Scripture reading: 2 Kings 5:10-16
10Then Elisha sent him a messenger, who said, “Go and wash yourself seven times in the Jordan, and your flesh will be restored, and you will be clean.” 11But Naaman went away angry, saying, “I thought that he would surely come out, stand and call on the name of the LORD his God, and wave his hand over the spot to cure my leprosy. 12Are not the Abanah and Pharpar, the rivers of Damascus, better than all the waters of Israel? Could I not have washed in them and been cleansed?” So he turned and went away in a rage. 13Naaman’s servants, however, approached him and said, “My father, if the prophet had told you to do some great thing, would you not have done it? How much more, then, when he tells you, ‘Wash and be cleansed’?” 14So Naaman went down and dipped himself in the Jordan seven times, according to the word of the man of God, and his flesh was restored and became like that of a little child, and he was clean. 15Then Naaman and all his attendants went back to the man of God, stood before him, and declared, “Now I know for sure that there is no God in all the earth except in Israel. So please accept a gift from your servant.” 16But Elisha replied, “As surely as the LORD lives, before whom I stand, I will not accept it.” And although Naaman urged him to accept it, he refused.

Let's go right into the service. Record it at Free Chapel. I believe it's going to bless you today. 2 Kings chapter 5. I'll begin reading with verse 10. And Elisha sent a messenger to him saying, Go and wash in the Jordan seven times and your flesh shall be restored and you shall be clean. Naaman became furious and went away and said, But indeed I said to myself, he shall surely come out to me and stand and call on the name of the Lord of his God. This is preconceived ideas of when you come to church, what God's supposed to do.

1:03 And God says, I ain't doing none of that. I'm not doing it your way. I'm not going to do it like you and your mind say I have to do it. I am, I don't, my ways are not your ways. but this is a man who's dying and needs help but he's going to tell God how he's supposed to do it call on the name of the Lord his God, wave his hand and swoon you know, act like a healing evangelist or something and get out here and his hand over the place of my wounds and heal the leprosy he wants me to go jump in the river and dip seven times and I'll stop reading other than to say verse 13 and the servant came near and spoke to him and said my father if the prophet would have told you to do something great would you not have done it how much more then when he says to you wash and be clean so the man went down and dipped seven times in the Jordan according to the saying of the man of God and his flesh was restored like the flesh of a little child.

2:13 It means no wrinkles, no spots, perfect. And he was clean. Now here's what I'm preaching on and focusing on all this. But he returned to the man of God with his aides and came and stood before him and said, Indeed, now I know there is a God in all the earth. There's no God except in Israel. Now, therefore, please take all these gifts from your servant. But he said, as the Lord lives before whom I stand, this is Elisha, I will receive nothing. And he urged him to take it, but he refused. Naaman said, then if not, please let your servant take two mule loads of dirt of earth from Israel for your servant will no longer offer either burnt offerings and sacrifices to other gods, but to the Lord. And he goes on to describe something that I'll talk about. So I'm preaching today on the incredible power of obeying God, the power of obedience, the power of pleasing God when you don't think it's that big of a deal, but God watches these things when he tells us something so clearly, he watches our spirit.

3:44 And I'm going to ask you to just really get still and quiet and lean in for the next few moments. Naaman was the commander of the army of Syria and he was a powerful man. The chapter begins by saying he was a great man and if the Bible says somebody is great, then they're great. And he was great in power and influence and yet he was a leper. The leprosy was not completely manifested yet and the laws of leprosy were different from Israel. Israel, if you were a leper, you could not be among people. But in Syria, they did not have the same laws. So this man was a great man, and he goes. And he goes on an expedition with his Syrian soldiers, and they capture some of the homes in Israel, and they raid them, and they burn the homes down, and they slay the people and they keep some of the people as their slaves.

