For if you remain silent at this time, relief and deliverance for the Jews will arise from another place, but you and your father’s house will perish. And who knows if perhaps you have come to the kingdom for such a time as this?”For if you remain silent now, then relief and deliverance will come to the Jews from another place, but you and your father’s house will perish. Who knows if you haven’t come to the kingdom for such a time as this?”For if thou altogether holdest thy peace at this time, then shall there enlargement and deliverance arise to the Jews from another place; but thou and thy father’s house shall be destroyed: and who knoweth whether thou art come to the kingdom for such a time as this? For if thou altogether holdest thy peace at this time, then will relief and deliverance arise to the Jews from another place, but thou and thy father’s house will perish: and who knoweth whether thou art not come to the kingdom for such a time as this?

… do not think that in the king's palace you will escape any more than all the other Jews. For if you keep silent at this time, relief and deliverance will rise for the Jews from another place, but you and your father's family will perish. Who knows? Perhaps you have come to royal dignity for just such a time as this. then Esther said in reply to Mordecai go gather all the Jews to be found in Susa and hold a fast on my behalf and neither eat nor drink for three days night and day I and my maids will also fast as you do after that I will go to the king though it is against the law and if I perish I perish Mordecai then went away and did everything as Esther had ordered him. This is the word of God. For you, the people of God, thanks be to God. So Queen Esther faces a dilemma. What am I supposed to do? My cousin wants me to act. …
… Listen, when God prompts you, for such a time as this, make the call. For such a time as this, start the whatever it is. For such a time as this, apologize and ask for forgiveness. For such a time as this, reach out to the person who doesn't know you. For such a time as this, you're not gonna feel ready when God calls you to do it. And you're gonna have a choice. Stay, stay safe, stay silent, stay still, or simply take the next step. One step. I'll go do it. I'll go put myself before the king. If I die, I die. If he extends the scepter, I'll live. This is what God put on my heart. I have to take the next step. And this message is so heavy on my heart because so many of you right now, you're stuck. Like you love God and you're just stuck. and the reason why so many people are stuck is this. While you're waiting for clarity, God's waiting for trust. …
… sin? Eli didn't do anything wrong. His sons did, and he didn't stop them. He was silent. Mordecai tells Esther there's a mandate from the government to kill Jews if you remain silent at this time deliverance for the Jews will arise from another place but you and your father's family will perish here's one numbers 20 Moses and Aaron are called to the door of the tabernacle and the Lord spake to Moses gather the assembly thou and Aaron speak to the rock and it shall give forth water. Well, they gathered the assembly and Moses lifted up his hand and with his rod, he smote the rock twice and water came out abundantly. End of the chapter, the Lord spake to Moses, Aaron will not enter the land because both of you rebelled against my command at the waters of Meribah. It's like both? We just read the chapter. Aaron did not say a word the entire chapter. It's like, yeah, that's just it. He was at the door of the tabernacle. He heard God tell Moses, speak to the rock. When Moses lifted up the rod the first time and hit the rock, it probably took Aaron by surprise. When Moses lifted up the rod the second time, Aaron knew what was coming and he did not protest. He was silent. And in that instant, Aaron was guilty. Moses' was a sin of commission. Aaron's was a sin of omission. Leviticus 5, a person sins because he did not speak up, even though he was an eyewitness to a case or knew what happened. Anyone who failed to testify …
Do not think in your heart that you will escape in the king's palace any more than all the Jews. For if you remain completely silent at this time, relief and deliverance will arise for the Jews from another place. But you and your father's house will perish. Pause on that sentence just a moment. you're not going to escape even if you're in the palace god's going to deliver the jewish people with or without you that's that's what he's saying if you remain completely silent relief and deliverance will arise for the jews from another place. Mordecai knew the Abrahamic covenant and he believed in the Abrahamic covenant to the extent that he says, look, this isn't going to happen. Deliverance is going to, is going to come because God's redemptive plan requires the existence and continuance of a nation. now God had promised Abraham in Isaac, your seed will be called, right? He said that in Isaac, your seed will be called. You're going to have, you're going to be the father of a multitude through Isaac. God made the promise. Isaac was born. And then God said, Abraham, take now your son, your only son, Isaac, whom you love and go into that mountain and kill him. …
… It's about time for us to help other people believe in the gospel. Esther says, Esther 4.14, this is Mordecai speaking, words to Esther. If you remain completely silent, if you don't open up your mouth, honey, relief and deliverance will arise for the Jews from another place. But you and your father's house will perish. And then here's the big thought. I want you to hear this from God to you. Who knows whether you have come into the kingdom for such a time as this. It's about time for you to share your faith, to share your faith, to take the faith that has changed your life, that changed your soul, and to do what you can to share it with other people around you. Now, that's not like a big revolution. Some of you may have unclicked your pen. OK, got it. Yeah, I know I need to do that. Yeah, totally. like, oh, wow, I'm supposed to tell people about Jesus. Let me write that down here. …
… Thank you, Lord Jesus us. Esther chapter 4 verses 12 through 14. I'll read it again because we got caught up a little bit. Verse 12 reads, when Esther's words were reported to Mordecai, he sent back this answer. Do not think that because you were in the king's house, you alone and all the Jews will, excuse me, you alone of all the Jews will escape. For if you remain silent at this time, relief and deliverance for the Jews will arise from another place, but you and your father's family will perish. And who knows, but that you have come to your royal position for such a time as this. With the remaining minutes that I have this morning, I want to speak simply from this subject, anointed for authenticity. Anointed for authenticity. This book of Esther is a telling, a narrative of an intricate and a powerful story. It's about a Hebrew woman named Hadassah, also referred to as Esther, and she has a unique assignment for her life, for the lives of God's people. And so this book, this narrative begins in chapter one at a party, and there's Queen Vashti of Susa, who is the wife of King Xerxes, and she is summoned into the king's royal court. Very simply, what he wanted her to do was to come in wearing her crown. Scholars would contend that maybe that meant to be in the nude or to expose herself as to only wear her crown because King Xerxes says that she was beautiful …
When Esther's words were reported to Mordecai, he sent back this answer to her. Do not think that because you are in the king's house, you alone of all the Jews will escape. For if you remain silent at this time, relief and deliverance for the Jews will arise from another place. But you and your father's family will perish. And who knows, but that you've come to your royal position for such a time as this. If you would now hear the last verse of the book of Esther in chapter 10, verse 3. Mordecai, the Jew, was second in rank to King Xerxes, preeminent among the Jews, and held high in esteem by his many fellow Jews because he worked for the good of his people and spoke up for the welfare of all the Jews. You know, I think I can say this without fear of contradiction, that 2020 has been a rough year. As a matter of fact, for many of us, we can say this is probably the roughest year we've ever experienced. This is not the year we dreamed about and hoped for and prayed for on New Year's Eve. This has been a year of unexpected rough realities. …
