42:30 Stand in my body, take over my mind and think your thoughts. Take my mouth now and speak with power your word. Bless your word and give such power to your word that none of us leave this experience online or in the house the same way that we came so have your way have your way you are the potter wheel the clay mold us and make us after your will while we are waiting yielded and still in jesus name we pray amen and hallelujah would you praise god with me for our young people our children praise dancers. the choir y'all on fire thank you thank you y'all have blessed us tremendously tremendously i want to call your attention uh in these few moments to a passage of scripture found in the gospel according to matthew uh our theme for this month has been justice uh god's call for us to stand for the oppressed and so I want to wrap it with Matthew chapter 6 verse 10 and from the Clarence Jordan cotton patch version of the gospel of Matthew we find these words your movement spread your will prevail though through earth as through the heavens your movement spread your will prevail through earth as through the heavens.
44:18 Of course, your translation probably reads, your kingdom come, your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. You may be seated in God's presence. Just a few moments with your prayers. I want to talk about heaven must be like this. Heaven must be like this. Hell is not the only place you go when you die. it's also a predicament you may be in while you're living. For millions of people, hell is an address they woke up at this morning. Every hell on earth has a landlord and every injustice is somebody collecting rent on somebody suffering. Hell is not just fire and brimstone, it's hell to live with the threat of what may be done to you or withheld from you by someone you thought loved you.
45:19 Hell is a little girl's bedroom door that won't lock. Hell, a ballot box that won't count you. And a prayer that nobody on earth seems to hear as you battle with a dire diagnosis. Sterling Brown that amazing gift who wrote during the Harlem Renaissance had a poem entitled Slim in Hell Slim in Hell is about Slim Greer Slim Greer makes it to the interest entrance of eternal glory and because he is going to spend eternity in the presence of the creator and sustainer of life our almighty God. Peter lets him know if you want to you can go check out hell to see what you missed out on. And so Slim agrees to go down and survey hell and as he goes to survey hell he comes back and reports the place was Dixie that I took for hell. Peter answers where in hell did you think hell was anyhow. In a real sense, Sterling Brown sent Slim to hell and Slim came back saying it looked just like Jim and Jane Crow in the South because injustice is hell with a zip code that is filled in. Preach Freddie Haynes, I already am. In a real sense, you don't just wait until you die to experience hell. Hell is not just an eternal destination. Hell can be an existential situation and already I'm in somebody's Kool-Aid. I've called out your flavor because you understand what it's like to work with people who are hell youngs or maybe you deal with people every single day who do nothing but raise hell. The bottom line is hell is not just an eternal destination.
47:24 Hell can be your existential situation. And my sisters and brothers, given all of that, I want to remind us of who is it? John Paul Sartre. Sartre wrote a play and entitled that play, No Exit. And in the play, No Exit, you have three characters who have been sentenced, Don't miss this, to live eternally in hell. But when they show up in hell, they discover there's no fire, there's no brimstone. But according to Jean-Paul Sartre, they are locked in a room with no exit and only an entrance. They are locked in a room with no exit, only an entrance, no glass to look into or out of, immovable furniture and artificial shrubbery. Wait, I'm not done. They are locked in a room with no exit, only an entrance, no glass to look into or out of. Immovable furniture, artificial shrubbery, but that ain't what makes hell, hell. What makes hell, hell is that you've got these three individuals who are locked in this room with no exit, only an entrance, no glass to look into or out of immovable furniture and artificial shrubbery.
