For in Him all things were created, things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities. All things were created through Him and for Him.For by him all things were created in the heavens and on the earth, visible things and invisible things, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things have been created through him and for him.For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:for in him were all things created, in the heavens and upon the earth, things visible and things invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers; all things have been created through him, and unto him;

Into The Dark Realm – Part 2
Jack Hibbs, 2026-08-26

… Yeah, for good reason. Verse 16, for by him all things were created. that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. Yikes, here's where we're going tonight. Jesus Christ is the one who created invisible spiritual entities. Jesus is the creator of the angelic realm. And the next few weeks, we'll get into the origins of demons. It's different. It's different. That's a result of something. Jesus created angels. And the Bible talks of this. Visible and invisible are the thrones, dominions, their principalities, their powers. All things were created through him and for him. And he is before all things. And in him, all things consist. Remarkable. no scientific individual has yet to come to being able to answer the end of verse 17. By Jesus Christ, who spoke the word of God in existence, somebody might say, well, that's religion. Hang on a second. According to the Bible, all things consist because of him. What does that mean? …

Dave Baxter | Only Son, Our Lord
Dave Baxter, 2026-03-30

… his eternal person. He is the Lord. He is before all things. Second, all things are made through him. Colossians 1.16, Hebrews 1.2, John 1.3. All things were made through him, including us, and shall what was made say anything back to the one who made it? Romans 9. No, he is the maker of all things, and that makes him the master of all things. Over all things, he is the Lord. All things are made through him. He sustains all things. Colossians 1.17, Hebrews 1.3. Not only did he make all things, but he actively holds it all together. He upholds the universe by the word of his power. He created and he continues. If he were to withdraw his actively sustaining, life-giving, molecule-securing power for even one millisecond, then everything that exists would cease to be. Are you thinking about what you have to do tomorrow? And it's okay if you are. Are you thinking about tomorrow? Are you thinking about what's at work? Perhaps a doctor's appointment, a meeting? …

… is the same reset that she got in touch with on that day. And it's found in Colossians chapter 1 verse 16. This whole text beginning in verse 15 and down is one of the great texts about Jesus and all of Scripture. But it says in verse 16, For in him, and the him here is Jesus, all things were created, things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities, all things, all of them, that includes me and you, have been created through him. Some translations, I think, say more accurately, by him and for him. For in Jesus all things were created and all things have been created by Jesus and for Jesus. And that is your original factory setting. You have been created by God and created for God. and when you go through the instructions and get back to the original factory setting that you came out of the womb with, that's your setting, created by God and created for God. …

… Creation reveals the power of Jesus. The Apostle Paul wrote these words in Colossians chapter 1 and verse 16. For by him all things were created that are in heaven and on the earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities, all things were created through him and for him. Well, that's a powerful paragraph, isn't it? Deserves to be underlined in every Bible. Let's take it phrase by phrase and unpack it. Paul says, by him, not by them, not by angelic committee, not by accident, but by him, him all things were created. All things. Dinosaurs, tumbleweeds, oil, clouds. He is the genius behind every detail of our existence. Lightning bolts, galaxies, everything is his idea and made by his hand. This includes things that are visible and includes things that are invisible. Visible like minnows, invisible, like angels, the visible town of Paradise, Texas, population 420, the invisible realm of paradise in heaven. Everything physical and spiritual deserves to be stamped with the phrase, made by Jesus Christ. And this includes thrones and dominions and rulers and authorities. All people who have either by choice or by election have been placed over someone else. All authorities from spiritual hierarchies in the unseen world to the recognizable rulers and countries and counties. It's all Jesus. …

Creation Sings Through Human Lips
Tony Reinke, 2025-08-23

… that's why it exists he made all things for himself as the apostle paul says this so well for by him all things were created in heaven and earth visible and invisible whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities all things were created through him and what for him that's right your bible people you know how that ends for him he made it for himself from the giant blazing heart of our galaxy down to the dancing electrons that we can't see. He made all of it for himself. That's why John Calvin can make the bold assertion that the whole order of nature is subverted and overthrown if the same God who is the beginning of all things is not also its purpose. the entire structure and coherence of everything that God made exists because God made it for himself and by himself. If that's not true, it all falls apart. there's zero rationale for a creation to exist other than to say i did not make myself that's why the creation exists you want to ask where i came from no one has an answer theories no answer and if that's true then we ask okay so how is god the end of creation it's not automatic and psalm 148 is teaching us how this all works so plea number two human listen to the sermon of the silent majesty of creation listen to the sermon of the silent majesty of creation the heavens are preaching a sermon to us listen how psalm 19 puts it with it a little bit weird it first says the heavens declare the glory …

The Book of Genesis (Part 1)
Francis Chan, 2017-01-06

Think about the gap between him and you. In Colossians 1, verse 16, it says that all things were created by him and for him. Everything that was made was made for him. That's huge. There's a massive difference between being an accident, a random accident, and being created for someone. That means 2017, I'm not just this being who just randomly showed up here and happens to exist at this time. He says, no, you were actually made for me, for this creator. So in Genesis, we read this creation account of this amazing being. That's why I go, what else could we be doing right now that is more important than reading about the one who made us? Seriously, think about this year. What greater thing, what do you have to do that is more important than understanding the one who made you? That's why we're reading through the Bible. and God God creates in chapter one but the amazing thing is when he creates man I mean all of it's amazing everything he created he says it's good it's good but then he creates man he says this is really good this is very good because God says in a in verse 26 that he's going to make man in his image there was something different that separated us from the animals the plants the sun the moon and stars, somehow he was going to make this creation that was in his image, in his likeness. …
