Jesus answered, Are there not twelve hours in a day? If one walks during the day, he does not stumble, because he sees the light of the world. But if one walks at night, he stumbles, because the light is not in him. He said this, and then he told them, Our friend Lazarus is asleep, but I'm going to wake him. So the disciples said to him, Master, if he's asleep, he'll be saved. But Jesus was talking about his death. Well, they thought he meant ordinary sleep. So then Jesus said to them clearly, Lazarus has died and I'm glad for you that I was not there that you may believe. Let us go to him. … days. And then he said to his disciples, let us go back to Judea. But rabbi, they said a short while ago, the Jews, they try to stone you. And yet you are going back. Jesus answered, are there not 12 hours by daylight? Anyone who walks in the daytime will not stumble for they see this world's light. You know what Jesus is really saying to his crew? He's saying, guys, hold on. You think that I'm afraid of what man can do to me? If I'm in alignment and on assignment from the father, it doesn't matter what any man tries to do to me. I'm under a greater authority. Come on, clap if you're walking in the light and come on, praise him. I'm, I'm good. Cause God's got my back. He's saying God, no man can, can stop what God has set in motion. Verse 10. It is when a person walks at night that they stumble. This for Rams fans for they have no light. That's a word. …

… let us go to Judea again. The disciples said to Him, Rabbi, lately the Jews sought to stone you, and are you going there again? Jesus answered, Are there not twelve hours in the day? If anyone walks in the day, he does not stumble because he sees the light of this world. But if one walks in the night, he stumbles because the light is not in him. These things he said, and after that he said to them, Our friend Lazarus sleeps, but I go, that I might wake him. Then his disciples said, Lord, if he sleeps, he will get well. However, Jesus spoke of his death, but they thought that he was speaking about taking rest in sleep. So then Jesus said to them plainly, Lazarus is dead, and I am glad for your sakes that I was not there that you may believe. Nevertheless, let us go to him. Then Thomas, who is called the twins, said to his fellow disciples, let us also go that we may die with him. …

… He said, Rabbi, lately the Jews sought to stone you, and are you going to go back there? And Jesus said, Are there not twelve hours in the day? If anyone walks in the day, he does not stumble, because he sees the light of this world. But if one walks in the night, he stumbles, because the light is not in him. These things He said after it had been said to them, Our friend Lazarus sleeps, but I go, that I may wake him up. And the disciples said, Lord, if he sleeps, then he will get well. But Jesus spoke of his death, but they thought that he was speaking about simply taking rest in sleep. And so Jesus said to them plainly, Lazarus is dead, and I am glad for your sakes that I was not there, that you may believe. Nevertheless, let us go to him. And this is extremely cryptic language that Jesus is giving to His disciples when He said, He's dead, and I'm glad you weren't there. …
