Fear That Sings and Dances
David Mathis, 2026-08-01

… and there was the cloud and the darkness and it lit up the night without one coming near the other all night. Then Moses stretched out his hand over the sea and the Lord drove back the sea by a strong east wind all night and made the sea dry land and the waters were divided and the people of Israel went into the midst of the sea on dry ground. the waters being a wall to them on their right and on their left. The Egyptians pursued and went in after them into the midst of the sea, all Pharaoh's horses, his chariots and his horsemen. And in the morning watch, the Lord in the pillar of fire and of cloud looked down on the Egyptian forces and threw them into a panic, clogging their chariot wheels so that they drove heavily. And the Egyptians said, let us flee from before Israel for the Lord fights for them against the Egyptians. So God manifest in this pillar of fire. …

You Can Change The End
Steven Furtick, 2026-04-27

… hand over the sea to divide the water so that the Israelites can go through the sea on dry ground. Now drop down, please, to verse 21 and 22. Then Moses stretched out his hand over the sea, And all that night the Lord drove back the sea with a strong east wind and turned it into dry land. The waters were divided, and the Israelites went through the sea on dry ground with the wall of water on their right and on their left. What a story. One more verse. Romans chapter 8, verse 31. You're going to like this one. You're going to be tempted to get a tattoo of this one. Ask your parents first, though. You might want to set your alarm to 8.31 a.m. tomorrow morning so you can remember this one when the alarm goes off. See what you think about this verse. What then shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us. Who can be against us? I don't know where you're at in this story. …

… and light to the other side, so neither went near the other all night long. Then Moses stretched out his hand over the sea, and all that night the Lord drove the sea back. You see it? Moses is doing this, and God is doing this, and Moses is doing this, and God is doing this, and Moses is… God has you covered in this season of your life. The waters were divided, and the Israelites went through the sea on dry ground, with a wall of water on their right and on their left. The Egyptians pursued them, and all Pharaohs, horses, and chariots, and horsemen followed them into the sea. During the last watch of the night, the Lord looked down from the pillar of fire and cloud at the Egyptian army and threw it into confusion. He jammed the wheels of their chariots so that they had difficulty driving. The Egyptians, the enemies, the forces that came to conspire against the people of God said, Let's get away from the Israelites. The Lord is fighting for them against Egypt. Then the Lord said to Moses, Watch this. Stretch out your hand over the sea so that the waters may flow back over the Egyptians and their chariots and horsemen. Moses stretched out his hand over the sea, and at daybreak the sea went back to its place. The Egyptians were fleeing toward it, and the Lord swept them into the sea. The water flowed back and covered the chariots and the horsemen, the entire army of Pharaoh that had followed the Israelites into the sea. …

The Thread of Grace - Louie Giglio
Louie Giglio, 2024-12-08

Wow. Moses stretched out his hand over the sea, and the Lord caused the sea to go back by a strong east wind all that night and made the sea into dry land, and the waters were divided. God, by grace, delivered his people from the sea. Praise God. When you leave Exodus, you get into some of our favorite books. Leviticus Numbers and Leviticus is all about the tabernacle. Exodus is as well. where God was going to meet with man. In it was the Holy of Holies. And in it was the Ark of the Covenant. The second Ark has arrived. And in this Holy of Holies, only one person could go to the high priest on one day a year. But as they were constructing this, it's interesting to note that this thread of grace is there. Notice what it says in Exodus 28. Make the robe of the ephah. This is what the priests were going to wear, entirely of blue cloth, with an opening for the head in its center. …
