Help Is On The Way | Sunday Message
Greg Laurie, 2026-10-04

… So he offers them these very familiar words of encouragement. John 14 verse one. Let not your heart be troubled. You believe in God. Believe also in me. In my Father's house are many mansions. If it were not so, I would have told you. place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you unto myself that where I am, you may be also. Well, they were troubled and were troubled. We live in such a troubled world right now. The onslaught of technology has only added to that. Some research has found that today's average young person is reporting more anxiety than the average psychiatric patient did back in the 1950s. We're under a new kind of stress. But to that generation, to our generation, to every generation, Jesus says, let not your hearts be troubled. And now he shifts gears. Go to John 14, verse 16. I will pray the Father, and he will give you another helper that he may abide with you forever. The spirit of truth whom the world cannot receive because it neither sees him nor knows him, but you know him for he dwells with you and will be in you. I will not leave you orphans. I will come to you a little longer and the world will see me no more, but you will see me. And because I live, you will live also. Now he elaborates on it. …

Meet Me at the Castle
Pastor Jennie Lusko, 2026-09-28 · Scripture reading

… John 14, starting in verse one. Jesus speaking, let not your heart be troubled. I could just stop right there. We could go our merry way and that would be what we needed today, right? Let not your heart be troubled. You believe in God, believe also in me. In my father's house are many mansions. If it were not so, I would have told you, I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again. and receive you to myself, that where I am, there you may be also. And where I go, you know, and the way you know. And Thomas said to him, Lord, we do not know where you are going. And how can we know the way? And Jesus said to him, best news ever. I am the way, the truth, and the life. no one comes to the father except through me and father we receive your word into our hearts Lord, would you allow the soil of our hearts to be soft to your word today? …

Christian – Is That You ?
Jack Hibbs, 2026-07-29

… Here it is. Let not your heart be troubled. You believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father's house are many mansions. And if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to myself that where I am, there you may be also. Revelation 3.10. Because you have kept my command to persevere, I also will keep you from the hour of trial which shall come upon the whole world to test those who dwell on it. Right? And finally this, 1 Thessalonians 4, 17 and 18. You read it tonight. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and thus we shall always be with the Lord. Therefore, comfort one another with these words. So, the alarm went off. We're done. Really, it just did. …

… Verse 1 and verse 27. John 14, verse 1 and verse 27. Both include commands and the commands appear to be identical. Let not your heart be troubled. And then verse 27, let not your heart be troubled. That's a command. And if you could read it in the text in which John first wrote it, the Greek text, it would read almost the same. Let it not be troubled, your heart. The difference is you could tell that the your is plural. Let not y'all's heart be troubled. That's what he's saying. That's as literal as I can make it. If you're from southern Israel, you'd understand that kind of a rendering. Let not y'all's heart be troubled. That's what he's saying to a group of disciples and to a group of people gathered here today. This is written for you. You don't come to read over the shoulder of some disciple. you come to get something for your life or you should and the very first thing you get is a long index finger up against your nose saying stop being troubled if you're like me you probably would prefer to have a little insight before you take a rebuke like that. Let's get some insight. And before you write anything down, just give me a couple of minutes in chapter 13 to show you the reasons their hearts were troubled. And then I'll share with you three thoughts that trouble our hearts today. Look at verse 33, 1333. Little children, I am with you a little while longer. …

… They had just spent three years with him. But notice what he told them in John 14, verse one. He said, let not your heart be troubled. You believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father's house are many mansions. If it were not so, I would have told you, I go to prepare a place for you. Jesus said he was going to prepare a place for them, for us, for you, if you belong to him. He's the architect, he's the builder. What does this mean? It means that the one who loves you and knows you better than you know yourself, the one who knows what you'll need, love, and desire throughout eternity is the very one designing and preparing your future home in heaven. You can't find that in an architect today. That architect that you hire for that remodel or for that new home you want to build, he doesn't love you. He doesn't know what you're going to need, love, and desire five years from now, 10 years from now, but Jesus does. …

The Coming Of The King – Part 3
Jack Hibbs, 2026-06-03

… you guys awake? As I read this, I want you to remember 1 Corinthians 15. We read it a moment to go. Jesus said, let not your heart be troubled. You believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father's house are many mansions. If it were not so, I would have told you I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to myself. That's key, to receive you to myself. That what? Look at it. That where I am, there you may be also. There's no mistaking this. This is not the first coming. It is not the second coming. It is Jesus Christ appearing and the twinkling of an eye event. And those who are alive in that moment will be transformed in that instant. The dead in Christ will rise first and we will meet them in the air with the Lord, that's what the Bible teaches. You say, I've never heard that before. Again, you should read your Bible. But I anticipated your question tonight. …

The Coming Of The King – Part 2
Jack Hibbs, 2026-05-27

… And here is the when, the when of it, the when. John 14, verse 1, let not your heart be troubled. You believe in God, believe also in me. Watch this. In my Father's house are many mansions. If it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again. and receive you to myself that where I am there you may be also. Listen, no rapture, no new home. It's simple. Jesus said, I'm leaving. I'm going to prepare a place. I'm going to come back and pick you up. And I'm going to take you there. Crystal clear. Why would somebody have a problem with this? well my pastor or my priest or my pope or my my bishop or my how about my bible told me that's a way better way to go everybody Yeah, wow. And then here's the how. The how. Philippians 3, verse 20, 21. …

