So you will again distinguish between the righteous and the wicked, between one who serves God and one who does not serve Him. There will be a distinction made. God knows those who are His. Judgment will come on those who are not His protection on those who are His. And it follows into chapter 4, looking at the very day of final judgment. For behold, the day is coming, burning like a furnace, and all the arrogant and every evildoer will be chaff. That's an indication that in judgment God protects His own people. And we perhaps are seeing that in the angel being surrounded by a rainbow, a symbol of mercy. I think that's a huge part of pastoral responsibility, especially here, maybe not so much in dire conditions of persecution which purifies the church, but in an insipid, superficial, shallow of Christianity, this really doesn't have much of a place.
