… both are evidence historically, even continue today. Yet look at Galatians 3.28. There is no difference between man or woman, slave or free, Jew or Greek, all are equal in Jesus Christ. And then Philemon 6, where Paul sends a slave, rightfully so, back to his master, but then he says, you are no longer master to slave, you are now brothers in Christ, redefines the whole relationship between a slave and a master as brothers in Christ. And that's why it has been Christians who are at the forefront of eradicating slavery. Wilberforce and the Clapham sect in Britain there in the 1700s were able to do it. Why? Because of those verses, because of the Bible, because of Jesus Christ and his example. And immigration, here's the last question you can ask Muslims and I'll end with this. If Islam is so great and Muslims are in these countries and they're refugees because of violence and that's why they become a refugee why aren't they going to other Muslim countries? …

What's Your Excuse?
Pastor Taylor Bronisz, 2026-07-08

… in the kingdom of God. It's exactly what Paul says in Galatians 3.28 where he says this, there is neither Jew nor Greek. There is neither slave nor free. There is neither male nor female for you are all one in Christ Jesus. You are all one. So when we read that phrase, no longer as a slave. I truly believe that Paul is implying, though not saying explicitly, that he expects Philemon to grant freedom to Onesimus. I believe that that's what Paul is saying. None of us in this room, hopefully, are slaveholders. If you are, then boy, do you and I need to have a conversation when I'm done. But I'm going to assume, for sake of argument, that no one here as a slaveholder. Praise God. I believe that when we forgive somebody, that it is like granting them freedom. When we choose to forgive somebody, it is granting them freedom because if I sin against you, yes, I can ask forgiveness from God, but if I want this relationship to be restored, I have to go to you and I have to ask forgiveness. I can't go to your friend. I can't go to your coworker. I have to go to you. If somebody breaks into your house and they take your TV, they take your air fryer, and then they feel really bad about it, and they say, pastor, can you forgive me? I'll be like, no, I can't. You need to go back to them. I can't do that. I can't …

The Daughters of Zelophehad
Skip Heitzig, 2026-03-01

And it's sort of summed up by Paul, right? In Galatians chapter 3, when Paul said, there is neither Jew nor Greek. There is neither slave nor free. There is neither male nor female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus. So the crisis sets up the story. Now the second phase is the courage of these women. So go back to verse three, and here's their spiel to Moses. quote, our father died in the wilderness. But they quickly say, but he was not in the company of those who gathered together against the Lord in the company with Korah, but he died in his own sin and he had no sons. Why should the name of our father be removed from among his family because he had no son? Give us a possession among our father's brothers. These five gals approach Moses and Eleazar the priest and the leadership of Israel to deal with a problem. And they come to the entrance of the tabernacle. You remember the tabernacle, that sacred place. …

… Not spiritual relationships. In Christ, Galatians 3.28, there's neither bond nor free, right? In the kingdom, those things don't even exist. There's neither male nor female, June or Greek, bond or free. So we're simply talking about slave relationships. Another great illustration of a good one was the illustration of the book of Philemon. Philemon had a slave by the name of Onesimus. Onesimus ran away. That was a crime that would be punishable by one of two things. Put a letter on the head, sort of like Esther Prine in the early American novel, where you You mark somebody fugitivus, an escaped slave, which would then make him a criminal the rest of his life, unable to hide himself. So that was one possibility with a slave that ran away. The other possibility was execution. So Onesimus leaves Philemon, his master, and he takes off to get lost in the crowd at Rome and runs into Paul. And he comes to Christ. And Paul says, you have to go back. …

Marriage Is from Heaven
Adrian Rogers

… Both a man and a woman are equal in their standing before God if they've been saved. Put this verse down, Galatians chapter 3 and verse 28. There is neither Jew nor Greek. There is neither bond nor free. There is neither male nor female, for ye are all one in Christ Jesus. So when our Lord looks at us, he's no respecter of persons. He doesn't say, well, you're of this race or you're that race. You're of this socioeconomic status and you're of that socioeconomic status. You're a male or you're a female and I'm going to divide between you on that basis. He says, oh no, oh no, not in Christ. Friend, in Christ we're all one. Say amen. Every race, every socioeconomic background, each gender, male or female, we are all one in the Lord Jesus Christ. Christ. Now look, the male and the female both bear the image of God. The male and the female are both heirs of the grace of life. The male and the female are both one in the Lord Jesus Christ. Now learn that and learn it well. They are equal before God. But now listen, and listen carefully. While male and female are equal, God has given them different roles. …

Harmony in the Home
Adrian Rogers

… Galatians chapter 3 verse 38 makes that plain. There is neither Jew nor Greek, bond nor free, neither is there male nor female. For ye are all one in Christ Jesus. Now he's not talking about in society. He's not saying that there's to be a blurring of the distinction between the sexes. But he's saying in Christ, male and female, bond and free, we're all one. one. Now, but in spite of that God has made us different. God made us different that He might make us one. And I thank God for the difference. I want us to celebrate the difference today because it's our differences, not our likenesses that bring us together as husband and wife. And how important it is that we be brought together as husband and wife. For the Bible says in Ecclesiastes chapter 4 verse 9, two are better than one. And that is so true. So I want you to think about what I'm going to call the divine design. The divine design. Now God made by design the difference in the sexes. And He did this for purpose. And He tells us what the purpose is. Go on over to Genesis chapter 2 and look if you will at verse 18. Genesis chapter 2 and verse 18. And the Lord God said, It is not good that the man should be alone. Now He had created all of these things and He says, It's good, it's good, it's good, it's good. …