05/03/26 The Next...: The Next Goodbye
Mike Schmitz, 2026-05-02

… Here's Jesus. Do not let your hearts be troubled. When Jesus said, do not let your hearts be troubled, what he's saying is, don't let your hearts be troubled by anything. Why? Because you know that God is good and you know there's more to this life than just this life. You know that Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life. So this, whatever this is, whatever you got going on in your life, what is this in light of eternity? Because there's some things, There are some things that mean less in light of eternity. Insults. Someone's insulted you. That means less in light of eternity. Failures. Other people's opinion means less in light of eternity. Our resentments. Aging means less in light of eternity. Our appearance means less in light of eternity. Our worries. Whatever you're worried about. Even death. to look at death and say, okay, but what is this in light of eternity? There's other things that mean more in light of eternity. There's some things that take on greater meaning. …

Your Only Hope – Part 5
Jack Hibbs, 2026-04-05

… here. And it is this, this, all the letters that you're reading here, these are all words of Jesus Christ himself recorded here in scripture. Jesus said, let not your heart be troubled. You believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father's house are many mansions, places to dwell, dwelling places. If it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to myself that where I am there, you may be also. I tell you, that's great news. And where I go, you know, and the way you know, but Thomas, he's the doubter. By the way, Thomas, anybody remember the other label that's applied to Titus? It's not his last name. But another part of the gospel, it says Thomas Didymus. And it means the twin. Thomas the twin. Thomas had a twin brother. We don't know who, where, we don't know anything about him. …

The Daze Of The Antichrist
Jack Hibbs, 2026-03-11

What I believe what happens when he lets it go, that's John 14, verse 1, 2, and 3, where the Holy Spirit says, here, Jesus, here's your church. Here's your church, take it. He steps out of the way, and then the wicked one is revealed. That's why this verse, that's why I believe the church, we will never know who the Antichrist is. I don't think it's even possible. Well, if we do know, we'll be looking down from up there. How's that? I think that's a very, very wonderful thing. And then, notice, then, that's a time stamp. That's a big word, then. And then, meaning only then, can the lawless one be revealed, whom the Lord will consume with the breath of his mouth and destroy with the brightness of his coming. That's the second coming, by the way, second coming. He's going to destroy him with the brightness of his, technically, second coming. And the coming of the lawless one is according to the working of Satan, with all power, signs, and lying wonders, and with all unrighteous deception among those who are perishing. …

16 Ounces To The Pound - Jonathan Pickens
Jonathan Pickens, 2025-12-18

… In verse one of John 14, Jesus says, don't let your heart be troubled. Believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father's house, there are many rooms. If it were not so, what I have told you that I'm going to prepare a place for you, if I go away and prepare a place for you, I will come again and take you to myself so that where I am, you may also be. So Jesus starts off encouraging them not to be troubled. A little bit of the backstory is Jesus is at the last supper with his disciples. Judas has just been outed as someone who's going to betray Jesus. He's just up and left. And so the disciples are rightfully in a bit of turmoil. They've just found out that a close friend of theirs is a traitor. And so they're stirred. And not just that, But then Jesus follows that scene up with in John 13 by saying, I'm going somewhere and I'm going to leave you. …

… That's some of the context. Then we get to John chapter 14. Here we go. Again, thinking about the mindset of the disciples. Don't let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God, believe also in me. My father's house has many rooms. If it were not so, what I have told you that I'm going to there to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and I'll take you to be with me so that you also may be where I am. You know the place to where I'm going. Start hearing the language, right? Of why Jesus made that big, bold statement. But I really can't talk about John 14 verse two. My father's house has many rooms without mentioning the song. I apologize. Anybody grow up in youth group, grow up singing the song? Is it in your head yet? No? It's a big, big house with lots and lots of rooms. A big, no, a few people? Oh, you got the motions gone over here. Okay. Like taking it to another level, playing football, right? Yeah. Like some of you are like, man, Christians are weird, you know? And we are. We grew up singing this song about the big, big house of Jesus, where we play football and a big, big table with lots and lots of food. It's a fun song and it's a memorable song. But if I actually think more about it, the focus, the way I focus on this …

… And let's go back now to chapter 14 where Jesus says, "'Don't let your hearts be troubled. You trust in God. You believe in God. Believe also in me. In my Father's house are many rooms, and if it were not so, I would have told you. I am going there to prepare a place for you, and if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with Me, that you also may be where I am." Do you hear what Jesus is saying? He's saying, you can't follow Me now, but I'm going to My Father's house, and I'm going there to prepare a place for you so that where I am, you can be also. And there's going to come a moment when I'm going to bring you to that place where I am." Now, the thing that gives me the most comfort about these words of Jesus is this. In the middle of this promise where He said, I'm going to prepare a place for you, He gives a parenthetic statement that comforts my soul. …

The Good Shepherd - Part 2
Charles Stanley

… This is what the good shepherd said. Let not your heart be troubled. You believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father's house are many mansions, many dwelling places. If it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to myself, that where I am, there you may be also. You know what happens? Good shepherd, when he was resurrected from the grave and ascended to the Father, preparation for what? The place you and I are going to spend eternity. The good shepherd following us all the days of our life is goodness and mercy. And then when he chooses to take us home, he says what? He who has always prepared everything on time down here is already preparing a place where you're not going to spend eternity. Now, let me ask you a question. If you've never trusted Jesus Christ as your Savior, what assurance do you have? You don't have the good shepherd. You can't say, I shall not want. …

The Coming of Christ for His Church
Charles Stanley · Scripture reading

… he said to them, knowing they were going to have some real difficulty facing what was ahead of them, he said, let not your heart be troubled. You believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father's house are many mansions. If it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you, and if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you unto myself, that where I am, there you may be also. And whither I go you know, and the way you know. But Thomas saith unto him, Lord, we know not whither thou goest. And he says, And how can we know the way? And Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth and the life. No man cometh unto the Father but by me. If you had known me, you should have known my Father also. And from henceforth ye know him and have seen him. Philip said to him, Lord, show us the Father, and we'll be satisfied. …