48:46 Their names are Garson. Garson is a self-centered narcissistic introvert. And then you've got Inez. Inez is a lesbian. Then you have Estelle who is a statuesque and stunning beauty queen. But this is hell. Hell is that Estelle is romantically attracted to and therefore she pursues Garson. But Garson somehow is turned on by Inez. But I told y'all Inez is a lesbian, so Inez wants a stale. So you got a stale trying to get with Garson. You got Garson trying to get with Inez. You got Inez trying to get with a stale, a stale Garson, Garson Inez, Inez, a stale, and they're locked in a room with no exit, only an entrance, no glass to look into or out of immovable furniture, artificial shrubbery feels like hell to me. I'm simply saying my sisters and brothers that what John Paul Sartre was doing was declaring by way of a theme that you don't have to just die to experience hell because hell, here's the theme, it's other people. And that's what I want to hang out with and deal with right now that hell can be an existential situation and already I pulled it to somebody's address because this week has been hell. It's been hell because of who you had to deal with.
50:20 It's been hell because of what happened to you. It has been hell. As a matter of fact, I think I can quote, who is it? Ludacris. Ludacris says, poor little Lisa living in her world all alone, forced to think that hell is a place called home. I got to back up and grab you because whenever you are violated in a space where you are supposed to be victorious, whenever you find yourself being brutalized or experiencing the mental gains of money being withheld because you were living in a situation with someone who claims to love you, but if loving you is wrong, you don't want to be right because the bottom line is your life with them has become a living hell. I'm dealing with this, my sisters and brothers, because some of us love the Lord of heaven and yet our lives are continuous battles with hell. And please understand, I'm not making this up because in our text we meet heaven's hero and earth's emancipator our sable skin savior from the streets in Matthew chapter 4 he's had to watch this handle the general of hell by waging war with wickedness in the wilderness the bible lets us know that Jesus after being baptized don't miss this in the Jordan River. He's baptized in the Jordan. He comes up. The Spirit comes down. God speaks and says, this is my beloved Son in whom I'm well pleased. It's a heavenly moment, but in the afterglow of that heavenly moment, he is driven by the Spirit into the wilderness to wage war with wickedness and the book says he engages with evil he wages war with wickedness he deals with the
52:28 devil in the wilderness I want to park right there because in the afterglow of the magical moment in the Jordan River where he's baptized and God affirms who he is and the Holy Spirit comes down in the immediate afterglow, all hell breaks out. I got to park right there because that is show enough life because you can be on a high and then all of a sudden something will happen that will bring you crashing back to earth. That's why you've got to be on your guard after every worship experience because you can leave church feeling good and the devil meets you in the parking lot. I'm trying to let you know, my sisters and brothers, that Jesus, heaven's hero, again, our Lord, loving liberator, has experienced heaven on earth, but then all hell breaks loose. But the Bible lets us know that Jesus wins over wickedness.
53:32 He defeats the demonic in the desert. Why? Because we can't win over wickedness. wickedness. Jesus says in this world you're going to have trouble but be of good cheer. I have overcome the world. Jesus lets us know because I have won. My victory is your victory because I have won. The devil can't have the last word on you because I didn't let the devil have the last word on me. And now the book lets us know in the power of the Spirit Jesus emerges from the wilderness. And there he begins his earthly ministry in Galilee. And there in Galilee, look at our Savior offering, here it is, free health care and healing to those who had pre-existing conditions. Look at our Savior making sure that those who are wrestling with their own demons experience deliverance. I like that because I don't care how big your Bible is, we all got some demons. I don't care how much you think you love God, all of us got some demons we got to deal with. Some demons are walking around you, some demons are within you, but all of us got some demons that we are dealing with. And the book says that Jesus is able to deliver us from our demons. Hold on. It gets gooder because now the text lets us know he has a growing congregation of followers who are hyped with hope about this hero from heaven. They are excited and energized with expectation because you understand they are living in a Palestinian outpost, don't miss this, of the Roman Empire. They are othered and oppressed. They are discriminated against and dissed. They are a people who are struggling and suffering and suppressed. But the book lets us
55:40 know Jesus is mounting and mobilizing a movement that's going to make a difference. And now in chapter 5, the Bible lets us know Jesus goes up to a mountain after he had called his first disciples because Jesus wants to engage in an orientation for liberation as he mounts and mobilizes this movement that's going to make a difference. And now the text lets us know on the mountain, he shares a sermon. Really, the text says he sat down and taught them. And there as Jesus taught them. Jesus begins by letting them know that you've got to have power from the inside out. Because life is not a matter of living it from the outside in. Outside in, it's about what you drive inside out.
