Now to Him who is able to keep you from stumbling and to present you unblemished in His glorious presence, with great joy—Now to him who is able to keep them from stumbling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory in great joy,Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy,Now unto him that is able to guard you from stumbling, and to set you before the presence of his glory without blemish in exceeding joy,

… is a hindrance to these things in the very people that are around me. Now hear our prayers, and let our cry come unto you. And now unto him who is able to keep us from falling and to present us faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy, to the only wise God our Savior be glory and majesty, dominion and power.
… the darkness and from the shame, to live to the praise of your glorious grace. And now unto him who is able to keep us from falling, and to present us faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy, to the only wise God our Savior be glory and majesty, dominion and power.
… That's called a prompted response. Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling. Clap your hands. I said he's able to keep you from falling. I don't say it. I don't say it in a condescending way, but I just want to tell some young people, you don't have to fall off the roof. You don't have to lose your integrity. You don't have to lose your name. You don't have to lose your character. You don't have to lose your virginity. You don't have to lose it. He's able to keep you from falling and present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy. And that verse came alive to me. I quote it now unto him who is able to keep me. Him. He's my keeper. When I feel like I'm going to lose my mind, he's my keeper. When I'm not thinking right and fighting a private battle, he's my keeper. if I'll just turn to him and call his name he'll say here I come I'm your keeper and I'm able to keep you from falling He's on top of the world. …
… didn't say, oh no, it's all going to be rosy. Jesus did say, when you return, strengthen your brothers. Next verse. Now to him who is able to keep you from stumbling and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy, to God our Savior who alone is wise, be glory and majesty, dominion and power both now and forever. Father God, we pray, Lord, that you would just wash over us. May we go back maybe and revisit these notes, read them for ourselves, settle it in and that we would take up the word of God like the machira the sword of the spirit that it is and that we'd begin to apply these verses to our life and Lord that we would just stop whimpering about and stop kind of just just dragging ourselves around surviving when you are our father our God our redeemer our Lord and Savior and Jesus Christ the king of kings and Lord of Lords, you want us to stand up using this flesh. Stand up straight, grab onto the Word of God, and proclaim light where there's darkness. To bring love where there's hate. And hope to the hopeless. Lord, may we tell the gospel more now than ever before. Time is running out. We've got such a short period of time to do that. …
… Look at verse 24. Now to him who was able to keep you from stumbling and to present you blameless before the presence of his glory with great joy to the only God, our Savior, through Jesus Christ, our Lord, be glory, majesty, dominion, authority before all time, now and forever, because salvation belongs to him forever and ever. Amen. Jude ends his book by saying, It's only Jesus who can keep you. By the way, this is a beautiful example of parallelism. Verse 21, he says, keep yourselves in the love of God. Verse 24, not a him who's able to keep you. Only Jesus can do it. It's like I told you the very first week in this series, the example of my kids when they were little, standing with me in the ocean. So it's just not the strength of their hold on me, but the strength of my hold on them that keeps them safe in the crashing waves. If it were up to any of us, We'd lose hold of Jesus and wander out from under the protection of his love. …
… to others show mercy with fear, hating even the garment stained by the flesh. Now to Him who is able to keep you from stumbling and to present you blameless before the presence of His glory with great joy, to the only God our Savior, through Jesus Christ our Lord, be glory, majesty, dominion, and authority before all time and now and forever. Amen. I told you there could be five sermons in here. There is a lot going on. Some of it is strange and confusing. It's enough to make you want to scream out, hey Jude! Okay, there's the obligatory, got that out of the way, no more Jude Bellingham, St. Jude's Children's Hospital, Jude Law, Jude the Obscure, no more Jude. Scholars recognize that Jude is an excellent writer. There's lots of illusions. You saw them. Some of them you probably knew, others you weren't sure what was going on. There's lots of examples piled up on top of each other, and there's lots of items. It's full of examples, three of this, four of that, five descriptive phrases, three different groups, four different attributes. The best way to explain the whole book is to simply try to explain it paragraph by paragraph and summarize at the end with this big picture idea, keep. So, you are kept, that's the very beginning. God is able to keep you, that's the end. And most of the letter there in the middle is to say, here's what you need to do to keep yourselves in the love of God. …
