… what has God shown you where do you live with your eyes closed and and I need you to see this because God's trying to take us as a church beyond where we are right now look at Exodus chapter 25 verse 8 this is God talking to Moses he says I want you to have the people of Israel build me a holy sanctuary look at the reason why so I can live among them or let me say it a different way so I can sit in their situation. I need you to see this very clearly. Up until this point, God only talked to Moses. Like up until here, he only talked to Moses when he made a temp on the top of the mountain and Moses would get instructions and then he would go down and tell the people. But God says, I don't want my people to have to reach me through anybody no more. I want to be able to talk to them for myself. … And listen to the language God uses. He says in Exodus 25, verse eight, and let them make me a sanctuary that I may what? Dwell in their midst. You'll never guess what Hebrew word that is. Shekan. It's the same word that's used in Genesis chapter three, verse 24. And then God says, so I'm going to dwell with you in this sanctuary, this tabernacle. And then he says, exactly as I show you concerning the pattern of the tabernacle, this place where my presence is going to dwell in your midst and all of its furniture, so you shall make it. And you know, what's fascinating is that when you start looking at what this tabernacle looks like, it looks a lot like the Garden of Eden in Genesis 1 and 2. It's like a little Eden. And I wish I had time to turn to all these places with you, but I don't. So I'll just give you a list of parallels between Eden and the tabernacle. You can go back to and look at later if you want. …

… in the middle of his people. And after God rescues them from slavery in Egypt and gives them his law, the Ten Commandments, God says in Exodus 25 verse 8, let them make me a sanctuary that I may dwell in their midst. Same word, Shekin, that we saw in Genesis chapter 3, verse 24, at the entrance to Eden. And that's what leads into God giving specific instructions. I'm going to show you the pattern for the tabernacle, all its furniture, so you'll make it exactly how I said to make it. And then we have all these specifications about the tabernacle, this place where God will dwell among his people. And what's interesting is when you look at how the tabernacle is described, it looks a lot like Eden. And I wish I had time to turn all these places with you. I don't. So I'll just give you a list of parallels between Eden and the tabernacle. And you can go back and look later if you like. So first, in Genesis 1, seven times we read, and God said. We see seven specific creative acts. And after the seventh time, we read about God resting on the Sabbath. …
