Guest speaker, 2026-06-24

… you see that word deceive there in your bibles in verse 10 it is the exact same Hebrew word for deceive that is used all the way back in Genesis chapter 3 verse 13 what is Genesis 3 13? Well, that's when Eve is responding to God and says, the Lord God said to the woman, what have you done? And the woman said, the serpent deceived me and I ate. That's Satan's oldest trick is to deceive, to dilute, to lead you astray. Now the question is, how did Satan lead Eve astray? I know you guys are a well-taught bunch and so you know. Genesis chapter 3, verse 1. It says, now the serpent was more cunning than any beast of the field which the Lord God has made. And he said to the woman, has God indeed said? The oldest trick of the Satan, the oldest trick of the enemy, is to cast doubt on the word of God. He says, has God indeed said, you shall not eat of every tree of the garden. Verse 4, the serpent said to the woman, you will surely not die. …

… she gave me fruit of the tree, and I ate. Then the Lord God said to the woman, what is this that you have done? The woman said, the serpent deceived me, and I ate. The Lord God said to the serpent, Because you have done this, Cursed are you above all livestock and above all beasts of the field. On your belly you shall go, and dust you shall eat all the days of your life. I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your offspring and her offspring. He shall bruise your head, and you shall bruise his heel. To the woman, God said, I will surely multiply your pain and childbearing. In pain you shall bring forth children. Your desire shall be for your husband, and he shall rule over you. And to Adam, God said, Because you have listened to the voice of your wife, and have eaten of the tree of which I commanded, you shall not eat of it. Cursed is the ground because of you. …

Chad Veach, 2025-05-04 · Scripture reading

Now the serpent was more crafty than any of the wild animals the Lord God had made. And he said to the woman, did God really say you must not eat from any tree in the garden? And the woman said to the serpent, we may eat fruit from the trees in the garden from Trader Joe's, but God did say you must not eat fruit from the tree that is in the middle of the garden and you must not touch it or you will die. You will not certainly die. The serpent said to the woman, for God knows that when you eat from it, your eyes will be open and you will be like God, knowing good and evil. When the woman saw that the fruit of the tree was good for food and pleasing to the eye and desirable for gaining wisdom, she took some and she ate it. She also gave some to her husband who was with her and he ate it. Then the eyes of both of them were open and they realized they were naked. So they sewed fig leaves together and made coverings for themselves. Then the man and his wife heard the sound of the Lord God as he was walking in the garden in the cool of the day. And they hid from the Lord God among the trees of the garden. But the Lord God called to them, where are you? And he answered, I heard you in the garden and I was …

The Blame Game - Part 1
Charles Stanley · Scripture reading

… And the man and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the Lord God among the trees of the garden. Then the Lord God called to the man and said to him, Where are you? And he said, I heard the sound of thee in the garden, and I was afraid because I was naked, and so I hid myself. And he said, Who told you that you were naked? Have you eaten from the tree of which I commanded you not to eat? And the man said, the woman whom thou gavest to be with me, she gave me from the tree and I ate. And the Lord God said to the woman, what is this you have done? And the woman said, the serpent deceived me and I ate. And the Lord God said to the serpent and he didn't say anything. You know why? Because there wasn't anything to say. He knew exactly where he was and he knew exactly what was going on and what was happening. …
