Miracles Of Power – Part 1
Robert Jeffress, 2026-10-07

… Satan through Antichrist will have the ability to perform miracles to deceive people. In 2 Thessalonians 2 verses 8 and 9, he's called the lawless one. He will perform many miracles to deceive the unbelieving. And of course, God will be performing miraculous signs too in the series of the seal, trumpet, and bowl judgments. And then the world will witness the greatest miracle of all, and that is the creation of the new heaven and the new earth. Those are God's miraculous displays of power. But even though those displays of power are limited to those five times, it seems like, those five periods, that doesn't mean God isn't working today miraculously. He's working in your life and in my life. How do I know that? Listen to the words of Isaiah 40 verse 28. God says, do you not know? Have you not heard? The everlasting God, the Lord, the creator of the ends of the earth does not become weary or tired. his understanding is inscrutable. God is not in heaven right now exhausted saying, oh, those four periods of miracles just wore me out. I've got to save my strength. I've got one more I've got to be ready for. So I'm going to just kind of recoup my energy and you're on your own Christians for right now. You work your own miracles. Does he say that? Of course not. God is not diminished in any way by any act of power that he exerts. God's power is limitless. The power that works in your life is …

Look! Jesus is Coming Back
Guest speaker, 2026-10-07

… word. His word is so powerful that he can uncreate all things by his word. My guess is that's probably what John is getting at here. Second Thessalonians 2 verse 8 says that Jesus destroys the Antichrist you know how? With the breath, with the breath of his mouth. He simply breathes, just like he breathed into Adam and there was life. He breathes and the Antichrist is done. That is the King Jesus that we serve, that when he speaks, things can't help but obey his voice. When he was on the Sea of Galilee and his disciples were freaking out for their lives, he gets up, he yawns, peace be still, go back to bed. Waves are done. Who is this? What manner of man is this, that he speaks and the winds and the wave obey him. Now out of his mouth goes a sharp sword that with it he should strike the nations and he himself will rule them with a rod of iron. He himself treads the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God. This imagery is really intense. Why is there blood on his robe? Because he's been treading the winepress. …

2 Thessalonians 2:13-3:18
Skip Heitzig, 2026-06-17

… verse 8, I don't want to go through all of it since I went through it last time, but I do want to lead up to something. He says, and then the lawless one will be revealed. The lawless one also called the son of perdition a few verses back. The lawless one will come or be revealed whom the Lord will consume with the breath of his mouth and destroy with the brightness of his coming. If you feel comfortable writing in the margin of your Bible, God bless you, first of all. And then write Revelation 19 next to that verse and look it up later. that will show you the event that is described in one verse, and that is the coming of Jesus Christ, who will destroy the Antichrist with the brightness of his coming. The coming, he says, of the lawless one is according to the working of Satan with all power, signs, and lying wonders. You probably remember Matthew chapter 24, the words given by Jesus Christ to his disciples on the Mount of Olives, also known as the Olivet Discourse, when they ask about signs of your coming and of the end of the age. He said, many will come in my name and claim that I am the Christ. They are the Christ. …

2 Thessalonians 2:1-12
Skip Heitzig, 2026-06-03

… from being revealed. What is it? For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work. only he who restrains will do so until he is taken out of the way and then the lawless one aka antichrist aka son of perdition aka man of sin then the lawless one will be revealed whom the lord will consume with the breath of his mouth and destroy with the brightness of his coming. The coming of the lawless one is according to the working of Satan with all power, signs, and lying wonders. Okay, what is this restraining force that is keeping the Antichrist and these events from unfolding? What is it or who is it? And I say what is it or who is it because in verse 6, you know what is restraining. And then in verse 7, he puts a personal pronoun to it. He, and notice it's capitalized in your Bible, right? He who restrains will do so until he is taken out of the way. So there have been many guesses as to who or what this restraining influence is. Some have said it's the government. …

The Daze Of The Antichrist
Jack Hibbs, 2026-05-06

… Doesn't turn out well for him, but... And at the second coming, Jesus Christ, the Lord, will consume him with the breath of his mouth, 2 Thessalonians 2, verse 8. Number 39, Jesus will destroy him with the brightness of his coming, 2 Thessalonians 2, 8. That's going to be a good day. By the way, you're going to be coming back with Jesus on that. You're going to see that. You're going to see that Jesus will be in front, and you and I will see that happen in the second coming. Read Revelation 19. It's awesome. And number 40, he will be cast alive into the lake of fire, the Antichrist. The Antichrist will be tormented day and night forever and ever, Revelation 20, verse 10. Yeah, that's good news. That's excellent. And so these are some dynamics about the Antichrist that you probably wouldn't get in any kind of routine study. I understand that. Very interesting things about a very interesting individual. But we'll end with this. …

The Daze Of The Antichrist – Part 2
Jack Hibbs, 2026-04-08

… That's all. And then the lawless one, notice, then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord will consume with the breath of his mouth and destroy with the brightness of his coming. That's the second coming. The coming of the lawless one is according to the working of Satan with all power, signs, and lying wonders. Boy, we don't have the time to get into what that means. But let me tell you, without truth and without the Holy Spirit in you, you and I would fall to every one of those manifestations by pure deception. only the Holy Spirit can protect you and the truth of God what a tremendous thing and with all unrighteous deception among those who are perishing wow because why because they did not receive the love of the truth which means every one of us need to check our own hearts if we did have we received the love of the truth that's the question that they might be saved. They didn't want to be saved. …

… creeping over the world. It's already at work in the first century, Paul says, only he who now restrains it will do so till he is out of the way. And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord has called the man of lawlessness elsewhere, whom the Lord Jesus will kill with his breath, the breath of his mouth and bring to nothing by the appearance of his coming. That's when these days of evil end. Or 2 Corinthians 4, 4. In their case, the unbelievers, the God of this age, that's the devil, has blinded the minds of unbelievers to keep them from seeing the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ. So there's a God of this age. Jesus is Lord. And for reasons that we are puzzled by, he gives an amazing leash to the devil. this age. So the devil is the god of this age under the lordship of Jesus and therefore we will be in battle to the end. Two more texts on this, three more. …

… rises to the top. Listen to the description of Him in 2 Thessalonians 2, verse 8, the lawless one, the lawless one. Then verse 9 describes Him. The one who is coming is in accord with the activity of Satan. He's a satanic agent. agent. But He comes with all power and signs and false wonders. I used to wonder how that could be perpetrated. Don't wonder anymore. Have you heard of AI, artificial intelligence? He comes with all power and signs and false wonders, and with all the deception of wickedness for those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth who has to be saved. For the people who aren't saved, they buy into the deception. And God sends them, in verse 11, a deluding influence so they will believe what is false in order that they may be judged. He's going to be effective. The whole world, apart from those who have come to faith in Christ during that time period, will follow Him right into death and judgment. …
