Then after desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin and sin when it's full grown gives birth to death. It's interesting when you look at this text, you can see the anatomy of sin. Look at it in verse 21. Here's what it says about Achan. When he finally confesses before Joshua, he says, I saw, I coveted, that means I desired, I took, and I hid. Same exact language used in Genesis chapter three. Eve saw she desired she took and then they hid same pattern in 2 Samuel chapter 11 David and Bathsheba saw desired took and then hid and it's not only the same pattern you see throughout characters in the scripture it's the same pattern in your life and mine that's why you have to be on guard against the sin in your life and kill it early that's why jesus in the sermon on the mount talks about how important your eye is what you look at he says the eye is the lamp of the body if your eyes are healthy your whole body will be full of light but if your eyes are unhealthy your whole body will be full of darkness if then the light within you is darkness how great is that darkness so what's the problem in the garden what's the problem …
