14 I want you to join me in Psalm 47. Psalm 47, verse 1. I'll be reading from the King James Version on today. Amen. Psalm 47, verse 1. Let's read together with uplifted voices. Come on, everybody. To the chief musician, a psalm for the sons of Korah. Oh, clap your hands, all you people. Shout unto God. Bless the Lord. Let's read it together again with a little bit more Bim Bigger and Vitality, everybody, to the chief musician. Amen. The apostolics are with us, so let's read it the third time for the Holy Ghost.

18 Come on, everybody. To the chief musician. Bless the Lord. You may be seated in the presence of the Lord. I want to preach today using as a subject, don't raise your voice at me. Don't raise your voice at me. Look at the person beside you. You ain't even got to say nothing. They already know. Just look at them. Media Minister, if you'll put the scripture back on the screen, I wanted to show you something, if I can.

16 The scripture we're reading today is an intriguing and arresting one, and the dedication is worth the price of admission. The psalmist, when composing Psalm 47, I want you to pay attention to who he addresses the Psalm to. Says to the chief musician, watch this, the sons of Korah. Oh, clap your hands. Shout unto the Lord. When he says to the sons of Korah, it seems like a very insignificant detail, but it's worth an exploration. Why is that, you might ask? It's because their father, whose name obviously is Korah, led a rebellion against Moses and Aaron in the wilderness. When they were en route to the promised land, a man by the name of Korah plotted an insurrection.

25 He didn't like who God chose. Because he didn't like who God chose and was planning a coup d'etat, a rebellion, a uprising, the earth opened up and swallowed Korah. But you got to stop by Numbers 26. Numbers 26. I want you to see it. Numbers 26, verse number 11, where it says, but the sons of Korah did not die.

59 Now put a pin in that. I'm coming back to get it. Korah was leading a rebellion and uprising because he didn't like who God chose. God saw his heart and how dark it was so he opened up the earth and swallowed him but did not let the earth swallow up his sons and now we find out that the sons of this reprobate have now become Levites they are the leaders of worship even while their father is a degenerate they are told in the first verse, shout unto God with a shout of victory. Who's he talking to? The sons of the rebel. And why are they told to shout unto God with a shout of victory? They should be shouting louder than everybody in the camp as you should be today because what God we're saying is you are not going to be held responsible for your parents' mistakes.

11 whatever bad decisions or choices your parents made, it is not going to fall upon you. He was saying to the sons of Korah, as he is saying to you today, you should be shouting because what killed your parents won't impact you. You should be shouting because the bloodline after you will prove that there are no generational curses. he did not promise them cars clothes and money what he said to them is you are shouting because what happened to the previous generation in your family is not going to happen to anybody in your family now you ought to be shouting on two different ends today you ought to be shouting that you are bigger than your parents mistakes and your children are not going to pay the penalty of your mistakes.

12 Now y'all ain't shouting because you acting like you done had perfect parents and you shouting as if you ain't made no bad decisions. But I declare over every screamer that's in this room, the generational curse is now broken. They were commanded to make a sound to seal the disruption. In Genesis, when darkness covered the earth, nothing happened until God spoke. You already know what it says in Genesis. It says that darkness and void covered the earth, and then God disrupted it by declaring, let there be. Everybody in the room, declare out loud, let there be. In the book that I want to offer you today, the book is entitled The Power of Sound.

10 The Power of Sound. The author's name is Joshua Leeds. The Power of Sound. It argues scientifically how sound shapes environment. How sound shapes environment. How sound shapes environment. It says in no uncertain terms that sounds is a conduit for performance and productivity. The earth was dark until God spoke to it. When God started speaking into darkness, lights showed up. Creeping things showed up. Crawling things showed up. Swimming things showed up. But as long as he was silent, nothing took place. Y'all are missing what I'm trying to tell you. His voice activated the miracles. When you are in a dark place, when you are in a dark place because of depression, a dark place because of doubt, a dark place because of debt, a dark place because of doom, many times you go silent and the enemy wants you to remain silent and withdrawn because he knows if you start speaking to darkness, stuff is going to start shifting. I can't hear nobody in here. Every now and again, and I know a lot of you try to act tough as nails and act like nothing is bothering you, but while all of the world is spinning on its axis and you find yourself in a dark space, that is not the time for you to be quiet. You do not have the right to remain silent.