… under eternal life keep yourself in the love of God three verses later it says now unto him who is able to keep you from stumbling keep yourself in the love of God now to him who is able to keep you, me, from stumbling. There is a connection there. Keep yourself in the love of God. everything that the enemy throws at us, whether it's a job loss, it's any kind of difficulty, a conflict in the home, doesn't matter what it is, somebody who doesn't like you anymore or whatever, all these things that come our way, every single one of them are attempts to disengage us from the love of God. To somehow shut off our awareness of this one who loves us so completely, so fully, so 100% the Father. The enemy works through difficulty, through accusations, through temptation, through all kinds of stuff to disengage us from the love of God. And so here he says, keep yourself in the love of God. Listen to this. The greatest reality in your life, usually I say us, but let's just pretend you and I are in my office, and I'm talking head to head here, nose to nose. I want to get something across. …
… thou trustest in Tetla too much. Jude chapter one, verse 24. Now to him who is able, yes, to keep you from stumbling and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy. That's in the Bible, folks. God is the one who is able that when he starts that good work in you, he will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ because he's the one that's working within you. And it's, listen, it's his desire to present you before himself with exceeding joy. You're not gonna be, listen, to the believer, you're not gonna be in heaven. You just, man, I hope nobody notices me. Oh, you know, I've just, the Bible says that God is gonna open up a grand, a broad entrance into the kingdom of God. You say, yeah, but I thought the Bible said narrow is the way. Narrow is the way. Narrow is the way. And when you get to the finish, the beautiful response is that God opens up the entry gates and you walk in. …
… I'm telling you that the Savior is greater than all of those things. And he is able to keep you from falling and present you faultless before the presence of his glory. but you've got to trust him. And maybe God allowed a storm in your life so that you could see that he needs to be your firm foundation. Right now, I want to pray with you. Every single person who's watching this online, who has an appointment today to receive the grace of Jesus Christ for the salvation of your soul, I want you to repeat this prayer after me. The Bible says that if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart God raised him from the dead. You will be saved. And it is by grace that you are saved through faith. It is the gift of God, not of work, so that no one can boast. You come to Jesus like you are. You build your life on his love. You build your life on what he did for you on Calvary. You build it on his acceptance of you. And you do it now before it's too late. You do it now before your house falls down. …
… Here's what you know. Now unto him who is able to keep you from falling and to present you blameless before the presence of his glory with rejoicing. To the only God our Savior through Jesus Christ our Lord be glory and authority and majesty and dominion forever. That's what you know. If you're a believer, he keeps his own. Those he calls, he keeps. I will wake up a believer tomorrow morning because God has kept me or I won't be a believer tomorrow morning. We trust in God, not ourselves. So the security that we enjoy, the assurance that we have that the ups and downs of our joy and the ups and downs of our faith don't destroy us. They won't. God has patterns built into the Bible to help us manage the downs. It's not hard to manage the ups. And that's what we're talking about this morning. There is a fight for faith. And the fight for faith is a fight for joy. if I was right on Friday night that to have saving faith in Jesus is to be awakened to the enjoyment of Jesus. …
… This is really a benediction. Now to Him who is able to keep you from stumbling and make you stand in the presence of His glory, blameless with great joy. Why will you arrive in eternal glory? Because He is able to keep you from stumbling. He is able to make you stand in the presence of His glory, blameless with great joy. to the only God our Savior through Jesus Christ our Lord be glory majesty dominion and authority before all time and now and forever amen people have asked me through the years occasionally don't you worry about what the devil can do to you never had such a thought in my entire life because ultimately I know what he can do to me if my life isn't what it should be I know He can render me useless and He can take away my joy and all of that, but I know what He'll never do to me, and that is separate me from final salvation. That allows me to go to battle without fear. Nothing can separate me from the love of Christ fulfilled in final glory. …

… Keep on pressing and ride this thing called life until the wheels fall off. But now, saints, now, saints, now, saints, unto the one who is able to keep you from falling, now unto the one who is able to keep you from falling, now unto the one who is able to keep us from falling, be all glory. and all honor and all dominion and all power through Jesus Christ our Lord.
