Through Him all things were made, and without Him nothing was made that has been made. All things were made through him. Without him, nothing was made that has been made. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. All things were made through him; and without him was not anything made that hath been made.

Into The Dark Realm – Part 2
Jack Hibbs, 2026-08-26

… was the Word. In other words, the Word of God preceded the beginning. And the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through him, and without him nothing was made that was made. Wow. Verse 14. And the Word of God became flesh and dwelt among us. And we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten, the only glorified of God the Father, full of grace and truth. That's your Jesus. That's the one that we worship. That is the Lord our God. I was in somewhat of a soft debate the other day regarding Islam and Christianity, and it was fun. But one of the things was this. Regarding Bible prophecy, there's no hope for the Muslim that Muhammad's going to return. Oh, he's going to return. He'll be here soon. There's none of that. There's only one who the Bible says is returning. And it's Jesus Christ. There's nobody else. And I just think that's just so cool because he's so absolute and absolute unique. …

The Coming Of The King
Jack Hibbs, 2026-05-20

… word was with God and the word was God he was in the beginning with God verse 3 and all things were made through him and without him nothing was made that was made verse 14 and the word became flesh and dwelt among us that's the king and we beheld his glory that's the king as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth. Hebrews chapter 1. I got to go fast. Hebrews 1, verse 3. Who, speaking of Jesus, being in the brightness of his glory and the expressed image of his person. Translation, if you look at Jesus, that is look at him, we can't look at him now, but we can look at him in the word. When you look at him, you're looking at the reflection of the Father, the Godhead, upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down at the right hand of the majesty on high. I love that. That's thrilling. …

Dave Baxter | Only Son, Our Lord
Dave Baxter, 2026-03-30

… his eternal person. He is the Lord. He is before all things. Second, all things are made through him. Colossians 1.16, Hebrews 1.2, John 1.3. All things were made through him, including us, and shall what was made say anything back to the one who made it? Romans 9. No, he is the maker of all things, and that makes him the master of all things. Over all things, he is the Lord. All things are made through him. He sustains all things. Colossians 1.17, Hebrews 1.3. Not only did he make all things, but he actively holds it all together. He upholds the universe by the word of his power. He created and he continues. If he were to withdraw his actively sustaining, life-giving, molecule-securing power for even one millisecond, then everything that exists would cease to be. Are you thinking about what you have to do tomorrow? And it's okay if you are. Are you thinking about tomorrow? Are you thinking about what's at work? Perhaps a doctor's appointment, a meeting? …

Encountering the Eternal
Guest speaker, 2026-03-18

… Perfect unity, uncreated. John 1, verses 1 through 3 tell us, In the beginning was the Word, the Son of God, Jesus the Christ. In the beginning was Jesus. And the Word was with God. And the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him and without Him. Nothing was made that was made. And John 1.14 goes on to tell us later in that chapter that the Word became flesh. He entered into His own creation to save us. Revelation 1.8, this is Jesus speaking to the Apostle John. Jesus says, I am the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end, says the Lord, who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty. That's Jesus, the eternal Christ, the Son of God, uncreated, self-existent. And a personal favorite of mine on this topic of Jesus being eternal is John chapter 8, verses 52 through 59, more specifically verse 58. We see here in John 8, Then the Jews said to him, Now we know you have a demon. …

Begin With Amen
Steven Furtick, 2026-03-16

… in the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. Through him, all things were made. Through him, Jesus, all things were made. Without him, nothing was made that has been made. And the Lord stopped me and showed me something that Nathanael thought that Jesus came from Nazareth, but Jesus didn't really come from Nazareth. If John chapter 1, verse 1 through 3 is correct, and through Jesus everything was made that was made, that means Jesus didn't come from Nazareth. Nazareth came from Jesus, and I came to preach about Jesus today. Oh, I preached that better than y'all responded. Through him all things were created. He is not subject to what he made. He is not subject to a human label. He is not a baby that was born in a barn. He is the preexisting God who in John 1, verse 14 became flesh, that's incarnation, and dwelt among us. And we beheld his glory, the glory as of the one who came from the Father. …

Episode 123139: 12/25/25 Waiting Well: Worth the Wait
Mike Schmitz, 2025-12-24 · Scripture reading

… and the word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. The question we have is, is that worth the wait? Like, is what God has done, is that worth the wait? Because think about this, from the beginning of the story, from the actually very first story. Here's Genesis chapter one and two, chapter three, everything falls apart. But in the midst of Genesis chapter three, Genesis chapter three, verse 15, God promises, he promises that there is going to be one who crushes the head of the serpent. There is gonna be one who restores all things. And then the whole rest of the story is people waiting from Abraham to Isaac, to Jacob, to the judges, to the kings, to the divided kingdom, to the civil war, to exile, through all the whole entire story, all the way to Jesus. is that worth the wait? I was thinking about, you know, this, think of right now, Christmas Day. I think a lot of us, we get really excited. …

