When an unclean spirit comes out of a man, it passes through arid places seeking rest and does not find it. Then it says, ‘I will return to the house I left.’The unclean spirit, when he has gone out of the man, passes through dry places, seeking rest; and finding none, he says, ‘I will turn back to my house from which I came out.’When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest; and finding none, he saith, I will return unto my house whence I came out.The unclean spirit when he is gone out of the man, passeth through waterless places, seeking rest, and finding none, he saith, I will turn back unto my house whence I came out.

… Verse 24. When an impure spirit comes out of a person, it goes through an arid place seeking rest and does not find it. Then it says, I will return to that house I left. And when it arrives, it finds the house swept and cleaned and put in order. Watch this, 26. Then it goes and takes seven other spirits, more wicked than the first, and they go in and live there. and the final condition of that person is worse than the first. Write down point number two today. A stronger man has arrived. A stronger man is on the scene. He says, now a strong man is there, and he's got his protection, and he's got his armor, and he's got his gear. He is talking about the wicked one of your life, Satan. He is saying he uses his armor. What is the tools that Satan uses in your life? He uses shame. He uses addiction. He uses guilt. He uses temptation. He says there's a strong man there, and he's got all of his stuff, and he's got all of his protection. …

… so I want you to look at this with me. Luke chapter 11 verse 24. When an unclean spirit goes out of a man, he goes through dry places seeking rest. Finding none, he says, I will return to my house from which I came. And when he comes, he finds it swept and put in order. … When an impure spirit, a demon, comes out of a person, it goes through arid places seeking rest, and it does not find it. Then it says, I will return to the house I left. When it arrives, the demon spirit, it finds the house unoccupied, swept clean, and put in order. Then it goes and it takes with it seven other spirits more wicked than itself, and they go in and they live there. And just, this is Jesus speaking. These are red letters. And the final condition of that person is worse than the first. This is how it will be in this wicked generation. The message version of the Bible says it this way. On return, the demon spirit finds the person spotlessly clean, but vacant. that's what I want to preach on today clean but empty and as a church we're going in to the final week of our fast and our faith is strong and we've been hearing some powerful messages and we've been sitting in some anointed times of worship and I hope you've been reading the word of God like we've all been doing collectively as a church and you know God is setting people free from some addictions, some things that have held you bound and held you down for a long time, things that you couldn't quite break. Your mental health is feeling clear. Your ability to put aside that nicotine, that vapor, that alcohol, it's become a little bit easier while we're fasting. …
