Remain in Me, and I will remain in you. Just as no branch can bear fruit by itself unless it remains in the vine, neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in Me.Remain in me, and I in you. As the branch can’t bear fruit by itself unless it remains in the vine, so neither can you, unless you remain in me.Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me.Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; so neither can ye, except ye abide in me.

… all growth with pruning. You are clean already because of the word which I have spoken to you. Abide in me and I in you, as the branch cannot bear fruit of itself unless it abides in the vine. Neither can you unless you abide in me. I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in me and I in him bears much fruit, for without me you can do nothing. If anyone does not abide in me, he is cast out as a branch and is withered, and they gather them and throw them into the fire, they are burned. If you abide in me, and my words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it will be done for you. By this my Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit, so you will be my disciples. I don't know if this is just a portion of scripture I never, ever, ever get tired of because it seems to be this invitation into fruitfulness. Do you remember the story Jesus used a parable actually of the landowner who gave his 10 servants each a mina? A mina is a sum of money. Then there's another story of three servants that received talents. Talent is not an ability to play the piano. A talent also was a sum of money. And in each case, they were to invest that money to make a profit to give back to the landowner. What I want you to see is that …
… Go to verse 4. John 15 verse 4. This is Jesus speaking. He says this, I am the vine and you are branches. He who abides or remains in me and I in him bears much fruit. For without me, you can do how many things? You can do nothing. So Jesus is unapologetic about your life. He says, without me in your life, you can't do anything good. Without me empowering you, you can't do anything. But when you've got me in your life, you're going to bear much fruit. I don't know about you, but I want fruit from my life. I want fruit from my children, fruit from our church, fruit from our ministry, fruit from our future. Come on, clap if you're down to have fruit. The only way you can have fruit is through faith in Christ. so he says be strong man Timothy's like I'm young I'm a kid I'm not powerful like you Paul I'm not that good I'm not that eloquent I'm not that talented remember we read it in our Zoe Diva this week when God says Moses I'm gonna use you Moses like find somebody else I have a stuttering problem and don't you want to choose somebody that's like um eloquent he's like nope I'm going to use you. Why? Because the best ability is what? Availability. I chose you. …
… enemy, I have an opportunity to become even more connected to the vine. I read a scripture that helped me through one of the hardest seasons of my life in John 15, verse 4, where Jesus said, Remain in me as I also remain in you, because no branch can bear fruit by itself. Stop cutting yourself off from Christ when you struggle. Come to him quicker when you sin. Come to him quicker when you doubt. Come to him before you start drowning and say, help. Ask Peter. It works. Come to him quicker in this season. No matter how long it takes, he says, Remain in me as I also remain in you. As the worship team begins to play, I want to remind you that you can't bear fruit by yourself. You must remain in the vine, and neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in Jesus. There are some things in your life that are taking a little longer than you want them to take. I know. There are some victories in your life that, although promised, are not automatic. I know. If you've never been to a wrestling match before, it looks kind of weird. If you've never worshipped through a storm before, it might feel kind of weird because you're so used to taking matters into your own hands. I want to remind you what Holly told Kalia. She said, a pin can happen anytime. A pin is still possible. …
… fruit. You are already clean because of the word which I have spoken to you. Abide in me, and I in you. And as the branch cannot bear fruit of itself unless it abides in the vine, neither can you unless you abide in me. I am the vine, you are the branches. He He who abides in me and I in him bears much fruit, for without me you can do nothing. And then he goes on from there. But notice in verse 5, he says, I am the vine, you are the branches. And this is slightly different from what he says in the first verse, where there he calls himself not merely the vine, but he said, I am the true vine, and my Father is the vine dresser. So we have two things going on here in this I am statement that is very important. The second one has to do with our productivity as Christians of bearing the fruit that God calls us to bear by virtue of our remaining closely connected to Christ as branches are connected to the vine. …