56:37 It's about what drives you outside in. It's about the clothes you wear inside out. It's about the character wearing those clothes outside in. It's about what's happening on the outside, but inside out is when you know greater is he that is in you than he that is in the world. That's why the text talks about what's this? The Beatitudes, which has to do with having the right attitude, regardless of the atmosphere and your adversaries. because in a real sense, y'all, no matter who you are, you're going to have to deal with some atmospheres that are adversarial and some adversaries that are crazy. And if you're not careful, you'll allow what's around you to get in you. And if it gets in you, it will defeat you. But if you already are to quote Howard Thurman, living your outer life from your inward sanctuary, preach, Freddie Hayes, where you recognize I've got to live my life from the inside out.
57:43 I got my power on the inside because what I have on the inside is connected to the God above me. And when you're connected to the God above you and God now lives within you, what you have going for you is greater than what comes against you. I'm simply trying to let you know Jesus says, I want you to have the right attitude. And then Jesus shows us how to live on earth and how to engage our enemies and handle our haters in the power of a love that they can't give. And a love they can't take away because Jesus is saying when you have enemies, it means you're about something. because they ain't about nothing and because they ain't about nothing. They can't stand your something and because they can't stand your something, they want to drag you down to where they are.
58:42 But you've got to have such power from within that you keep on stepping no matter what it is they try to do to you because you don't want to give, here it is, major energy to minor people. You can't allow negative people to rob you of the positives in your spirit. I love this because the Bible lets us know that Jesus is teaching. And while teaching now, he shifts to chapter 6. I love chapter 6 because Jesus says, Now I got to show you how to connect with heaven in the power of prayer. And he begins by saying, if you honor God in private, God will honor you in public. If you spend time with God in private, then God will show up in your life in public. Y'all missed every shout I just gave you.
59:37 Because really it's what goes on behind the scenes that determines how you shine on stage. A whole lot of folk want to shine on stage, but they ain't done nothing behind the scenes. If you spend time with God in private, God will show up and give you power in public. preach Freddie Hayes I'm doing the best I can and so understand my sisters and brothers that that Jesus now says as you honor God in private you do it in the power of prayer and offers up what we call the model prayer it's a pattern an outline of how to frame your prayer It speaks to how we look at prayer because he says you begin by saying our heavenly father. I like that right there because in essence Jesus is saying always remember when you pray God is personal.
1:00:41 God is as near to you as the breath you breathe. God is a personal God. And I like it because God as the personal God is our perfect parent. And that our perfect parent loves and accepts us unconditionally. Our perfect parent knows how to grow us, guard us, and guide us, direct us, protect us, and correct us. We've got a perfect parent who loves and accepts us unconditionally. Isn't it good to know that with all the fickle, funny folk that we deal with, that we serve a God who loves and accepts us unconditionally with the love that is healing and gives us hope because God knows us better than we know ourselves. The Bible says God is so personal that God numbers the hairs on our head.
1:01:39 And if you're like me, the follicles that don't work no more, God knows us. God loves us. God cares for us. God is a personal God. So when you start your prayer off, just start off praying our father. And sometimes that'll just get you shouting right there to think about the fact that your earthly father may have walked out, but your heavenly father has walked in. Your earthly father may have abused you, but your heavenly father loves on you and heals you and liberates you and lifts you. I've got to go on. Not only do we say our father, but we say what? Hallowed be thy name. Your name is holy. Understand that God's name is a reflection of God's nature. God's name gives you clues to God's character.
