I Gotta Stop Messing with Them

00 Brace yourself and buckle up. You are about to hear a life-changing, history-making, world-defining message from the New Birth Podcast. Tell everybody you know, things will never be the same. Judges 16 verse 15 through 17.

23 Once you found it, once you say, I got it. then she said to him how can you say I love you when you won't confide in me this is the third time you made a fool of me and you have told me the secret of your great strength with such nagging she prodded him day after day until he was sick to death not from cancer but from a woman nagging I'm reading the Bible. I done lost half of my crowd. You may be seated.

19 You may be seated in the presence of the Lord. I already told y'all to pray for me. I want to preach today using as a subject, I gotta stop messing with them. I gotta stop messing with them.

49 At the risk of who you sitting beside. Would you just tap the person in front of you and tell them you gotta hear this. You gotta hear this. I gotta stop messing with them. Spray starched into my early childhood memories is the diminishing of my father's former assistant pastor. He was diagnosed early with diabetes and admonished by his doctors to change his diet. because he didn't his left foot was amputated and he had to rely on a cane undeterred he kept consuming donuts dr pepper doritos until they were left with no choice but to amputate his right foot down.

05 it didn't take long before he was bound to a wheelchair because most of his lower torso had been severed off it wasn't rocket science or Chinese math to calculate what went awry they told him what was wrong and then advised him on how to make it right but oddly enough he couldn't give up licorice to save his own life far too many times we let our taste override our common sense and we are left emotionally broken from having to pay the price do you know how hard it is to break a bad habit even when you know it ain't good for you psychologists have pinned as the primary factor cognitive dissonance which is a phenomenon that occurs within an individual's actions their conflicts with their own beliefs their values and their goals it is the collision of knowing you want to lose weight for the summer but can't find time to exercise.

48 the snare that often entraps us is rationalizing the behavior instead of making the necessary adjustments like getting up earlier park in the car further so you can walk not eating after seven o'clock. Stop making excuses and start making an exit strategy. 1 Corinthians 10 and 13 says, No temptation has overtaken you except which is common. And God is faithful. He will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way of escape.

46 on the back of every hotel door is a diagram that pinpoints you are here they show you that diagram so in the case of an emergency you know how to get out of there i want every person of you just lift up that right hand no matter where you're seated no matter where you are positioned. I need you to hear the voice of God. You are here. And before 12 midnight, he's going to show you how to get out of something. Somebody ought to be clapping for that. The difficulty of navigating a toxic cycle can be seen in Samson, who was born anointed and died in disgrace.

51 It all started, his unraveling did, when he paid for a prostitute rather than finding a woman to invest in. He put, I want you to write this down, he put dopamines over destiny. Your anointing is too expensive for cheap thrills. if they don't have a portfolio of prayer stock in the holy spirit and don't make deposits into your dreams it is a setup for you to end up emotionally bankrupt soon after the incident with the prostitute he runs into a dame named delilah and he didn't realize as many of you have not that demons have different disguises even when they have the same spirit all prostitutes are not in brothels they're not on street corners but they can all be bought When Samson's enemies wanted him overtaken, they went to her and made an offer of 1,100 pieces of silver.

19 Hear this, a piece. Five different rulers said each of us will give you 1,100 pieces of silver only if you find out Samson's secrets. 110 days worth of pay is 1100 pieces of silver. So multiply that by five. Delilah, if she was able to pull this off, would not have to work for three years. I want you to do the math on it. they offered Delilah 1100 pieces of silver but they only offered Joseph 20 pieces of silver because that's the going price for a slave his age I'm a week after Easter for Jesus they only offered Judas 30 pieces of silver because that was the price of a slave Jesus his age but for Samson they offered 1100 pieces of silver they said we don't care what the price is we want to find out what it will cost you for you to lose your strength do you know how many people are investing in your breakdown they want to see what it is going to take for you to lose your mind, for you to give up your faith, for you to walk up from God, for you to wave the white flag and they cannot believe after all that you have endured, you still won't sell out your commitment to God.

12 I cannot tell you how proud I was of Shador Sanders after he was not drafted in the first round. He said, I still trust God. And there's some of you got to have that same level of resolve. Things didn't go my way the first time away. First time around, things did not line up as I anticipated. But I still trust God. and people who are watching you dance a minute ago, shout a minute ago, yell a minute ago, run a minute ago, they think everything in your life is together. They got no idea I'm falling apart, but I still trust God. Things are not going well for me, but I still trust God. I'm already anxious about May's bills, but I still trust God. I'm so glad that Harvard University and 400 other universities have decided not to sell out.

18 I'm so glad that the Marriott hotels said that they will not bow down to this administration. I'm so glad that Disney has not, in fact, thrown its reputation away. I'm so glad that Levi Shroud's gene company said that they are not going to blow to the waves of Elon Musk and J.D. Vance. I'm so glad that they're still standing ten toes down. Target, if you listening, don't play yourself. You still got an opportunity to not sell out. 1,100 pieces of silver is what it is that Delilah went into contract with in order for Samson to give his secret sauce. Delilah was trying to hit a lick.

15 She said, this is my come up. The whole hood going to eat off of this one. There are people who are depending on your demise for their elevation. They think if they can break you, it's going to make them. I got bad news for all of your haters. God said, touch not my anointed and do my servant no harm. And so she immediately began plotting to set him up. She immediately started conniving with his adversaries. She enlisted scoundrels to tie him up. And they tied him up, the Bible says, in bands. And as soon as they tied him up, I need you to know that God anointed Samson with strength to break out of it.

18 I want you to take that neighbor by the hand, please. I need you to take that neighbor by the hand. Just do it real quick. Don't even think about it. Take that neighbor by the hand, and I want you to...