49 You got to speak to the dark places that are trying to brood inside of you. And you got to remind yourself, I will get through this. I need somebody, 500 of you, maybe 1,000 of you. Would you just shout out loud, I'm bigger than this. I wanted you to say something that your enemy needs to hear. But you need to say, here's what I want you to declare. I'm gifted at surviving. Did you hear what I just said? I'm gifted. I'm good at it. It don't matter how many times I get thrown down. I got a gift to keep bouncing back. Folks keep scratching their head trying to figure out how I walk out of the bear trap. I'm gifted at it. I want you to be seated for just a little while. I need you to look at your neighbor and tell your neighbor, I'm not yelling at you.

50 I'm reminding myself of who I am. Every now and again, you got to shake yourself off and remind yourself, this ain't the first time I've been in a bind. If God brought me out the last time, No devil in hell can convince me He gonna leave me in it this time The benchmark, the benchmark for being raised by a black mother, it's the benchmark. This is the only test you need to know to figure out if you was raised by a black mother is if you can complete this sentence. Stop all that crying before I give you something. that's what God is saying to you in this moment stop all that crying before I give you something to cry about it must have been unresolved adolescent PTSD that inspired Marvin Gator right makes me want to holler throw up both of my hands lord knows that's how so many of us are feeling with a complete obliteration of the island of jamaica and no global efforts for restoration it ought to make you want to holler how it is that the president will build himself a ballroom while it is that millions of people have not enough food, it makes you want to holler.

35 How the president will say that he's concerned about the Christians in Nigeria, but has said nothing about those who are being obliterated in Gaza. It makes you want to holler. How it is they don't care nothing about children getting fed in public schools. They just don't want you to say nothing about the children that were on the Epstein Island. It makes you want to holler. Ladies and gentlemen, every now and again with all of the news and all of the alerts that come to your phone and on social media and on television, you don't even want to watch no news anymore. You don't even want to hear anything. It's like Stephanie Mills in the Wiz. Don't nobody bring me no bad news because in the words of Papa, I done took all I can stand and I can't stand no more. It makes you want to holler. And then when I get into God's church, when I begin to open up my mouth, some stuck up bourgeois saint want to roll their eyes and tell me it don't take all of that at. And they looking at me side eye as if they don't know everything that I'm carrying and everything that's trying to break me and everything that's making me lose my mind. I'm doing the best I can just to brush my hair, just to brush my teeth, just to remember to wash my face when I get into God's house. I was glad when they said unto me, let's go into the house of the Lord.

05 The song, the song is written in the same rhythm, in the same syncopation of Psalm 150, verse 6, that says, let everything that has breath praise the Lord. But in Psalm 47, verse 1, it says, clap your hands, all you people, and shout with a voice of triumph. He didn't say, do one or the other. He said, do both hands. I want you right where y'all would you clap your hands like something good is getting better to happen He didn't say just clap your hands. He said while you're clapping, shout with a voice of triumph. Don't shout in despair. Shout with a voice of triumph. I'm shouting because I know in the end I'm going to win.

01 That the fight is already fixed. That God is going to make all things work together for good. To those that love him and are called, clap and shout with a voice of triumph. The question I had was why was he making them shout? Why was he making them yell? Why was he making them holler? It didn't make sense to me until we were in Greece this week, and I started studying the works of Antelus, the second century surgeon. And the second century surgeon from Greece, Antelus, he wrote in his journal, that people, I want you to hear this, people who suppress screams during amputation, people who suppress screams during amputations take twice as long to heal as those, here it is, who make noise. Amputation is the loss of an arm, a loss of a leg, or a loss of a foot.

12 He said, this is what the second century surgeon said, is when you've had that kind of loss, you shouldn't be silent. It is natural for you to make noise, and it expedites your recovery. Y'all not hear nothing from me today. And there are those of you who are in this room that while it is that you got both of your arms and both of your feet and both of your legs, you done suffered some major losses. You done lost a house. You done lost a relationship. Some of you done lost a marriage. You done lost your mama. You done lost some money. You ain't saying nothing. You done lost some of your self-respect. Hollering helps me feel like whatever I lost, I'm going to be able to make it in spite of it. Now, if you ain't lost nothing, don't shout with us. But if this been a year and a half where you done lost so much stuff that you trying to figure out, has God forgotten about me?