4:52 And one little girl that he captured, he brought back and he put her in the home for it to be a servant for his wife, this man with leprosy. He made her the servant of his wife. And one day when I get to heaven, I hope I meet this girl because she is remarkable. She is incredible. She is someone who... exhibits forgiveness because can you imagine watching your parents die, watching your home burned and being put into slavery, serving the man's wife, doing whatever she needs. One day while she's doing the laundry or whatever she was doing that particular day, she speaks up and she says, I hate to see my master Naaman dying of leprosy.

5:52 And I wish to God, she said, that he could go to Israel, for there is a prophet there who could heal him. And the woman told her husband, and the man assembled his great entourage and his mighty warriors, and he rode into the nation of Israel and went to the house where the prophet Elisha lived, and he knew he was there. And when he pulled up into his front yard, I'm sure, and he even said, I had this all preconceived idea in my mind of how this would all roll out, that he would come out and he would make a big deal about me being here and how powerful I was and how honored he is that I'm here. And he just pulls up and they're standing, and it's obvious they're making so much noise with the entourage. The prophet knows he's outside.

6:46 outside. Somebody powerful is at his house, but it does not matter. The prophet does not come out. And he looks around and he says, well, what is going on here? Can somebody honk your horse to do something? We need to get the attention of this prophet. So one of the men goes up and knocks on the door and out steps a servant. His name was Gehazi. And he said, can I help you? And He said, I'm Naaman. I'm captain of the army of Syria. And he said, yeah, I know who you are. The prophet told me he's inside. He doesn't want to talk to you. He just told me to tell you to go down to the Jordan River. And I don't care how you do it. I'm going to tell this in story form and give a few details that aren't in the Bible. But I'm staying true to the story. Hold your nose and go under seven times.

7:41 and you'll be healed and your skin will be as clean and as pure and as soft and as perfect as a newborn baby. And he was furious, your Bible said. And he got on his horse and he peeled out of that parking lot like a lot of people do when they come to a church like this that they don't want to come but some relative kidnaps them and drags them in here and they don't want to be here. And then sure enough, they come in and I say something that they don't like. And he's not the last one to peel out of a church parking lot and say, I'm never going back. I could almost hear Naaman in my mind saying, you bunch of redneck, hillbilly, country bumpkin, tongue talking, all anointing, crazy, Pentecostal, praying in the spirit, idiots. I knew I should have never came down here in the first place.

8:43 He rides off and beats that horse. And finally, they say, we need to water the horses. And they're watering the horses somewhere in the Jordan River. And one of the servants who had the most influence, one of his lieutenants, walks up to him and says, Sir, can I ask you a question? He said, what? He said, you're a great man. If he had asked you to do something great, if he had asked you to kill seven lions, or if he had asked you to go out and go invade Philistine area and kill a mighty giant, you would have done it. He said, that's right. I would have done it. I'm a great man and only do great things.

9:36 Can you believe how he insulted me? He said, sir, can I ask you one more question? What? What have you got to lose? You're dying. You've got the best money can buy. You're great. You're wealthy. You're famous. But you're dying. You're going to die. What have you got to lose? There's the water. That's the Jordan. Get in it. hold your nose and go under. And it smote his heart. I think it's all about pride. I think he had his mighty men and they didn't believe in the God of Israel. He was nothing to them. But Naaman slips off of that horse and he wades out into that water and he holds his nose and he goes under completely submerged and comes up one time he dips.

10:35 but it was more than one dip in that process. It was him humbling himself and his men are looking and some of them are probably laughing or they're afraid to laugh but they're turning their heads and they cannot believe what they're seeing but he goes down three times, four times and every time he goes down, it's more and more of humbling himself, humbling. You see, God cannot resist someone who humbles themselves When you peel out of a parking lot, when you go around like you, you are a leper. Nobody can help you but Jesus. And until you come to that realization, and he goes down six times and nothing has changed. But I believe when he dipped that seventh time now, he's feeling something. Something is happening to him.

