… We got it. Colossians chapter 2, verse 9 says, For in him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily, Jesus. Jesus. John chapter 1, verse 1 begins there. In the beginning, that is of the physical universe, was the Word. In other words, the Word of God preceded the beginning. And the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through him, and without him nothing was made that was made. Wow. Verse 14. And the Word of God became flesh and dwelt among us. And we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten, the only glorified of God the Father, full of grace and truth. That's your Jesus. That's the one that we worship. That is the Lord our God. I was in somewhat of a soft debate the other day regarding Islam and Christianity, and it was fun. But one of the things was this. Regarding Bible prophecy, there's no hope for the Muslim that Muhammad's going to return. …
… in the New Testament church, these early Christians, Colossians 2, verse 9 said, we believe in Christ there is all wisdom and all knowledge. So he can be entrusted with everything in our lives. In your notes there, He is master of every domain in our lives. He is the master in every domain in our lives. And this is where the kingdom of God and the mission of God to make disciples of all nations will begin to take hold when people of all kinds of different occupations in this room and all kinds of different family situations and social situations and economic situations begin to let Jesus be king at the center of every domain in our lives. What I'm saying is, Ephesians, Colossians, John, everywhere in the New Testament says that Christians by definition already have Christ dwelling in them. They already have the fullness of God in them. And so what we're faced with is that Paul is praying for things that are already true. So how do we explain that? And the only way to explain it is this. It's one thing to have a bank account. It's another thing to draw on it. There's a big difference. Now, you know, abstractly, you might say from one perspective, if somebody puts $10 million in your bank account, then at that very moment, what are you worth? You're worth $10 million. dollars and see from from a certain point of view you are rich you're rich you'll be written up in some magazine as somebody in this in this category you'll be in some some census uh uh you know you'll be a statistic in a census uh uh track but the point is you are rich by definition from one point of view you've got it but it's one thing to have it it's another thing to draw on it to draw on it means that you're actually appropriating it and it means that it's actually having an impact on …