16 Why in the world am I between a rock and a hard place, between the devil and the deep blue sea? God said, maybe you ain't got it back because I ain't heard nothing. If I heard you holler, you gonna be able to get restored the years that the tanker worked. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. You may be seated in the presence of the Lord. I need you to just encourage your neighbor, tell them whatever you lost, the replacement is going to be better. Pastor, why you say that? I came to tell the devil, whatever he took, keep it. Because if I was supposed to have it, I'd still get it.

10 But God got something better in mind for me. Whatever I lost, I want something better. in the field, in the field of neurophysiology, in the field of neurophysiology, they made a startling discovery in 2017. And here's what they found out in neurophysiology in 2017. They proved, I need you to hear this, that vocalization during pain triggers the peridactyl gray area of your brain, which is the region that releases endorphins. In other words, the body literally self-medicates, I need you to hear this, the body self-medicates from sound. So when your body hears a sound, then your body then begins to restore itself because it needs to know that you are alive.

17 I can't hear no worshipers in here. A baby will cry until you turn some music on so it can soothe whatever is that's happening. Every now and again, before you cuss or crash out, You need to hear a sound to know that everything is going to be all right. Lazarus was sitting in the tomb, and he stayed in the tomb dead until he heard a sign. Jesus said, come forth. And when Jesus said, come forth, y'all ain't saying nothing, Lazarus had to jump back up because a sound was required. I came to tell you there are relatives of yours that if you don't say nothing, they're going to end up in the cemetery. But because your voice carries life, when you open up your mouth, minerals will be canceled.

18 When you cry out loud, there's going to be an early discharge. When you cry unto God, their memory is being restored. Their T cells are back on track. Their blood pressure is regulated. Their kidney and their liver is functioning. Their cancer cells have got a run. Their heart is working in decency. Be seated, please.

55 Patients, patients in the hospital will have to stay longer, here it is, if they don't make a sound. Because the tissue repairs based off of sound. I want somebody to write this down somebody online I want you to get it suppression is good for composure but awful for recovery suppression is good for composure but awful for recovery in the account of the crucifixion in Matthew 27 verse number 50 it records and when Jesus had cried out again in a loud voice he gave up his spirit the soldiers thought he was breaking down but in the spirit realm he was building himself up. It's not finished until God says it's over. Come on, y'all ain't saying nothing.

02 See, some people, when they see you screaming, they think you dying. They don't know I'm screaming because I'm trying to get my life back together. If it didn't matter to me how I've been feeling and how I've been functioning, I would be as quiet as you are. But if there are those of you in this you ain't felt like yourself lately. You feel like you've been losing yourself. God said I just need you to shout one last time to let the enemy know I shall not die, but I shall live. Hallelujah. You may be seated. You may be seated in the presence of the Lord.

52 Hallelujah. Look down your row and tell them I'm just trying to get my life back. Hallelujah. I want to laugh again. I want to be in love again. I want to feel complete again. I want to be fulfilled again. I want my focus back again. I want my family again. I want to feel content in my heart. I'm screaming because I can't die like this. an Italian neurologist an Italian neurologist said pain I need you to hear this, it's going to help you pain is probably the best thing I told you today pain is not the wound Pain is not the wound. It is the signal the body is trying to get rid of the wound. Did y'all hear what I just said?

51 Pain is not the wound. It's the signal the body is getting rid of the wound. So whenever you are hurt, whenever you are heartbroken, whenever it is that you are hemorrhaging, whenever it is you've been backstabbed, whenever it is that you've been betrayed, the pain that you are feeling is not the issue itself it is the signal God is getting rid of it I wish I had somebody in here so God said make this your best shout because watch this the pain you feel right now you ain't gonna feel it after this. Folk been waiting to see how you were going to respond. How you going to react. What you going to do. Paul was by the fire and a snake bit him by the hand and folk waited for him to die, but he just shook it off and just kept on living. I came to tell you, I know you've been hurt.

