Did we not say to you in Egypt, ‘Leave us alone so that we may serve the Egyptians’? For it would have been better for us to serve the Egyptians than to die in the wilderness.”Isn’t this the word that we spoke to you in Egypt, saying, ‘Leave us alone, that we may serve the Egyptians’? For it would have been better for us to serve the Egyptians than to die in the wilderness.”Is not this the word that we did tell thee in Egypt, saying, Let us alone, that we may serve the Egyptians? For it had been better for us to serve the Egyptians, than that we should die in the wilderness. Is not this the word that we spake unto thee in Egypt, saying, Let us alone, that we may serve the Egyptians? Taken For Granted
Jamal Bryant, 2026-08-23 · Scripture reading

… What have you done to us by bringing us out of Egypt? Didn't we say to you in Egypt, leave us alone? Let us serve the Egyptians. It would have been better for us to serve the Egyptians than to die in the desert. You may be seated in the presence of the Lord. As Pharaoh approached the Israelites, they looked up and there were the Egyptians marching after them. They were terrified and they cried out to the Lord. They said to Moses, was it because there were no graves in Egypt, you brought us to die in the desert? What have you done to us by bringing us out of Egypt? I want to preach today using as a subject, I'm tired of being taken for granted. I'm tired of being taken for granted. Elbow your neighbor, tell him, I got to hear this. Did you know that we blink on average 20 times a minute? That means with all of the elements, all of the particles, all of the dust that is in the environment, God is giving your eyes protection. …

You Can Change The End
Steven Furtick, 2026-04-27

… You've been through a lot of things, and you'll get through this too, but I want to get much more specific today. I'm going to share from Exodus chapter 14, verses 10 through 16, and then one more verse as well. I'll give you the title in just a moment, but read with me here. The people of God are looking forward to a brand new beginning. God has sent them a deliverer named Moses, he has unleashed ten plagues on Pharaoh and the Egyptian households. God's people are no sooner out of Egypt than Egypt starts trying to get back into them. I have found out that it's one thing for you to let Pharaoh go. It's another thing for Pharaoh to let you go. Sometimes Pharaoh lets you go, and you still don't let him go. Sometimes God sets you free from something, but it has an effect in your life. You're thinking, man, I thought I was starting over. I thought this was a fresh beginning for me. …

Rev. Dr. Otis Moss III | "Disciplines of the Spirit" 6PM 02/13/26
Otis Moss III, 2026-02-15 · Scripture reading

… In great fear, in great fear, the Israelites cried out to the Lord. They said to Moses, was it because there were no graves in Egypt that you have taken us away to die in the wilderness? What have you done to us, bringing us out of Egypt? Is this not the very thing we told you in Egypt? Let us alone so that we can serve the Egyptians. Another translation, let us alone so we can stay servants. Let us alone so that we can stay slaves. For it would have been better for us to serve the Egyptians than to die in the wilderness. But Moses said to the people, do not be afraid. Stand firm and see the deliverance that the Lord will accomplish for you today. For the Egyptians whom you see today, you will never see again. The Lord will fight for you. And you have to only keep still. Then the Lord said to Moses, why do you cry out to me? Tell the Israelites to go forward. …

Communion Service on Psalm 103
Thomas G. Long, 2012-04-09 · Scripture reading

The 103rd Psalm. Bless the Lord, O my soul, and all that is within me, bless his holy name. Bless the Lord, O my soul, and do not forget all his benefits. who forgives all your iniquity, who heals all your diseases, who redeems your life from the pit, who crowns you with steadfast love and mercy, who satisfies you with good as long as you live so that your youth is renewed like the eagles. The Lord works vindication and justice for all who are oppressed. He made known his ways to Moses, his acts to the people of Israel, The Lord is merciful and gracious, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love. He will not always accuse, nor will he keep his anger forever. He does not deal with us according to our sins, nor repay us according to our iniquities. For as the heavens are high above the earth, so great is his steadfast love toward those who fear him. As far as the east is from the west, so far he removes our transgressions from us. …
