… They're not thinking about you mostly. time. They're thinking about themselves. So why worry about it? Philippians chapter one, verse 28, verse 28 in the same chapter says this, be fearless. Be fearless no matter who opposes you. It will be a sign to them of their downfall and that God is with you and that he's going to save you. I can identify with this. After Matthew died, we were subjected, Kay and I, to the most vile accusations and things and criticisms and armchair psychology. And people used Matthew's death to really try to harm us. And they said some of the most mean-spirited thing. And yet we made it through. And then I actually, after we went through that gauntlet of months, six months of it, I really thought, is that all you got? Is that the worst thing you can say? And I remember telling Kay one time after going through all of the criticism after Matthew's death was to honestly, I said to her, okay, honestly, I feel fearless. I feel like I've been through the worst possible situation and the worst criticisms and attacks you could imagine. And I'm still standing by God's grace and by the power of the Holy Spirit. And I feel fearless. What more can they do? …

… But instead, in that dark, dank prison, Paul wrote the most positive book in the Bible, Philippians. Now, in Philippians chapter one, verses 12 to 30, Paul, who is writing from prison, models four principles for being happy no matter what happens in your life. This is a very practical message. I hope you'll take notes on this. I want you to see the four choices that Paul made so you can make these same choices too. Again, you're as happy as you choose to be. All right. So here are the four principles, the four choices. First, I can be happy no matter what happens in my life if I choose to, write this down, remember God can bring good out of anything. That's the first choice. I choose to remember that God can bring good out of anything. Now, Romans 8, 28, that famous verse of scripture in the Bible says this, we know, not we guess, we know that in all that happens, all that happens, that's the good, the bad, and the ugly, we know that in all that happens, God works for the good of those who love him and are called according to his purpose. …

… Here's the verse. not in any way terrified by your adversaries which is to them proof of perdition but to you of salvation now think through this verse this is really powerful not in any way terrified by your adversaries which is to them proof of eternal judgment so think through this every time you and are victorious over a fear issue, what is broadcast on the PA of hell, the powers of darkness, is pending doom, absolute eternal judgment. And they try to get you to fear so they don't have to think about what's coming. I've got some really good news for you I heard just recently every time we are victorious over the fear issue what happens is the enemy all the powers of darkness come face to face with the fact that they are eternally doomed and there is no solution and that's what the victory over fear does is it pronounces, it announces it reminds what is coming their way. No wonder the powers of darkness work so hard to get us in fear, both to dislocate us in our sense of effectiveness, but also to erase from their thinking what they are facing. That's amazing. That's amazing. …

… and not frightened in anything by your opponents. This is a clear sign to them of their destruction, but of your salvation and that from God. The Bible says when we can be of one mind, when we as believers can get together and go, Okay, enough fighting in here. We're family and we strive side by side. This is not afraid of anything. I mean, the thing is, is when we strive side by side, that's when we won't be afraid of anything. You know what I mean? When you've got an army and you're going, no, I believe this as much as you do. Let's go. Let's go after this. And you lay arms and you go side by side for the gospel. Not afraid of it. What can happen to us? Seriously, there's a God who's sitting on his throne right now. Man, everything is under his control. It says he alone is immortal. He determines who walks out of the sanctuary. He determines in every, what do you call it, satellite room. …
