Sermons on Romans 11:25

I do not want you to be ignorant of this mystery, brothers, so that you will not be conceited: A hardening in part has come to Israel, until the full number of the Gentiles has come in.For I don’t desire you to be ignorant, brothers, of this mystery, so that you won’t be wise in your own conceits, that a partial hardening has happened to Israel, until the fullness of the Gentiles has come in,For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in.For I would not, brethren, have you ignorant of this mystery, lest ye be wise in your own conceits, that a hardening in part hath befallen Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in;

… next question can you explain Romans 11 25 and what the fullness of the Gentiles means yeah this is I can explain it, but it's not going to be good enough. Known only to God that the end time events includes this thing called the fullness of the Gentiles. and it's viewed two ways. Number one, it's viewed as when the last Gentile gives his heart to Christ, that's the fullness of the Gentile world being saved, and then God's work goes on with the Jews. I know that I have believed that for years. I still might believe that, The other view is equally plausible, and that is that the fullness of the Gentiles, when it's complete, then the end comes. When the Gentiles seek to destroy, via the Antichrist, Israel during the tribulation period, when that time of their actions to try to conquer Israel and conquer the world fails, that's when Christ returns. in Armageddon. So either, both views are popular. I tend to lean toward the first one I gave you, but that's what it means. We do not know dogmatically, but it's definitely an end time, last days prophecy that is extremely time sensitive because when the fullness of the Gentiles happens or comes in, then the next step is that God brings the concluding events of his judgment on earth. Scriptural Christianity
John Wesley, 1744-08-24

III. 1. But shall we not see greater things than these? Yea, greater than have been yet from the beginning of the world. Can Satan cause the truth of God to fail, or his promises to be of none effect? If not, the time will come when Christianity will prevail over all, and cover the earth. Let us stand a little, and survey (the Third thing which was proposed) this strange sight, a Christian World. Of this the Prophets of old inquired and searched diligently (1 Pet. 1:10, 11ff.:) of this the Spirit which was in them testified: “It shall come to pass in the last days, that the mountain of the Lord’s house shall be established in the top of the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills; and all nations shall flow unto it. And they shall beat their swords into ploughshares, and their spears into pruning-hooks. Nation shall not lift up sword against nation; neither shall they learn war any more.” (Isa. 2:1–4.) “In that day there shall be a Root of Jesse, which shall stand for an Ensign of the people. To it shall the Gentiles seek: and his rest shall be glorious. And it shall come to pass in that day, that the Lord shall set his hand again to recover the remnant of his people; and he shall set up an Ensign for the nations, and shall assemble the outcasts of Israel, and gather together the dispersed of Judah, from the four corners of the earth.” (Isa. 11:10–12.) “The wolf shall then dwell with the lamb, and the leopard shall lie down with the kid; and the calf and the young lion and the fatling together; and a little child shall lead them. They shall not hurt nor destroy, saith the Lord, in all my holy mountain. For the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the Lord, as the waters cover the sea” (Isa. 11:6–9). …

… And this now is what we call the times of the Gentiles. Key verse, Romans 11, verse 25. Paul said, But I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye be wise in your own conceit, that blindness in part is happened to Israel until the fullness of the Gentiles become in. There is a number of folks that are going to be saved that the Bible calls the fullness of the Gentiles. We don't know when that's going to be. But what is going to determine the time that Jesus is going to come and take the church out? It is when His bride is complete. It is when the fullness of the Gentiles has come in. And somewhere, perhaps tonight, that last soul will be saved. Perhaps there's a service tonight in the mountains of North Carolina. Perhaps it's a little country church there, and it's already darker there than it is here. And maybe it's a little chilly in the mountains tonight, and they've lit the stove for the first time. …
