… And Moses hid his face, for he was afraid to look upon God. And the Lord said, I have surely seen the oppression of my people who are in Egypt, and have heard their cry because of their taskmasters, for I know their sorrows. So I have come down to deliver them out of the hand of the Egyptians and to bring them up from that land to a good and large land, to a land flowing with milk and honey, to the place of the Canaanites and the Hittites and the Amorites and the Perizzites and the Hivites and the Jebusites. Now, therefore, behold, the cry of the children of Israel has come to me, and I have also seen the oppression with which the Egyptians oppressed them. Come now, therefore, and I will send you to Pharaoh, that you may bring my people, the children of Israel, out of Egypt. But Moses said to God, Who am I that I should go to Pharaoh, and that I should bring the children of Israel out of Egypt? …

… This is what he said to Moses. The Lord said, I've indeed seen the misery of my people in Egypt. I have heard them crying out because of their slave drivers. Now just notice all the eyes here. The Lord is very focused on what he's doing here. I have indeed seen. I have heard them crying out. I am concerned about the fact that I can't circle things. They're suffering. I have come down to rescue them from the hand of the Egyptians and bring them up out of that land into a, check it out, into a good and spacious land. A land flowing, Crowder. With milk and honey. I don't know. I'm trying my best. I'm holding the pen different ways. There we go. I think it's me. A land flowing with milk and honey. Now, when I said that today, nobody went, what? Flowing with milk and honey? I'm lactose intolerant. Sounds awesome, but do they have oat milk? Almond milk? What kind of milk they have. …

This May Be Plan C

… and then the covering. Those three things I want to talk to you about today. They cried out to God. It says in Exodus 3, verse 7. This is not for the screen, but just listen to it real quick. When the Lord appeared to Moses, he said, I've come down because I'm concerned about my people. I have seen the misery of my people in Egypt. I have heard them crying out. I have devices all over my house that listen to me. I know they listen to me because I talk about a restaurant and it shows up on my phone without being typed in. I'm thankful that the Lord listens to me as well and that he puts things in my path in response to the prayers I prayed. Have you ever noticed that God will put something in your path in response to the prayer you prayed? God won't always pick you up and carry you where you need to go, but he'll put something in your path. I believe for somebody right now, God put this message in your algorithm because he's putting something in your path. You almost tripped over this video, didn't you? You didn't even want to see a 45-year-old middle-aged man in a black hoodie with a Bible open. You were looking for something much more entertaining, but God put something in your path because he knows about the things you're going through, and he wanted you to ask accidentally trip over this video. It's not the algorithm. It's the anointing of the God who loves …

Move It To The Middle

I believe there are many of us, maybe not all of us, who would find ourselves in a moment like that. And so today I want to continue that from Exodus chapter 3, verses 1 through 11. and all the bible school students already know who we're talking about today somebody say moses moses we grew up singing a song in church called pharaoh pharaoh oh baby let my people go and then if you really got into it you would go uh yeah yeah yeah yeah it was to the tune of louie louie i don't want to get a copyright strike on youtube so i won't sing it but we would do that Pharaoh, Pharaoh, oh baby, let my people go. And then everybody would go, uh. And a quick story, one time I was 17 years old, just getting started in ministry. And I was leading that for the youth. And one of the parents was really uptight and she walked in and she saw how I had all the kids going, uh. And she said, don't do that again. That's not a holy, that's not a holy gesture. …

The Book of Exodus (Part 1)
Francis Chan, 2017-01-20

… amazing moment where God goes after Moses and reveals himself to him. But then if you look at verse 7, it says, the Lord said, I have surely seen the affliction of my people who are in Egypt and have heard their cry because of their taskmasters. I know their sufferings and I have come down to deliver them out of the hand of the Egyptians and to bring them up out of that land to a good and broad land, a land flowing with milk and honey to the place. You know, so here God is saying, look, I'm aware. I'm there. I see it. I notice this. And a thing I want to point out, because this jumped out to me this time reading through the Bible more than ever, is the character of God and how, you know, when I was younger, I used to think, okay, there's the Old Testament stories and then God changes and then here's the New Testament. Oh, thank God for the New Testament. …
