Serve The World
David Platt, 2025-11-12 · Scripture reading

… 17. Jesus prays, sanctify them by the truth. Your word is truth. As you sent me into the world, I have sent them into the world. For them I sanctify myself, that they too may be truly sanctified. My prayer is not for them alone. I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message, that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us, so that the world may believe that you have sent me. I have given them the glory that you gave me, that they gave me one as we are one, I in them and you in me. Louie Giglio, 2025-05-18 · Scripture reading

We're going to be leaning on the world to get our pleasure, to get our applause, to get our approval in life. Or we're going to be on this other track as Christians, where we are running from the world or we're spending all of our time condemning the world. …

The Triumph of God's Love (Romans 8:31-39)
John MacArthur, 2024-03-08

… As You sent Me into the world, I also have sent them into the world. For their sakes I sanctify Myself, that they themselves also may be sanctified. I do not ask on behalf of those alone, but for those also who believe in Me through their Word, those who come in generations after the apostles, that they may all be one, even as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You, that they also may be in us, and the world may believe that You sent Me. The glory which You have given Me, I have given to them, that they may be one just as We are one. I in them, and You in Me, that they may be perfected in unity, so that the world may know that You sent Me and loved them even as You have loved Me. Father, love them the way You love Me." Christ isn't going to turn on us. He died in our place. He was raised by the Father for having accomplished our eternal redemption. …
