“But for you who fear My name, the sun of righteousness will rise with healing in its wings, and you will go out and leap like calves from the stall. But to you who fear my name shall the sun of righteousness arise with healing in its wings. You will go out and leap like calves of the stall. But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in his wings; and ye shall go forth, and grow up as calves of the stall. But unto you that fear my name shall the sun of righteousness arise with healing in its wings; and ye shall go forth, and gambol as calves of the stall.

… You want to possess what God has for you. The Bible says in Malachi chapter 4 verse 2, it's a great, great, wonderful verse, Malachi. If you're Italian, it's Malachi. The only Italian in the Bible. I'm kidding, it's Malachi. But to you who fear my name, to you who are in awe of my name, the sun, S-U-N, of righteousness shall arise with healing in his wings. Did you catch that? Sounds like a contradiction. Did you see it? Did you catch it? It's not S-O-N. It's S-U-N. But watch this. But to you who fear my name, this is God speaking, the son of righteousness shall arise with healing in his wings. This is attributed to the Messiah, the anointed one. It's not the sun as the burning satellite ball that it is, the sun. He's talking about when the morning comes, hope is renewed. You know how you suffer at night when you're sick? Doesn't it seem like night times forever when you're sick and you can't wait to see the breaking of the day? …
… put that. Whereas in the revelation, he comes as the son of righteousness with healing in his wings, Malachi 4.2. A subtlety and nuance, but nice to know. And finally, number 10, the rapture is not mentioned in the synoptic gospels, but as alluded to several times in John's gospel, whereas the revelation or second coming is characterized in the synoptics, but hardly mentioned in John's gospel. And I don't think there's number 11, is there? Yeah, that's it. Okay. So these are the difference between these two events, rapture and second coming or rapture and revelation. Now, somebody often asks when this is brought up, well, how do we know these events don't happen almost simultaneously, as some people say they do, that Jesus will come back for his church, that is, come back, take us away, and then immediately come back to the earth? How do we know there's an interval of time between these two events? Here's how we know that. Here's why I believe that we are going to be raptured before the tribulation period and why there's a time interval between those two events. Number one is the 70 weeks of Daniel, which is the prophetic backbone of all future prophecy. 70 weeks, the angel told Daniel, 70 weeks of years or 490 years are determined for your people Israel and the city of Jerusalem to do certain things. Then it gives the timetable. Seven weeks and 62 weeks or 69 weeks of years are given. After that, it says Messiah will be killed. He will be cut off, but not for himself. …
… John to announce the prophet Christ. The sun of righteousness will rise with healing in its wings, Malachi 4.2. There's an illusion there in verse 78. The sunrise shall visit us from on high. This kind visitation is according to the Lord's mercy, His tender mercy. that translates there, splunkna, sometimes translated elsewhere in the New Testament as the bowels of Christ. In your innermost being, that feeling affecting part, his tender mercies, the bowels of his mercy. For the people sitting in darkness, he has sent them light. God loves to send light. are you willing to see it? What happens if somebody wakes you up early in the morning, and at this time, in the winter months, it's still dark if you get up at almost seven. Somebody flips on all of the lights. What do you want to do? You want to bury your head under the covers. It's too bright. Some of you may be doing that with the light of God's glory or with His convicting grace in your life, or even at this Christmas season, you're almost close to taking Christ really, really seriously, more seriously than you ever have. And the light is making you a little uncomfortable. Walk into the light. Enjoy the light. You know, yesterday was one of those beautiful southern winter days. …
… every evildoer will be chaff. And the day that is coming will set them ablaze, says the Lord of hosts, so that it will leave them neither root nor branch. But for you who fear My name, the son of righteousness will rise with healing in its wings, and you will go forth and skip about like calves from the stall. You will tread down the wicked, for they will be ashes under the soles of your feet on the day which I am preparing, says the Lord of hosts. That's an indication that in judgment God protects His own people. And we perhaps are seeing that in the angel being surrounded by a rainbow, a symbol of mercy. And looking at His face, the face was like the sun, not surprising. He had just come out of the presence of God. He would be much like Moses, who went into the mountain, and God revealed His glory in Exodus 32 and 33, and the glory of God transferred to the face of Moses. Remember when He came down the mountain and the glory of God was on His face. This angel is reflecting the glory of God. His feet are like pillars of fire, literally His legs. It refers to His unbending holiness and judgment activity. …
… Again, the literally consuming final judgment of all the ungodly. Verse 2, "'But for you who fear My name, the Son of Righteousness will rise with healing in its wings, and you will go forth and skip about like calves from the stall. You will tread down the wicked, for they will be ashes under the soles of your feet on the day which I am preparing,' says the Lord of hosts." The saints have nothing to fear. Now that doesn't mean they'll all survive, because clearly many will be martyred. But as we come to chapter 7 in the book of Revelation, there is a unique group that will be protected, and they're a very critical group. There are 144,000 of them, 12,000 from each of the tribes identified. And what are they, or who are they? How are we to understand them? I think maybe the best way to get a grip on who they are is to understand that they are described in chapter 14 of Revelation, verses 1 to 4. …