11:28 He can feel God's presence. And when he comes up out of that river, he had taken his shirt off. And his hands are beautiful. The sores are gone. His chest, his body has completely restored. His skin is soft and perfect, flawless. And then he turns and he looks and the servant screams, you're healed. Your face is healed. You're restored. And he is out of his mind with joy. Oh, my God, I've got to go back. I've got to go back to that prophet's house. And he makes his way back with his entourage. And this time the prophet is standing out on the porch. And he says, please, please, I'm so thankful. I'm so moved at what your God has done for me. I know that there's only one God, and it is the God that is in Israel.

12:23 And I just want to thank you. And so I brought all of these sacks of silver. I brought it for you. And I brought garments, the best that we have to offer in Syria. I want to give them to you, man of God, to say thank you for the massive miracle part that you played in my life. Thank you. And the prophet said, I appreciate that. I don't mean to insult you, but I cannot. See, I believe he had been, I know, he had been checked in his heart. Don't you take it. Don't you take a penny from him. Don't you receive anything he offers you. I don't care how great it is. Now, this is what I'm preaching about. The power of obedience. When God checks you, when God says no. I don't care how good it looks.

13:18 I don't care how you could rationalize and say it would be totally acceptable. It wasn't an evil gift. It was something that God was testing his prophet about. And he said, I thank you, but no. And the Bible said he urged him. Even after he said no, he urged him to take it, but he refused. Then right before Naaman's leaving, he says, well, can I ask you for one other thing? And he said, you can ask. He said, can I take two bags full of Israeli dirt, two bags of mud from the bank of Jordan? Can I take it back to Syria? Because when I get back, the king leans on me. I'm his most trusted servant, and he likes to worship the god Remen. This is all in this chapter.

14:13 And he goes to the temple, and I have to go with him, and I'm his personal assistant. and he's an elderly man, and when he kneels down on his knees, I have to go with him. But I can never kneel my knee to that God again when I had the God of Israel heal me like he has healed me. So listen to this plan. So he said, I want to take Israeli dirt, and I want to take it into the temple of Rehman, and I want to put it at the altar so that when we kneel, we're kneeling, he's kneeling to his God, but I'm kneeling to the God of Israel. I'm on holy ground. I'm on Israeli soul. The God of Israel healed me, and he's the only God I will worship. And the prophet said, go in peace. Sounds like a good plan. I'd just like to say, I don't care how, what kind of situations you walk into, you can go in there and make it holy ground when you're honoring Jesus and lifting him up.

15:13 Now the story changes here. This is where we picked up the reading. I didn't have time to read it all, but this is where everything changes. So off rides, Naaman with his life, baby skin, beautiful skin, and it ought to end that way. The prophet said, I cannot take it.

15:36 But Gehazi, the servant, is standing back and he sees him turn down all that money and all that wealth. And it gets a hold of him. And when the prophet goes back in the house, he comes up with a scheme and he gets on his horse and he chases after Naaman. And when Naaman sees him coming, Naaman says, Is it well with you? Is it well with the prophet? I'm so thankful that man changed my life. and Gehazi said, yeah, everything's good, but the prophet sent me because we had two surprise guests. We had two of the sons of the prophets just show up unannounced. And you know, the prophet got to thinking about it. He's making all this up. The prophet got to thinking about it and he thought it would be good. I won't, the prophet didn't want to take it for himself, but if you could give two pieces of silver and you could give two of those garments, he would love to send those guys back to the prophets that they work with and give them that gift because they have some financial needs. And Naaman was thrilled to do it. He said, take it all. And he said, oh no, no, just two coins, two silver coins and two garments. I'll make sure they get it.

16:59 he took it for himself and he rides on off and the servant hides it in the barn and then goes in the home where Elisha is and Elisha is sitting in his rocking chair and he says where have you been? and he said well I've been here and there nowhere special and he said did not my heart go with you?

17:24 and then he asked this powerful question He said, is it a time? Is it a time to receive money and receive clothing and olive growth? See, he had enough money. Those two pieces of silver back in that economy was enough to do all of this. Vineyards and sheep and oxen and servants. Therefore, the leprosy of Naaman shall cling unto you and unto your seed forever. All of the sudden, Gehazi becomes a leper. And I could see him as he's clutching that bag of silver. And he's grabbing those garments. All he has, but at least he had enough wealth in his mind. I have taken care of myself. I can retire in peace. I can live the rest of my life, ever how long it is.

