This Means War - Touré Roberts
Touré Roberts, 2026-06-14 · Scripture reading

wow look at that wow look at that real quick I gotta teach it but look at that God immediately is connecting his dysfunction to his disobedience Thank you. He doesn't even litigate all of the confusion. He's saying there's a one-stop shop for your confusion, and it's disobedience. and your disobedience has opened now a Pandora's box, and more specifically, not just your disobedience, but your disobedience to the word I spoke. then the man said it gets even more dysfunctional then the man said the woman who you gave to be with me now he's blaming the lord he's so dysfunctional he is now accusing god of being dysfunctional it was a bad idea god you giving me that woman was a terrible idea god you ought to be look at how crazy we get how insane we get when we disconnect from the word. And the man said to the woman, the man said, the woman whom you gave to me with me, she gave me of the tree and I ate. …

Where’d You Go?
Guest speaker, 2026-04-26

… And I would imagine that for many of us today, that we're just too busy. And so look at what God does in Genesis 3.9. Remember, by way of introduction, Genesis 3.9. It says, then the Lord God called to Adam. Adam! and said to him, where are you? In other words, God says, where'd you go? Now we could spend all day on Genesis 3, 9 as far as this being an invitation to come back, this being an invitation to repentance, this being an invitation to confession. But my point here is that God initiates the call. Adam and Eve are hiding from God. God is searching for Adam and Eve. There was fellowship that was lost. There was a relationship that was broken. There was intimacy that was once there between God and his people that was now gone. And I wonder if that's the way it is with you this morning. That as you look back over your life, you look back over your Christianity, you recognize that there was a time where you were closer to Christ, where the fire burned just a little bit hotter, and today God might say to you, where'd you go? …

Shame On You
Jamal Bryant, 2025-05-25 · Scripture reading

… And they hid from the Lord God amongst the trees of the garden. But the Lord God called to the man, where are you? He answered, I heard you in the garden and I was afraid because I was naked. so I hid. You may be seated. and they heard God walking through the garden and they hid and he asked them why you had I want to preach today using as a subject, shame on you. Shame on you. the diagnosis has come back and the results are in that the society that we live in has a severe case of dyslexia. because we tend and are prone to read things backwards. Make it make sense. How we shame victims and rationalize perpetrators. it becomes very difficult for survivors to come forward because we penalize appearance, categorize clothes, minimize power dynamics, and we do it all in earshot of our daughters. Our sons have even less of a chance because it's projected that they should know how to protect themselves. …

… garden in the cool of the day. And they hid from the Lord God among the trees of the garden. But the Lord God called to them, where are you? And he answered, I heard you in the garden and I was afraid because I'm naked. So I hid. And he said, who told you that you were naked? Have you eaten from the tree that I commanded you not to eat from? And the man said, the woman you put here with me, she gave me some of the fruit from the tree and I ate it. And the Lord God said to the woman, what is this you have done? And the woman said, the serpent deceived me. And so I ate. I want to preach a message today. Write down the title. It's called, where are you? Where are you? The story of my life in my house when I'm trying to find these kids. Where are you? Sometimes they're in the bathroom. Sometimes they're in the backyard. Sometimes they're in the garage or my bedroom. I don't know why they're in my room, but I'm always, where are y'all at? …

The Blame Game - Part 1
Charles Stanley · Scripture reading

… And the man and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the Lord God among the trees of the garden. Then the Lord God called to the man and said to him, Where are you? And he said, I heard the sound of thee in the garden, and I was afraid because I was naked, and so I hid myself. And he said, Who told you that you were naked? Have you eaten from the tree of which I commanded you not to eat? And the man said, the woman whom thou gavest to be with me, she gave me from the tree and I ate. And the Lord God said to the woman, what is this you have done? And the woman said, the serpent deceived me and I ate. And the Lord God said to the serpent and he didn't say anything. You know why? Because there wasn't anything to say. He knew exactly where he was and he knew exactly what was going on and what was happening. …
