It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not be encumbered once more by a yoke of slavery.Stand firm therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free, and don’t be entangled again with a yoke of bondage.Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage. For freedom did Christ set us free: stand fast therefore, and be not entangled again in a yoke of bondage.

STANDING POWER | CHAD VEACH
Chad Veach, 2026-08-24

You've got to learn it, but you've got to learn how to fight to stay in the life that God designed for your future. it's worth fighting for. It's the good fight. Galatians 5, verse number one, it is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm then and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery. Don't go back. Don't be burdened again by that old chain, by that old relationship, by that old thinking pact. No, don't be burdened. No, stand firm in the freedom that's in Christ. Write down point number one today. I'm standing because I'm staying. The reason why I'm standing so strong is because I have no plans to leave. I have no plans to go back. I have no plans to be who I used to be. Listen, I may not be where I want to be, but thank God I'm not where I used to be. I'm in the freedom that's, come on everybody, They clap and thank God. …

Thank God Im Free | Chad Veach
Chad Veach, 2026-08-02

… it is not that you be bound or addicted to something. It's that you be free to worship him. Oh, I love this. Galatians chapter 6 verse 1. It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm then and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery. It is for freedom that Christ has set you free. God wants you to be free. It's the plan and the will of God for you not to be bound in that old relationship and in that old bottle and in that old thinking pattern and in that old unforgiveness. No, God wants to set you free. So the first thing the Bible says is for freedom, the Christ has set you free. And I just like that because God wants you to be free. Today, I don't know what your plans are this afternoon, but my 12-year-old son is playing in a baseball tournament in Cooperstown, New York at the Hall of Fame of Baseball. Clap for my guy, Winston, and the Westchester Legends. …

Fear That Sings and Dances
David Mathis, 2026-08-01

… So just as we read right through Galatians 4 into Galatians 5.1, we're gonna go Exodus 14 into 15.1. Thus, the Lord saved Israel that day from the hand of the Egyptians. And Israel saw the Egyptians dead on the seashore. Israel saw the great power that the Lord used against the Egyptians. So, the people feared the Lord. and they believed in the Lord and in his servant Moses. Then Moses and the people of Israel sang this song to the Lord, saying, I will sing to the Lord, for he has triumphed gloriously. The horse and his rider he has thrown into the sea. there are some professing Christians who only seem to know their God as fearsome and I assume there's some in this room this morning meanwhile and far more tragically there are countless unbelievers who do not fear God at all Excellent for這bahplaces amazing bikes Bethlehem Ul проект Pictures While others who should genuinely fear, don't fear. Another concern that I have this morning is so many Christians today who don't ignore God like unbelievers. …

Staying Mentally Strong
Craig Groeschel, 2026-03-08

… to it in many different places. And we're going to look at many of those verses today. In fact, Paul said this in Galatians 5.1. He said, so Christ has truly set us free by the power of Jesus. The truth is Jesus and the truth sets us free. Christ sets us free. And then watch what Paul says. He says, now make sure that you stay free. Make sure you've been set free. Make sure you stay free and don't get tied up again in slavery to the law. Now, the context of this verse, Paul is talking about freedom from the law, but this principle applies to anywhere in any category of life when Christ sets us free. In fact, I wanna show you a very direct and very literal translation of this verse. The English Standard Version is probably the most literal, and it says, for freedom, Christ has set us free. For freedom, Christ has set us free. In the Greek, Paul uses the same root word two times, for freedom and free. …

What Was the Price on That?
Guest speaker, 2026-03-08

… Walk out of the debtor's prison of our past and give thanks. It is as Paul wrote in Galatians 5, verse 1. For freedom Christ has set us free. Stand firm, therefore, and do not submit again to a yoke of slavery. We're free by the payment of the Son, complete and whole, received by the gift of faith. Therefore, we're free by faith to recognize that we've been purchased. Now again, our text reminds us to glorify God through our actions. Imagine you bought a new home and the house is perfect, clean, spotless. Open the front door and see that carpet, beautiful, perfectly clean. Now the question is, do you take your shoes off at the front door? Your shoes are wet, a little muddy. There's even a floor mat by the door where they could stay. Do you take off your shoes? Well, I expect the answer is yes. Of course we take off our shoes at the door. Look at this carpet. Look at the rest of the floors. …

The Secret to the Christian Life
David Platt, 2025-08-13

… In exchange, Jesus has given you his freedom over sin. Galatians 5.1, for freedom Christ has set us free. Galatians 4.7, Christian, you are no longer a slave to sin. You are now a son or daughter of God. Keep going. You have given Jesus your defeat against sin, and Jesus has given you his victory over sin. Romans 7, Paul, who's writing Galatians 2, says, what a wretched man I am in this war with sin. Who will deliver me from this body of death? Thanks be to God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So Christian, don't believe it. Do not believe that you cannot overcome that sin. Christ is in you. Absolutely, you can overcome that sin. And Christian, stop beating yourself up over your sin. Keep going here. you have given Jesus your judgment for sin. He has taken it from you. And in exchange, Jesus has given you his salvation from sin. Romans 8.1, there is now no condemnation for those who are what? In Christ Jesus. Christ is in you. Christ has taken all your judgment upon himself. …
