through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we stand. And we rejoice in the hope of the glory of God.through whom we also have our access by faith into this grace in which we stand. We rejoice in hope of the glory of God.By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.through whom also we have had our access by faith into this grace wherein we stand; and we rejoice in hope of the glory of God.

Tremble at God's Word
David Platt, 2026-09-30

… justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we've gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. Not only so, but we rejoice in the hope of the glory of God. Not only so, we rejoice in our suffering because we know that suffering produces perseverance, and perseverance, character, and character, hope, and hope does not disappoint us because God has poured out his love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit whom he has given us. You see, at just the right time, while we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly. Very rarely will anyone die for a righteous man, though for a good man someone might possibly dare to die. God demonstrates his love for us in this. While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Since we have now been justified by his blood, how much more will we be saved from God's wrath through him? For if in our sin, not only is this so, but we rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, to whom we have now received reconciliation. …

… being justified by faith, we have peace with God. Through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand—now, notice this—and we rejoice in the hope of the glory of God. We rejoice in the certainty of God's manifestation of himself. So Habakkuk, hang on. I know what I'm doing, and it won't be late, and it won't be premature. It will be at the right time. Some of us have illnesses that we would like healing for right now, and God says, hang on. We don't like the answer, but it is his answer. But in his own appointed time, he will accomplish his purposes. So let us learn with Habakkuk.

For All In The Family
Jack Hibbs, 2026-09-20

… we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom also we have access by faith into this grace in which you stand and rejoice in hope of the glory of God. Wow. A few more verses. One in this section, a few more to end. Isaiah chapter 1, verses 18 and 19. I love this. God says, come now. So before I read, does that apply to you? Listen. Whoever you are, if you can hear me right now, wherever, whatever. God is saying to you, come now, not come later. Come now, and let us reason together. The word reason is, let's argue. See, he's so honest, because you know, you do want to argue with God at times, don't you? He knows that. So he says, you want to argue? Come on. Come on over, and let's argue. It's like, yeah, I got a few things to say about it. Yeah, come on, guys, bring it. Oh my goodness, I have a horrible picture in my mind. …

How to Walk in the Will of God
Levi Lusko, 2026-09-14

… Only grace can keep you standing in suffering. Romans 5, verse 2, Paul says, and this is the same language from Ephesians 2a, by grace you have been saved through faith. Notice, through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And in our sufferings, we rejoice in the hope of the glory of God. When we remember that it's all grace, in suffering, we can actually rejoice. That's the context for the book of Romans. Christians in Rome dealing with suffering and persecution. He's saying we can rejoice in the hope of the glory of God because the best is yet to come. And grace just keeps getting better. And it's never about us. It's always about what he has done for us. All right, so we want to grow, secondly, in a grove. We want to grow in a grove. Maybe, just maybe today, the reason you feel like you don't know God's will is because you aren't growing in a grove like you're meant to. …

The Psychology of Victory - Touré Roberts
Touré Roberts, 2026-06-23 · Scripture reading

… we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. through whom also we have access by faith into this grace in which we stand. And we rejoice in hope of the glory of God. But here's going to get good in verse 3. And not only that, but we also glory in tribulations. What? What type of Navy SEAL language is this? But we glory in tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces perseverance. and perseverance, character, and character, hope. But let me stop right there. That word perseverance is an interesting Greek word, and it is from two words, hypomone, hypomone, and it means, those two words means to abide under, to abide under. So these trials are producing something in me. I'm getting something out of it. Oh, I feel it right there. What's that phrase? I'm leaving here with something. Some of y'all know what I'm talking about. It's not happening to you. It's happening for you. because something is happening in you and you are becoming qualified to stand in the times to come. …

What Was the Price on That?
Guest speaker, 2026-03-08

… Therefore, since we've been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. Through him, we have also obtained access by faith into this grace in which we stand. and we rejoice in the hope of the glory of God. We have peace by the ransom of God. We are former prisoners under our debt, but now, instead of being condemned to a debtor's prison, the judge has declared us innocent. The debt went instead to the son. Only one person can be condemned for a crime, and the judge has chosen to make his son the one who pays. Therefore, having been bought by the price of the son, we receive the gift by faith. God has declared us forgiven. So now, what do we do with that freedom? We neither deny it nor forget it. It's as Paul wrote in our sermon text, or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God? …

… we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we stand. This is the gospel, what we just talked about, how through Jesus we have access to God. So what's the result of that? Keep going in Romans 5. And we rejoice in the hope of the glory of God. Not only that, but we rejoice in our sufferings. This is a weird way to talk. we rejoice in our sufferings. Why? Because we know that suffering produces endurance and endurance produces character and character produces hope and hope does not put us to shame. There's all kinds of hope you can have in this world that will put you to shame. You hope in your riches, you'll be put to shame. You hope in your sports team, you will be put to shame. You hope in your reputation you'll be put to shame. You hope in all kinds of things in this world you'll be put to shame. …

… And then the second benefit that the apostle mentions is this, through whom, that is through Jesus, also we have access by faith into this grace in which we stand. And so the word that Paul uses there to describe what Christ has won for us is access to the Father. And that's what Jesus has in view here when He talks about His being the door. The door is a point of access. If I want to go into my house, I don't crawl through the window unless I've lost my key or something. Usually if you see somebody crawling through the window of the home, you call the police because you figure it's a burglar. The normal means of entering into a building is through the means of access, which is, again, a door. And so Jesus is that door or that way of access into the Father's house, into the Father's presence. Remember, this imagery is tied to the whole imagery of the barrier to access that goes all the way back to Genesis, that when Adam and Eve were expelled from the garden, God posted a sentry. …
