As it is written: “For Your sake we face death all day long; we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered.”Even as it is written, “For your sake we are killed all day long. We were accounted as sheep for the slaughter.”As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.Even as it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; We were accounted as sheep for the slaughter.

Tremble at God's Word
David Platt, 2026-09-30

… or nakedness, or danger, or sword? As it's written, for your sake we face death all day long. We are considered as sheep to be slaughtered. No, in all these things, we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am convinced neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that's in Christ Jesus our Lord. But in Jesus, whatever trial, whatever tribulation, whatever result comes from living in a hostile world against your faith, against my faith, we in Jesus, at the end of the day, even in the face of death, Jesus says you are more than a conqueror. That is awesome. …

And I'll read that for you just so you have it in mind. What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who is against us? He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him over for us all, how will He not also with Him freely give us all things? Who will bring a charge against God's elect? God is the one who justifies. Who is the one who condemns? Christ Jesus is He who died, yes, rather who was raised, who is at the right hand of God, who also intercedes for us. Who will separate us from the love of Christ? Will tribulation or distress or persecution or famine or nakedness or peril or sword, as it is written, for your sake we are being put to death all day long. …
