the whole purpose of the Bible. Don't miss it. To show us the glory of Christ and to bring us, transform us into the image of Christ. Now, at this point, I want us to dive a little deeper into our contemporary context and why the Word must be central in worship. The Word's purpose is to show us Christ and to make us look more like Christ. We've got that on the table, right? Now, if that's the Word's purpose, then I want us to think about what is not the Word's purpose. I want you to follow along with me here because some of you might hear me say this and think that I'm heretical. …

The Perversion of Love (Ephesians 5:3-7)
John MacArthur, 2022-06-12

… Through the true knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and excellence. For by these He has granted to us His precious and magnificent promises," and then this amazing statement, "'so that by them you may become partakers of the divine nature, having escaped, past tense, the corruption that is in the world by lust.'" What is the new birth? You're a new creation, and you have been granted the divine nature. You have been transformed. You're a new creation, and God Himself, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit all take up residence in the believer. This is the way we are to understand salvation. Let me borrow from Paul in Galatians chapter 4 and verse 4. He speaks about this transformation. But when the fullness of time came, God sent forth His Son, born of a woman, born under the law, so that He might redeem those who were under the law, that we might receive the adoption as sons. We are both born sons and adopted sons. …

… By His own glory and excellence, as it ends in verse 3, by these things, the glory and excellence of God, He has granted to us His precious and magnificent promises. Again, all that awaits us in eternal glory is promised to us in the gospel. He granted to us His precious and magnificent promises, so that by them you may become partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world by lust. This is talking about, again, the nature of our salvation. We have become partakers of the divine nature. In other words, we possess the life of God. We have escaped the corruption that is in the world by lust. We have been given promises that God will fulfill. Now we come to verse 5. Now, for this very reason, applying all diligence in your faith, supply moral excellence, and in your moral excellence, knowledge, and in your knowledge, self-control, and in your self-control, perseverance, and in your perseverance, godliness, and in your godliness, brotherly kindness, and in your brotherly kindness, love. …

Coming Into the Presence of God
Francis Chan, 2017-07-14

… his precious and very great promises, so that through them you may become partakers of the divine nature, having escaped from the corruption that is in the world because of sinful desire. Here's what I want to get at. For this very reason, make every effort to supplement your faith with virtue and virtue with knowledge and knowledge with self-control and self-control with steadfastness and steadfastness with godliness and godliness with brotherly affection and brotherly affection with love. For if these qualities are yours and are increasing, they keep you from being ineffective or unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. See, he says, look, God's given you everything. He goes, because of that, he says, you better make every effort toward this type of character. can you have faith that God can do all these things well add to your faith some virtue here how about you get the sin out of your life and add to that some self control that when the temptation there's you and he goes all of these things you add and you add and you add it's all about your character and he says because if these qualities are in you and increasing that's your guarantee that you won't waste your life that you will not live an ineffective life. …