1:02:34 And what the Jesus is saying is you want to pray in such a way that you say, God, I want your name to be hallowed, to be holy on earth. I want your name to be who you are everywhere. That's why the psalmist said, oh Lord, our Lord, how excellent is your name in all the earth. I guess you don't know God's name. I'm going to help you out right quick. Ah, God's name is revealed in Exodus chapter 3. When Moses is on the backside of the desert, Moses is minding his business. And God shows up in a bush that is burning, but not burnt up. And Moses says, yo, what's up? God said, I'm sending you to tell Pharaoh, let my people go. Because I'm a liberating revolutionary and a revolutionary liberator. Go tell Pharaoh, let my people go.
1:03:32 And Moses says, slow up, God, because the people are going to ask me what your name is. And God says, well, tell them to say my name, say my name, say my name. Because I am that I am. I will be who I have been. I will be who I will be. I am that I am. That's my name. And so you tell them that's my name. because whatever you need, I am. If you're hungry, I am bread. If you're thirsty, I am water. If you're stuck, I am a way out of nowhere. If you're sick, I'm the great physician. If you're in trouble, I'm a lawyer. If you find yourself in a bad situation, I'm a way out of nowhere. Whatever you need, I am. I am. I am.
1:04:23 I'm feeling that right there. Whatever you need, I am. That's his name. Hallow your name. Show up as I am. Oh, you didn't shout. Okay, well, he's got some more names. Elohim. Elohim, in the beginning, Elohim created the heavens and the earth. You didn't shout. I got to help you. And the earth was without form. And darkness covered the face of the deep. It's a picture of what scholars call chaos. Chaos, but Elohim began to hover over the chaos. And before you know it, Elohim said, let there be. And there was. And chaos gave way to cosmos. Disorder and dysfunction gave way to a divine design.
1:05:19 I got a park right there. what was nothing gave way to something new. And all I'm trying to say when you know God and God's name is hallowed, God says in a chaotic situation, just say my name, say my name, say my name because I have a track record of showing up in chaos, a track record of showing up in dysfunction. Maybe that's what this country needs to do. And that is say his name because it's chaotic right now. We got corruption in the White House. We got corruption and a crook running for the Senate. We got fools saying that they're doing stuff in Jesus' name. And Jesus is saying, hell if you are, I don't know who you are. I'm simply trying to let you know it's chaotic. But when you say his name, his name brings cosmos out of chaos and a divine design out of disorder and dysfunction.
1:06:20 You better say his name. Will you say his name? I'm going to say his name. Heart fixer, mind regulator, burden bearer, heavy load sharer, rock in a weary land. I'm just trying to say his name because there is a name I love to hear. I love to sing its worth. Sounds like music in my ear. The sweetest name on earth. Oh, how I love Jesus. Oh, how I love Jesus. Because he first loved me. Hallow his name. Elohim. El Elyon. The most high God. El Shaddai. The almighty God. ain't nothing too hard for God whatever you dealing with God says if I can raise the dead Jesus I can handle your situation El Shaddai Adonai the Lord God omnipotent who rules and reigns ah the Lord of hosts the captain and commander in chief of an angelic army you just gotta hallow his name hallow his name and when you hallow his name it's so that here's your shout your kingdom can come and your will be done on earth as it is in heaven here's the shout just like you ain't gotta die to experience hell you ain't gotta die for heaven to show up in your hellish situation and run hell back to hell preach Freddie that was good huh here it is here it is because i'm not making this up let your kingdom come and your will be done on earth as it is in heaven you didn't shout uh uh uh read ephesians chapter one in ephesians chapter one the writer says we have access right now to every spiritual blessing
1:08:28 in heavenly places. Whatever I'm dealing with right now on earth, I can access heavenly power, heavenly peace, heavenly strength, heavenly miracles. I can access the supernatural power of heaven to deal with the natural hell I'm dealing with on earth.