57 I know you've been back sad. I know you've been betrayed, but shake it off. Because this pain and unto death is so that you can live Psalm 47 says, shout unto God with a voice of triumph. Verse 2 reminds us, he is king over all the earth. That's what verse 2 says. And then verse 4 says something that I particularly appreciate. Look at verse number 4 says, you can pick your inheritance. I think I lost you says you can pick your inheritance in other words your shout will dictate what is the future of those that come behind you Oh my God.

03 Please forgive the people who are clapping and shouting around you because you don't know what just happened. He said, shout, watch this, with the sound of victory. So the people who you just heard yell, they got victory over cancer, victory over court cases, victory over contract disputes, victory over foreclosure, victory over college tuition, victory over sciatic nerves, victory over car trouble, victory over career stagnation, victory over fibroids, victory over thyroid, victory over stigmatism, victory over HIV and AIDS, victory over our termination. Let everything that has victory shout like the enemy is defeated.

00 I'm almost finished. I'm almost finished. You may be seated. Now it says, I want you to watch the nuances and the specificity of the intention of the text. It does not say just shout. Don't say that. It doesn't say that. I need you for the last time today to turn to your neighbor. Last time today. Turn to your neighbor and tell him, ain't nobody hollering at you.

37 To God be the glory. When I give God this next shot, I don't care who's looking at me. it don't matter if the camera passes this way. I owe God a shout. I owe him a praise. I owe him a thanksgiving. He's been better to me than I've been to myself. And I gotta tell him thank you for every mountain he brought me over. Thank you for every valley he brought me through. Right here, cause I had some good days and I had some bad days. But my good days, they outweighed my bad days. I'm almost finished.

42 I'm almost finished. I got to show you one last thing. And then I'm finished. I got to show you one last thing. Then I'm finished. If you'll indulge me, please. If you'll indulge me. Those of you who are seated, you can remain seated. but if you're standing, I want you to take hands with somebody who's standing next to you. If you're seated, just hold hands with the person who's seated. Don't worry about it. There ain't no pressure.

07 I want to show you something. You understood it medically, but you didn't understand it spiritually.

29 You understood it medically, but you never understood it spiritually. I'm going to go back to those black mothers who I started with about 15 minutes ago, they understood it medically, but didn't understand it spiritually. Your mother never sat you down and told you the spiritual power, I'm getting ready to mess somebody up, the spiritual power of an ultrasound. Hallelujah. The ultrasound is crazy. Hear this. Because the ultrasound does not require light. It only requires sound waves. Hallelujah. When the ultrasound connects to sound waves, hear this, it exposes what you're carrying. I can't hear nobody.

27 When the sound hits the belly, you're able to see everything that's in you that's getting ready to come out. God, I feel something in here. God said when you shout, whoever's hand you hold, they're getting ready to see everything Everything they care is getting ready to come out of it. This is your last trimester. You gotta push until it comes out of you. Come on, I can't hear nobody. You better hear. There's a gift inside of him. There's an anointing inside of him. There's a call inside of him, right? Somebody's hand is in your hand. Somebody's hand is in your hand.

28 Watch this. You can't see what you are carrying unless the sound waves hits it. This is the last trimester of the year. I declare over every screamer that by December 31st, everything you carry it is getting ready to come out of you. I announce today for all of the screamers, you are expecting twins. He owes you a double portion for everything you've been through. The joy that I have, the world didn't give it. And the world can't take it away.

21 Pull on that neighbor and tell him it's in you. Greatness is in you. And anointing is in you. Baby is in you. My sign is going to activate whatever you can. I'm not screaming for me. I'm screaming for my neighbor. Shout that he will not die. SHOUT! Then it will not end! SHOUT! I see it. I see it. I see it. That's why the devil trying to kill you. You carrying something. That's why it's been robbed. It's carrying something. But you shall not die. You shall live. Oh my God.

36 Oh my God. I'm going to show you one last thing. I'm going to show you one last thing, that the inscription, the inscription is to the musicians the sons of Korah.

14 It's to the musicians, and unlike Psalm 150, he never tells the musicians how to play. because their body is the instrument. See some of y'all got it all wrong And that's why you only shout when you get to church Because you waiting on drums and a keyboard and an organ But the sons and daughters of Korah who are in this room Who know I shouldn't even be here Looking back over my life You got 30 seconds To get in the face of God with no music just shout unto God I should have been dead I should have been in jail I should have committed suicide I should have lost my mind I should be medicated but I'm alive Hallelujah.

