… Extra biblical rules and regulations that we start to impose on one another. It's what Paul talks about in Romans 14.1. He talks about not disputing over different matters, that there are differences among the body of Christ, where people in the body of Christ agree to disagree. Titus 3.9 says, Avoid foolish controversies and genealogies and arguments and quarrels about the law. These are unprofitable and useless. Be biblical. Look at that which is addressed in Scripture. When you look in 1 Corinthians 5.11, I'll just read it to you here. Paul says, Now I am writing you that you must not associate with anyone who calls himself a brother, but is sexually immoral or greedy, an idolater, a slanderer, a drunkard, or a swindler. Those things are pretty clear. They're revealed in Scripture. It's the whole picture in Matthew 18 when your brother sins against you. Galatians 1. If your brother is caught in a sin. … I mean, all that I didn't mean to bring up, but Romans 14, verse 1, he says, as for the one who is weak in faith, welcome him. but not to quarrel over opinions. He says not to quarrel over opinions. In fact, the verse I really hit, Romans 12, verse 16, never be wise in your own sight. never be wise in your own sight isn't that a great verse never be wise in your own sight that's why he says okay that's that's what the world does everyone's tweeting their thoughts because they're so wise everyone blogs because they're so wise it's like here let me state my opinion after every news article on the internet someone they everyone types in their wisdom here's what i think here's what i think here's what i think in in the church it's got to be different we go look my thoughts are not his thoughts as high as the heavens are above the earth that's how high his thoughts are how much higher his thoughts are than my thoughts. So I'm not up here to give you opinion. As a church, we tremble at the word of God. In Isaiah 66 verse 2, this is the one to whom I'll look. He was humble and contrite in spirit and trembles at my word. This is how we can be different people. As people are out there expressing their opinions and fighting and quarreling over opinions. Here's what I think is most important. Here's what I think is what he says. Hey, as a church, you don't do that …

… I ask the congregation to stand for the reading of the Word of God. Receive one who is weak in the faith, but not to disputes over doubtful things. For one believes he may eat all things, but he who is weak eats only vegetables. Let not him who eats despise him who does not eat, and let him who does not eat judge him who eats, for God has received him. Who are you to judge another's servant? To his own master he stands or falls. Indeed, he will be made to stand, for God is able to make him stand. One person esteems one day above another, another esteems every day alike. And let each be fully convinced in his own mind. He who observes the day observes it to the Lord. He who does not observe the day to the Lord, he does not observe it. He who eats eats to the Lord, for he gives God thanks. He who does not eat to the Lord, he does not eat, and gives God thanks. …