… a second the word is a person who's that he was in the beginning with God and all these things were made through him and without him was not anything made that was made so this is a picture of God in the beginning, creating, as we start reading along, we start to realize, wait a minute, this is how John is introducing us to who? To Jesus, the word, the revelation of God. And we keep reading until we get to verse 14. And it says, the word became flesh and dwelt among us. and we have seen his glory. Glory as of the only son from the father, full of grace and truth. Are you serious? Do you know what that word dwelt means? It's the same word that's translated in the Old Testament. Anybody wanna guess? Tabernacle. Jesus is the tabernacle. He is the dwelling place of God in the world such that when you see Jesus, you see the glory of God face to face. This is what Colossians 1.15 makes crystal clear. …

… So he was the agent of creation for the triune God. Through him, all things were made. Without him, nothing was made that has been made. You're like, what is the deal with John 1 and pulling this out? Well, I haven't put it back in yet. And when I took it out, it was for a very special occasion because our resident astronaut, Shane Kimbrough, many of you were here when he brought this back, went into space a few years ago on a SpaceX rocket lifting off from Florida. And he asked me, and I'm sure some other friends of his, if he could take a small item into space to the International Space Station for me. And I was like, absolutely, I would love for you to do that. And then you start thinking, what is it gonna be? you know, what memento, what little thing, what photograph, what this, and I said, I know, I just want to send the word of God to the International Space Station. And so I tore out of my Bible, I hope it's okay, John 1, and I sent it off to Shane. He got it packed up with, however they packed the stuff up, and when that rocket lifted off, and Shelly and I and some friends were there watching Shane, our friend, on the top of this thing exploding into space, in there was the word of God. …

… created all other things then they get to John 1 and they just stopped they didn't complete the job and they let John 1 3 say what John 1 3 says and it messes up their whole entire argument but this is an ancient heresy it's not new not by a long shot in fact these heresies have been dealt with listen to this in the nicene creed that condemned arianism and a lot of people wonder why all these different creeds was getting together with all these different creeds and things like that listen to the nicene creed the first few lines of the nicene creed and see if you understand exactly to whom they are referring. Destroying Consumer Christianity
Francis Chan, 2017-12-24

… there was. In the beginning was the Word. The Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning, and it says, through him all things were made. Without him nothing was made that has been made. So this God Almighty in heaven breathed all the stars, all the sun, everything you see, you, me, this voice, this mind, everything. He just spoke it into existence. This one being, and then it says that being became flesh. Are you kidding me right now? Philippians 2 says that he emptied, so all of that power that created everything, boom, came into this little infant form. and I'm sitting there in my car going, God, how? How could there be that much power? How did you do that? How do you make yourself nothing and take the form of a man? You can turn that off. I just... As we're praying, I'm thinking, okay, that God we were celebrating, you know, death, where's your sting? Our resurrected King has rendered you defeated. …

… with God. It doesn't mean that He had a beginning. He was there when anything else had a beginning. That's what it means. All things were made by Him, and without Him was not anything made that was made. Everything has this stamp on it, made by Jesus. Made by Jesus. The devil has no raw material. All he can do is pervert what God has made. He's a pervert. And you can just say that to his face sometimes. Satan, you're a pervert. He perverts what God has made. And you read over there in Revelation chapter 19, verse 13, concerning Jesus, and it says this, His name is called the Word of God. That's His name, the Word of God. Now, what is the conclusion that you draw from that? That the character of the Bible and the character of Jesus are linked together. God Almighty has given them both the same name. If one is fallible, so is the other. If one is a fraud, so is the other. …

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God, and all things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it. Now, there's no passage in all of Scripture that more clearly affirms the deity of Christ than the prologue of John's gospel that says of the second person, the Logos, that He was with God in the beginning and that He was God, and that He is also the Creator of all things, that nothing comes to be except through the power of the Logos. And it says, in Him was life, and the life was the light of men. And this is the light now that shines in the darkness as the Logos Himself, the ultimate light source, comes to this world, the great light that comes into the midst of the darkness is not comprehended by the people of darkness. …

… basically more than anything else for the church's confession of Trinity. We read, He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him. Without Him nothing was made that was made. So that Jesus who came to this earth is now identified as the incarnation of that member of the Trinity for whom, by whom, and in whom all things were made. So that what John is saying in extraordinary ways is this, the one I'm going to tell you about, the one that I want you to believe in, and the one in whom there is life is the one who created you in the first place. There was nothing made that was made except through Him. We will see, I hope, in the weeks and months to come that there will be two words that will appear in John's gospel again and again and again, and those words are the words life and the word light. And he says in verse 4, in him was life. …
