… we have church discipline, but it is still a serious sin. We read in 2 Timothy, understand this, that in the last days there will come times of difficulty for people will be lovers of self, lovers of money, proud, arrogant, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, heartless, unappeasable, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not loving good, treacherous, reckless, swollen with conceit, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God. That is quite a list to describe what some people will be like. Unholy, heartless, brutal, lovers of pleasure, reckless, treacherous, and right in the middle, disobedient to their parents. Brutal, despisers of good. They hate good. Traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God. Here's the kick. Having a form of godliness but denying its power from such people turn away. They look like believers but when you're not looking at them that's who they really are. And then there's a quote. I don't know if this is up in the... There it is. Okay, good. But one of the paramount teachings of false prophets will be that of mocking. Number one, the return of Jesus Christ both for his church as well as number two his second coming to the nation of Israel to the Jewish people. Listen, these are the things we're going to be looking at tonight. Don't be a mocker. Well, you know, I know you go to a church or you're the pastor that says Jesus is coming back. …
