For this reason, even though I suffer as I do, I am not ashamed; for I know whom I have believed, and I am convinced that He is able to guard what I have entrusted to Him for that day.For this cause I also suffer these things. Yet I am not ashamed, for I know him whom I have believed, and I am persuaded that he is able to guard that which I have committed to him against that day.For the which cause I also suffer these things: nevertheless I am not ashamed: for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day.For which cause I suffer also these things: yet I am not ashamed; for I know him whom I have believed, and I am persuaded that he is able to guard that which I have committed unto him against that day.

… and then 2 Timothy 2 Timothy chapter 1 verse 12 says Paul the apostle says I know whom I have believed and I am persuaded that he is able to keep what I have committed to him until that day understanding this that in all of life and your life, my life right here, right now I know this though I may not understand everything God does and I lean in upon him. I do not trust in my own heart. I lean upon him because I have been persuaded. And here's the beautiful thing, Christian. Have you been persuaded or are you being persuaded? You wanna be able to come to that place to be able to say like Paul, I've been persuaded in whom I've believed. He has come through for me time and time again. He'll never abandon me. He'll never let me go. He'll never forsake me. He's consistent. He's constant. He's not a man that he should lie. What he says, he will fulfill. amazing and then look at the latter end of verse or I should say the front end of verse 6 we want to seek him for everything we want to seek him for everything it says in verse 6 in all your ways acknowledge him and so here's the call to obedience this is the instruction follow me God is saying in this acknowledge me acknowledge me in all of your ways consult me first so I wrote there in my notes you can see that if you have them on page 7 …
… I know my Redeemer lives. 2 Timothy 1, I know whom I have believed and am persuaded that he is able to keep what I have committed to him until that day. I know it. There's no debate about it. Which means there's a process happening. I came to Christ at 19 years old. and I have over the years become more like him. I should say I look more like him now than I did at 19 years old. But there might be some time in my life or on any given day you might say, well, you don't look as much today as you look like him the other day. …
… a preacher, an apostle, and a teacher. For this reason I also suffer these things, but I am not ashamed, for I know whom I have believed, and I am convinced that He is able to guard what I have entrusted to Him until that day. He entrusted His Word to me, and I have entrusted my service to Him. And then he says to Timothy in verse 13, "'Retain the standard of sound words which you have heard from me. In the faith and love which are in Christ Jesus, guard through the Holy Spirit who dwells in us the treasure which has been entrusted to you.'" I mean, it's inescapable that the responsibility of anyone in ministry can only be fulfilled when there is faithfulness to the person of Christ in the life and faithfulness to Scripture in the ministry. Now with that introduction from those first two verses, let's start at verse 3, and we'll just pick up where we left off last time. – we'll say four for today, and I'll combine the last two. …