1:08:56 Okay, I got to get you. I got to get you. So, in the words of the Ohio players, heaven must be like this. It must be like this. Heaven must be like this. It must be like this. Y'all ain't been in church all your life, have you? Heaven must be like this. That's the Ohio players. The Ohio players back in the day, they were singing a song, watch this, about a love so strong. Oh my God. About a honey of a hottie and a beautiful baddie that they had gotten with. And now all they can conclude was, you know what, this is getting so good to me. That heaven must be like this.
1:09:55 Oh, y'all looking around like you ain't never had that experience in your life. I pray for you. God bless you. Hopefully, you'll get that experience one day. But when the stuff gets good to you and you're feeling that thing, and sometimes you're driving to work and you have a flashback as to how good that thing is before you know it, you're feeling the Ohio players. Heaven must be like this. It must be. You ever looked at somebody and just the very look at them just said, oh my God, it just happened. Okay, I got to stop right now because I need us to get back in church because I see some of y'all trying to leave me. I need you to come on back in because I'm letting you know if you can feel that way about somebody who is physical, somebody who makes mistakes, somebody who is human, somebody who every now and then is going to mess up. I got somebody for you.
1:10:54 I got somebody who never makes a mistake. I've got somebody who loves you perfectly. I've got somebody who loves you unconditionally. And every now and then he'll give you such peace and joy and love that all you can say is heaven must be like this. So Freddie Haynes, how does that thing work? How does it work? How does it work? It works like this and I'm done. Text says, number one, it starts with a prayer request because we can't forget that this occurs in the context of prayer. I love this. And since it occurs in the context of prayer, we have to be tuned into the reality that whenever we experience injustice on earth, we can appeal to a higher court.
1:11:51 Okay, all right. I know I got some judges in here. I thought y'all would at least get with me on this. I'm simply saying when you experience injustice down here, prayer says appeal to a higher court. Okay, Judge Purdy, we trying to get you in so you can become, you can be on the, you can be on the Supreme Court eventually, But in the meantime, you got to get to the appellate court. And I'm simply trying to say in the appellate court, watch this. A ruling doesn't go well down here. Then you file an appeal. Okay. All right. Judge Purdy, I thought you would shout. So let me talk to Judge Kelly. I'm simply trying to say that whenever stuff doesn't go right on a lower level, you can appeal to a higher court. and that higher court can overturn what happened on the lower level. You better preach Freddie Haynes.
1:12:46 And all I'm trying to say in life, it's going to be unfair. Some stuff is going to be unjust. But prayer will give you power to overturn what happens on the lower level down here. Okay, okay. You think I made that up? You think I made that up? Peter is thrown in jail. Read Acts chapter 12. And the book says, and the church went down in prayer. He's on death row scheduled to have his head chopped off the next day. But the church prayed. And when the church prayed, the book lets us know that God dispatched an angel. And the angel set Peter free. Because the church, watch this, saw that they lost on a lower level. And they appealed to the highest court there is. And God overturned that thing. May I help somebody right now?
1:13:40 God is still in the overturning business. Joseph will tell you they meant it for evil, but God meant it for good. God will overturn some stuff so that no weapon formed against you shall prosper. God will overturn. Anybody ever had God overturn something? You got fired from a job only to get a better job? Because God overturned that thing. Yeah. Oh man, listen, I read this. I got to give y'all this. Any of y'all ever heard of Robert Smalls? Robert Smalls. Elisa, you'd love Robert Smalls. Elisa was a bad sister. Robert Smalls, watch this, bad brother. This is 1862. Charleston, South Carolina. Slavery's going on, so is the Civil War. Robert Smalls had so studied how the captain of this ship handled the ship he studied and memorized what the captain did and in May of 1862 he got on his knees and he's prayed God just as you freed the Israelites from enslavement in Egypt I'm counting on you to free us tonight and y'all you know what happened he told his wife I'm gonna pick you up at the second stop. And if we get caught, here's the deal. We're going to jump in the sea because there's no need of us living if we're going to live as slaves. We're either going to be free or we're going to die because we're already internally free. Robert Smalls, watch this, all of a sudden is told he's on the ship and all of the white crew members and the captain, because it's three o'clock in the morning, they decide, you know what, we're going to go ahead and go on shore and let y'all handle it.
