For All In The Family – Part 2
Jack Hibbs, 2026-10-04

… But we need the Holy Spirit. John chapter 16, verses 7 to 14 cover it all. But listen to this. I'll touch on the front end and I'll finish it off in a moment. John 16, verse 7 announces, Jesus said, nevertheless, I tell you the truth. It is to your advantage that I go away. How could that possibly be good for the disciples that Jesus would leave them? Jesus said, it's better for you that I leave. What could be better than having Jesus right in your midst? Jesus says, the spirit of God. Look at that. For if I do not go away, the helper, and I want to pause right there. Look at the Greek meaning of the word helper. This is a compounded word. Parakletos, parakaleo. Listen, para, you get the word para, parachute, paraglider. That which is alongside you, para. And then kleitos or kleo is the word comforter. The comforter will come alongside you. Jesus, listen, when he was in the flesh, he could only be where he was at. …

… when he has come, he will convict the world of sin and of righteousness and of judgment. So if I blaspheme, it means I'm resisting the primary work he has come to do in my life. I'm saying no to Jesus. The only unforgivable sin is a rejection of Christ. Every other sin can be forgiven. So the Holy Spirit comes to bring us to Jesus. Number two, the Holy Spirit seals us. So when you become a Christian, he seals you. What does this even mean? Well, over in Ephesians 1.13, it says, when you believed in Christ, he identified you as his own by giving you the Holy Spirit, whom he promised long ago. listen, the Spirit is God's guarantee that He will give us the inheritance He promised and that He purchased us to be His own people. So let's go back to that new car purchase. You go down to the car lot and you say, I like that car. I'd like to buy that car. Can you hold it for me for six months? …

The Daze Of The Antichrist – Part 3
Jack Hibbs, 2026-04-15

… And again, all that is at the end of the tribulation period. John chapter 16, verses 8 through 11 says this, And when he has come, the Holy Spirit, he will convict the world of sin and of righteousness and of judgment. Of sin, because they do not believe in me. And of righteousness, because I go to my Father and you see me no more. And of judgment, because the ruler of this world is judged. Satan, if, listen, if in your life, maybe you're here tonight and you've just come out of a seance or you just got done playing with a Ouija board today and now you've come to church and you're going, wow, this is crazy. Hey, let me tell you something right now. Demonic activity is real and Satan will try to convince you that he's in charge. Is he powerful? Absolutely. But listen, he's not more powerful than the Holy Spirit. He's not more powerful than God. Satan is a created being, so are as his fallen angels are created beings. God is not created. Jesus is not created. …

… But if I go, I will send him to you. And when he comes, he will convict the world concerning sin and righteousness and judgment. when the spirit of truth comes he will guide you into all truth for he will not speak on his own authority but whatever he hears he will speak and he will declare to you the things that are to come and he will glorify me for he will take what is mine and declare it to you there's so much in these passages that deserves our attention look at the unity of the trinity the son will ask the Father. The Father will send the Spirit. God bless you. There's such a happy cooperation that's at work here. As if to say the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, all three expressions of the same Godhead, are cooperating to be a helper, to come alongside, to be the paraclete. Did you take note of the pronoun, he will lead you. He will teach you. He will guide you. He will convict you. …

… and when he has come, the Spirit of God, he will convict the world of sin and of righteousness and of judgment because they do not believe in him. So the Holy Spirit, this is the problem. Some of us, we don't like the Holy Spirit because we want the easy way down. We wanna live in comfort. And so anytime we feel bad about our sin or bad about our morals or bad about our ethics, bad about our speech, we're like, I don't like that feeling, and we try and push him away. No, the Holy Spirit is trying to develop your character so you look more like Jesus and less like your old life. So he's going to convict you. He's going to convict you on every area of your life. He doesn't do it because he's mad at your sin. He does it because he wants you to hit the mark. He wants you to become like Jesus. I'm thankful today that the power of the Holy Spirit is at work in my life. …

The Mission of the Spirit
Charles Stanley · Scripture reading

… but if I go, I will send him to you. And he, when he comes, will convict the world concerning sin and righteousness and judgment. That is, he says, this is the reason I'm sending him, very specifically why I'm sending him. So, if someone were to ask you today, well, you Christians believe in the Holy Spirit, who is he anyway? Could you answer that question? Could you say to them, well, He's the promise of the Father, and He's our seal under the day of redemption. He's our guide, our teacher. He's our helper. He is the divine energy and authority by which we carry out the work that God has called us to do. And if they said to you, then exactly tell me why He's here. We want to answer that question because, you see, He didn't just show up. And so, the first thing I would say is simply this. The ministry, listen, He came because the ministry of the the Holy Spirit is essential to our salvation. …