28 Softless, sir. Lift up that hand. In the words of Dr. King in Memphis, 1968, we got some difficult days ahead of us. With everything that you're going through, it is incumbent that you find a safe space to holler. Even if you got to go sit in your car for a minute, don't you keep all of that on the inside of you. You're going to go crazy. You're going to need an outlet to scream it out of you. I said it's going to expedite your healing.

27 It's going to expedite your recovery. It is unnatural to be in pain and in silence. Physiologically, we've got evidence. Neurologically, we've got evidence. Now, biblically, we've got evidence that when you open up your mouth, it gives victory to every part of your being.

56 I don't know where you are. I don't know what you've been going through. But those of you who almost feel like you've been punching the air, you've been in the fight of your life just trying to do the best that you can let God know how much it has weighed on you would you just take 30 seconds and cry out unto him come on come on lift him up lift him up Come on, open up. It's hurt more than that. It's been heavier than that.

33 I can't take it no more. Let this cup pass from my mouth. We declare it to be so in Jesus' name. Let's follow Psalm 47, verse number one. All over this room, clap your hands. Is that all you got? In spite of your father's weakness, in spite of your brother's brokenness, in spite of your mother's issues, clap your hands. What I appreciate Your indulgence What I appreciate And I need you to hear this Is not just one child of Korah All of them This last child is reserved for you Not for anything material Not for anything tangible It's reserved for you A breakthrough is getting ready to happen I need you to hear me and hear me well A breakthrough is getting ready to happen In the life of your siblings I got the wrong church in here.

03 Some stuff you was able to just get past easily. They still weighing down with some stuff. But God said, if you give me glory, all of your siblings will be Levites. May it be unto you. You may be seated.

28 You may be seated. I want to tell you a story and then I'm closing. I'm going to tell you a story and then I'll be finished. The story is told of a day in West Virginia.

54 This is before waves. This is before maps. This is an era when people actually had a map in the glove compartment. story is told of a family in West Virginia that was on a was on a road trip and the father took a wrong turn took a wrong turn and kept going in loops couldn't find his way back to where he was supposed to be and while lost it began to snow torrentially.

40 The ice began to take over the road and the car lost control and swerved off of the road and blew out two tires. The father got out of the car and told everybody, stay in the car, I'm going to look for help. We done lost both tires and I need to get some assistance. He locked the car and left to go get help.

07 They left to go get help. Robbers showed up. They abducted the daughter. They abused his wife. And they handcuffed the son to a tree and made him watch it all. Hours later, the police showed up and the police asked of him What happened?

36 And the father, with tears coming down his face, the father said, it all started from making a wrong turn. And the wrong turn I made impacted my entire family. If I would have just stayed on course, if I would have stayed on track, my whole family would have been in a better place. the reason why you're in this room today is not because you're perfect or righteous or so holy you are in this place because God allows you turns even after you got off track, even after you lost your way even when you were unsure about what was going to happen in your family life what was going to happen to your children what was going to happen to your marriage God covered you even when you thought you blew all the chances.

34 I want you wherever you're standing, wherever you're seated, I want you to stand. Wherever you're seated, I want you to stand. Wherever you are seated, I want you to stand. Because somebody on your roll is getting ready to make the right turn. and the turn that they're getting ready to make is going to impact their whole family it's going to impact their bloodline it's going to impact their children it's going to impact the generation behind them and history will ask of you how did your family get to such a healthy place how did your family end up in generational wealth how did your whole family end up getting saved and filled with the Holy Ghost and you're going to have to report it all started because I made the right turn wherever you are in this place old song um musicians i don't even know if y'all are old enough to know it it's old song says we offer christ to you oh my brother we offer christ to you oh my sister wherever you are in this place make the best turn of your life the unborn generation of your family i hope you are energized that you don't need an energy drink what you just heard should have you off and running chasing your dreams, pursuing your purpose, and answering your call. If this was a blessing, share it with somebody else. Don't be selfish. This is what God gave you so that you can be a blessing to somebody who needs it worse.