1:15:36 And so they go on shore and Robert Smalls says, all right, soon as they on shore, we out of here. And y'all, he began to command the ship. And the next thing you know, they passed one checkpoint and he gave the signal that he had memorized. He passed a second checkpoint, picked up his wife and family, passed a third checkpoint, came to Fort Sumter, gave the signal because he's wearing the captain's uniform and hat. And then y'all, he ended up taking that ship to the Union Army. And the Union Army said, how did you capture this ship? He said, because I memorized what the captain did. And more than that, I talked to God before I took the ship. And God brought us safely here. And y'all, two years later, he's elected to, no, two years later, He buys the home that was owned by his slave master.
1:16:33 And then three years later, he's elected to Congress. So I hope y'all get this. He went from being a captive to being the captain. And then he conquered and ended up in Congress. I'm trying to let you know, when you put your hand in God's hands, God will take your places. God will bless you to overcome impossible odds. But you got to pray. You got to pray. Check this out. I know it's football season and it's a rough time. It's a rough time, football season. I really feel for y'all. It's a rough time. And so, what I do, I ain't going to lie, I watch college football and high school games because pros, my God, that's just sad. And then you got NFL. NFL is real, real, I mean, they trifling.
1:17:27 And I mean, how are you going to let a quarterback board a plane with a blood clot? Because you don't care nothing about the players except the money that you make off of them. And that's hell. And that's where you're going. But I can't even spend my time on that. Because what happened, y'all, I was watching this college game yesterday while I was getting my beard trimmed. Or Friday, I'm getting my beard trimmed. And they're showing this game. And here's what happened that made me just shout. And that is the announcer said, because the game, watch this, the team that's winning is up by about 30 points. And it's about a minute left to play. And so the announcer says they're getting in victory formation.
1:18:14 Jerrica, victory formation is when the quarterback receives the ball and goes to his knee. Okay, you didn't shout. You didn't shout. Victory formation means the clock is still running. The game ain't over, but we won. and since the game is over and we've already won, though the clock is ticking, we just gonna run the clock out, and what we gonna do, we gonna receive the ball and take a knee, because that's called victory formation. Oh, I thought I had some folks shouting by now. Every time you hit your knees, it's victory formation. Victory formation, what a friend. we have in Jesus.
1:19:08 All our sins and griefs to bear. What a privilege it is to carry everything to God. And oh, what peace we often forfeit. Oh, what needless pain we bear. All because we do not carry everything to God in prayer. You in victory formation. I must tell Jesus, all of my trials, I cannot bear these burdens alone. Anybody want to get in victory formation? The old folk used to sing it like this. Jesus is on the main line. Call him up. Tell him what you want. I'm in victory formation. Meaning I've already won. But I'm on my knees because I'm counting down until the game is over. Victory formation. Weeping may endure for a night. Joy comes in the morning. All things work together for good.
1:20:02 to those that love God and are called according to God's purposes. I got to give you something else. After your, watch this prayer request, text says, I love this, there is a providential revolution. Your kingdom come. Wait, what? The original audience, that's what I want you to hear. Don't hear this through 21st century eyes that have been colored by white Christian nationalism. Hear this through the eyes and ears of an audience that knows that, number one, only Caesar's name was to be hallowed.
1:20:49 Caesar was a trip. Caesar was an egomaniacal narcissist who put his name on everything. just a foe he put his name on everything because evidently mama didn't say his name enough while he was growing up and so because he has his mama issues he takes it out on the world so Donald J. Caesar is is Thank you. Donald J. Caesar put his name on stuff and so you only hallow his name and so when those followers of Jesus heard him say hallowed be God's name that's in contradistinction that's in opposition to the oppressor This is a subversive revolt against the power of the empire.
