And he will confirm a covenant with many for one week, but in the middle of the week he will put an end to sacrifice and offering. And on the wing of the temple will come the abomination that causes desolation, until the decreed destruction is poured out upon him.”He will make a firm covenant with many for one week. In the middle of the week he will cause the sacrifice and the offering to cease. On the wing of abominations will come one who makes desolate; and even to the decreed full end, wrath will be poured out on the desolate.”And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate. And he shall make a firm covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease; and upon the wing of abominations shall come one that maketh desolate; and even unto the full end, and that determined, shall wrath be poured out upon the desolate.

… the anointed one Daniel chapter 9 verses 24 to 27 says you want to know how you identify Israel's Messiah yes tell us how well the big deal is he's going to be cut off for committing a capital offense and for that he dies what capital offense did Jesus commit You have to think this through. He's sinless. So how does this apply to him? Ah, why did they kill him? Why did they coerce? Listen, the whole trial, all the trials that went on that night, all of those trials were illegal. The Jews could not hold trial at night. It's against the law. And they are pressuring the Romans to go along with their nefarious plot. Doesn't the Bible say that they hired liars to testify against Jesus? What was going on? they this god is so amazing did not the bible tell us from old to new testament that the messiah would die for our sins think of isaiah 53 so how's the messiah going to die for our sins he's going to die for our sins but what about those who who rejected him did god make them reject him did god Did God condemn them so that they had to reject Jesus? …
… Israel. He will sign a covenant with Israel, a seven-year covenant, and then he will break the covenant. In Daniel chapter 9, it says he will make a covenant with many for one week, one seven-year period. In the middle of the week, at the three and a half year mark, he will put an end to sacrifice and offering, and on the wing of desolation, he will bring an abomination. Daniel called, referred to this as the abomination of desolation. It is the ultimate falling away, the ultimate departure, the ultimate apostasy, because it is a man, a very evil man, claiming that he is God, sitting in the temple at Jerusalem, demanding to be worshiped as God. now something about the abomination of desolation the Jewish people ever since Daniel the prophet mentioned abomination of desolation saw a fulfillment of that abomination of desolation in their history which is to us now past tense there was a man in Jewish history who was an enemy of the Jews he was a Seleucid king He was Antiochus IV, or also called Antiochus Epiphanes. …
… this? It's amazing. The church has continued on the evangelistic work, but that's what the tribulation is for. That's what Daniel chapter 9 verses 24 to 27 is for. The tribulation period, look at it this way. It's the opportunity for the Jews to preach the gospel to the ends of the earth like they should have 2,000 years ago, but God nowhere says he replaces them. Nowhere. Nowhere. In fact, the book of Revelation does say, in the book of Revelation, letters to the seven churches, Jesus says that, and he condemns them who say they are Jews and are not, but are of the synagogue of Satan. there are people who are saying, we're the new Jews. The church has taken the place. Well, you're not a Jew. No, but we've taken the place of the Jew. Interesting. Jesus said, watch out for those who say they're Jews and are not. Wow. Yeah, when anybody brings it up, Romans 9, 10, 11. You can't read chapter 9 without reading 10 and 11. …
… 1,260-day period. That's found in Daniel 9, verse 27. By the way, folks, if you care about Bible prophecy, Daniel 9 is considered the holy of holies of Bible prophecy. If you miss Daniel chapter 9, you'll miss the entire prophetic scene. Number 13, he opposes and resists the most high God, 2 Thessalonians 2 verse 4. Number 14, he will speak marvelous things against the God of gods, Daniel 11 verse 36. Number 15, he will exalt himself above all that is called God, 2 Thessalonians 2 verse 4 again, same verse, and for the third time, he will sit in the temple of God. That means Jerusalem's gonna have a rebuilt temple someday. 2 Thessalonians 2, verse four. Number 17, he will claim to be God or an incarnation of God. 2 Thessalonians 2, four. Clearly, you need to read 2 Thessalonians 2, verse four. He will take away the daily sacrifices from the temple. Daniel 11, 32. By the way, Jesus said the exact same thing. Listen to this. …
… for a cry for prosperity and for peace in Daniel chapter 9 verse 27 the Bible says that then he shall confirm a covenant with many for one week the word translates out to seven years but in the middle of the week what's the middle of seven? three and a half three and a half in the Bible is 1260 days or a time times and a dividing of time he shall bring an end to sacrifice and offering. Excuse me, what? The Antichrist? Yep. He's going to stop in, no doubt it's Israel, it's Jerusalem because we know the prophecies to Daniel and God says to Daniel, here's the vision regarding your people and your holy city. Daniel was a Jew. and this guy is going to say no more sacrifices which is interesting to think it's bizarre isn't it to think that the that the jews are in some way shape or form according to the bible they're going to somehow reinstitute animal sacrifice think of that that's a big deal for jews today because they have to offer up innocent blood of an animal for for their sins and they haven't been able to do that for 2,000 years. And they dance around it. They tell you all kinds of things about, well, we don't do blood anymore. We do good works. Yeah, that's great. Glad. Keep it up. …
When they say peace and safety, what does that mean? Well, in Daniel chapter 9, verse 27, we are told that there is a period of seven years reserved in the future, at which time a man, a leader, the man of sin, will make a covenant of peace, a seven-year covenant. And people will go, finally there's peace, especially peace in the Middle East. finally we've settled into and figured this thing out when they say peace and safety he makes a seven-year contract he breaks it we are told in the middle of that seven-year period that one week of years that seven-year period at a three and a half year mark is the abomination of desolation a desecration of the Jewish temple and all hell will break loose at that point of time. And the last three and a half years of that seven year tribulation is known as the day of the Lord or the great tribulation period. It is coming upon the earth. Now back to our text just notice the phraseology. It's going to come on them as labor pains upon a pregnant woman. …
