Meet Me at the Castle
Pastor Jennie Lusko, 2026-09-28

… I love that in verse 23. Jesus says, if anyone loves me, he will keep my word and my father will love him and we will come to him and make our home with him. How comforting is that? As we are giving God space and making our home with him, he's making his home with us. And I don't know how that works, but it's comforting and it's beautiful. He says, you trust God, trust me. Make your home with me because I'm making your home for you. He's saying he's making his home in us. In the next chapter in John chapter 15 is one of my favorite chapters in the whole Bible, but in the book of John. And Jesus is telling them specifically, this is how you do it. You abide in me. You dwell with me. You remain in me. Make yourself at home in him. Number three, there's no place like home. You know that one. There's no place like home. When Jesus says that in his father's house are many mansions, I know in all of our minds, we probably think of something very specific, like a huge house and many of them. …

Called To Be An Influencer – Part 2
Jack Hibbs, 2026-08-16

… Jesus answered and said to them, If anyone loves me, he will keep my word and my father will love him. And we will come to him and make our home with him. What an awesome declaration. What a great thing. This is so critical, church. This is so important because of the negative. The negative side, the danger side of this is found in Matthew chapter 7. This is absolutely terrifying. I don't know anyone who reads this passage and they're not challenged by this. I read this and I shudder on the inside because when I read it, I always say, dear God, please don't let that be me. Listen up. It's possible in a group this size, it may apply to you. Are you religious, but you don't have a personal relationship with Jesus? Are you involved in Christian activity but you have no humility about that? therefore Jesus says by their fruits you will know them not everyone who says to me Lord Lord shall enter the kingdom of heaven but he who does the will of my father in heaven many speaking out the day of judgment many will say to me in that day Lord Lord have we not prophesied in your name wow Lord, Lord, have we not proclaimed your name? …

Tranquil Words for Troubled Hearts │ Msg 13/14
Chuck Swindoll, 2026-07-07 · Scripture reading

… If anyone loves me, he will keep my word. There we have it. You really know the truth. Fear is removed. When you really apply your knowledge, anxiety is reduced. You really love the Lord. Guilt is released. Notice on the back of your chart this morning, I mean the back of your outline. See that chart? Hasn't got a thing in the world to do with the message. You know why? Because God gave a whole different message after I, on Monday, worked up that chart. Let me tell you the difference. Even preachers go through it sometimes. Humanly speaking, this has been the hardest thanksgiving of my life. On Monday, my oldest boy got sick with a beta strep germ that sent his fever up to 104.5. On Tuesday, my wife caught it and stayed really in bed for about three days. Highest fever I've ever known her to have. On Wednesday, my oldest daughter got it. And she and her mom started to barf together through the last couple of three days around the house. …

Tom Groelsema | Christ and His Church
Tom Groelsema, 2026-05-12

… hear this, Jesus says, if anyone loves me, he will keep my word and my Father will love him. And we will come to him and we will make our home. with him. The same Spirit who anointed Jesus at his baptism indwells us. As believers, we are the residents of Christ himself. His address is our hearts. We are his temple. We are his home. Jesus has gone away, but he is present with us by his Spirit. And I would say tonight there is no greater source of fellowship than we can have with Jesus himself than by the Spirit that he has sent to us. He unites us to Christ so that we can know the presence of Christ with us now and always. You see this? We are not alone. What is Jesus doing? He is with us. We are not alone. He is with us forever. It's one of the great promises of the Bible, isn't it? I will be with you. Jacob is running away from his brother. …

Can You See Him?
John K. Jenkins Sr., 2025-09-08

… Verse 23. Jesus answered and said to him, if anyone loves me, he will keep my word and my father will love him. And look at this. And we will come to him and make our home with him. Amen. Somebody say, we. It's the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost. Somebody look at your neighbor and say, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost will come and live with you, hang out with you, stay with you, walk with you, do everything that you need done in your life. He will answer your prayer. That's why I keep telling y'all, stop worrying about what Trump did. Trump can't trump God. He can't trump the God that we serve. He's still God. He's still alive. He's still living. He's still answering prayer. He's still a miracle worker. He is still worthy of our praise. who I feel like shouting I feel like running around this building when I think of the goodness of Jesus and then I think of all he's done for me my soul hollers out and cries hallelujah Thank God. …

Hearers and Doers (James 1:19-25)
John MacArthur, 2023-08-20

… and I will love him and will disclose myself to him." Down in verse 23, Jesus answered and said to him, "'If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word, and My Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our abode with him.'" Verse 24, "'He who does not love Me does not keep My words, and the word which you hear is not Mine, but the Father's who sent Me.'" This is the distinguishing mark of a true believer. In the 15th chapter and verse 7 of the Gospel of John, If you abide in me and my words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. For my Father is glorified by this, that you bear much fruit and so prove to be my disciples. The distinguishing mark, again, of a believer, the most notable evidence is love for Scripture and submission to that Scripture. So the true Christian lives by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God. …