1:22:01 So you got to be careful when you pray this prayer because you basically are saying, God, you are my ultimate authority. You are the supreme king. I only bow down to you and that means I want your kingdom to come. I want your movement to spread, says Clarence Jordan. I want your kingdom to come. And when your kingdom comes, it's a kingdom characterized by justice. Justice. What is justice? Freddie Haynes described it. Justice is having the back of those whose backs are against the wall. What is justice? Justice is love wiring systems with enoughness. so so so so whatever else god's kingdom is about it's about enoughness it means everybody has enough it's not just the trump epstein billionaire class but everybody has enough it's not about one president making two billion dollars off of the office of the presidency while 140 million Americans are stuck like Chuck in economic insecurity.
1:23:16 I'm telling somebody right now that it is a system wired by love for enoughness. Okay, okay. I've done this before. I thought y'all would get it by now because Jesus in the end is going to judge nations. Read Matthew 25. And he's going to separate the sheep from the goats. United States, go here. China, Russia. I mean, he's going to separate sheep from goats. And then they're going to say, okay, what's the criteria? And I was hungry. And you passed a big ugly deal and cut snap benefits. I was thirsty. And you had toxic water. In Sand Branch, you had toxic water. In Jackson, you had toxic water.
1:24:10 in Flint, Michigan. I was a stranger and you turned ice into the new KKK and created terror on the streets for those who are people of color while welcoming white South Africaners. I was in prison because of the criminality of your prison industrial complex. You can go to hell. America's going to say, when did we do this? In as much as you did it to the least of these, you're also doing it unto me. It's got to be about enoughness.
1:24:45 Enoughness. Enoughness. Oh my God, I got to quit. Here's the last thing and I'm done. Text finally says this, and that is beyond the prayer request and the providential revolution, God is about revolution. I mean, I could just stay there all day because you can't read scripture without seeing God go to the back of the line to upgrade the downtrodden. You can't see scripture without seeing God in Exodus saying, you know what? I'm going to let my people go from the grip of oppression in Pharaoh's Egypt. You can't see God. You can't see, read the Bible without seeing God going to an aging couple in Genesis and saying, I know y'all are up there in age. I don't have Viagra loose on the market right now. On top of that, I don't have anything to deal with. menopause and post menopause so here's what I'm gonna do I'm gonna hook you up anyhow and the book says an old couple ends up giving birth and then God says in the meantime I'm gonna show you what I can do and meet a woman in the wilderness named Hagar and tell Hagar I'm gonna bless Isaac but I'm also gonna bless Ishmael because I'm a God of enoughness that is revolution God is a revolutionary God. And so God, when his child is born, God says, I don't want you born in a castle in Cairo or a palace in Rome. You're going to be born unhoused because I'm in solidarity with the unhoused. And I'm always on the side of those victimized by genocide.
1:26:36 If it is in the Congo as children are being exploited, if it is in Sudan, if it is in Haiti, if it is in Gaza and Palestine, I am a God who shows up on the side of the victims of genocide. He grows up in the hood, ministers to those on the margins, leads a march on Jerusalem, gets lynched on a cross on Friday. But early Sunday morning, God raised him from the dead. Here it is. I know why you didn't shout.
1:27:24 The Greek word, this is going to get you, for resurrection. Because I always wondered, in a black church, oh my God, if you preach in a horrible sermon Go to the cross. You say, one Friday.

Stay there all night Saturday, but early. early early Sunday morning and watch this watch this in a black church they do what y'all just did go in and now I know why because the root word the root for the word resurrection in Greek is rebellion. All right. Right. Right. Right.
1:28:38 Meaning when Jesus got lynched by Rome on the cross and got up on Sunday, it was an overturning of the lower court. All right. All right. I got to quit. Let me quit. Here's the last one.