18:19 And I know me and my family will have enough money. I'm trusting in money. I'm not trusting in God. I'm trusting in money. I'm doing it my way. And he takes that money and he leaves. And that's the end of the story. We don't hear anything about Gehazi until you move three chapters over into 2 Kings 8. And in 2 Kings 8, it opens up with the king of Israel calling seven years later Gehazi, the servant who had leprosy, who took the money when he shouldn't have taken the money and lied about it. And he comes into the presence by the invite of the king of Israel at a distance because the king said, I have heard these stories about the prophet Elisha and I've never met him. And I heard you used to be a servant.

19:19 Tell me the stories of miracles you saw. Now watch this. Stay with me. and your Bible said in the same chapter, in 2 Kings 8, that while he was speaking, he started telling the story. I could almost see Gehazi. I'm sure he wore that Syrian garment. It was worthy of being in a king. That's about all money can do for you. At some point, it doesn't answer the spiritual need, And he's just looking and he starts telling the story. He said, I'll tell you one of the greatest miracles these eyes have ever seen. I'll never forget when there was a woman just lived right over here, King, right here in Israel. She lived right over there and named the place where it was. And she had a husband and she had vineyards and she had a beautiful home.

20:14 And they had fields and they were working in the field. and the son died and the dad ran and put the child in the arms of the mother and the mother put it in the bed and she ran after the prophet Elisha. And first, when she got there, the prophet told me, this is Gehazi, to take his staff and lay it on that child and the child would be healed. And he said, and I took it. I did what the prophet said and I laid the staff on the child, but the child was as dead as it could be. You know why? Because he wasn't right. So he said, so we had to go back and the woman said, prophet, come pray for my child. And the prophet came and I could just see Gehazi telling this story. He said, oh my God, I'll never forget it because when he won't be in the child had been dead for hours and hours and hours and he was cold and lifeless. But the prophet did something strange. He laid, he put his hands and laid down on top of the child and he stretched. And then he put his mouth on his mouth and he breathed. And when he did, nothing happened. He got up and he walked the floor and he prayed. And then he did it again. And then he did it three times. And by the time he did it the third time, while he was doing it, all of a sudden, the boy started sneezing. The dead boy started, achoo, achoo. He sneezed seven times. Achoo, achoo, achoo achoo and on the seventh sneeze he sat up and said I'm hungry give me some food Now here's the miracle of this story.

21:56 This is seven years later. While Gehazi is telling the king, and the king is sitting on the edge of his throne, saying that's amazing, a woman screams out from the crowd, Give me my land back. Give me my home back. The Bible said she cried out to the king because she had gone to the land of the Philistines for seven years because the prophet wondered that a famine was coming and to keep her family alive, stay there, but then come back. And now at the very moment that Gehazi is telling her story, Gehazi turns when he hears the voice and he says, that's the woman and that's her son. That's the one. And the king goes berserk.

22:49 He says, bring them in, bring them in. And he says, I make a royal command and decree that this woman be given her farm back, be given her home back. And by the way, since she missed the harvest for seven seasons, give her seven years of increase from the field. Seven times what she lost. Restore it all. Oh, clap your hands like you believe God can do things that we can't do. And I want you to see this. Gehazi clutched two pieces of silver and two garments. But he's watching a woman who trusted and obeyed God. and she's not just getting through the famine and getting her son resurrected, but she's getting the house back, the farm back, the land back, and seven years of lost harvest, the years the canker worm had taken away, all because she was obeying God.

23:44 And I wonder if he's still clutching that little bag of silver. And in the same chapter, in the same chapter, that story ends. It's almost like a soap opera. Meanwhile, Elisha feels led to go from where he is to Syria. And he goes, just minding what God tells him to do. I'm almost where I want to be and I'll pull it all together, I promise.

24:20 And when he gets there, the king, whose name was Ben-Hadad, was sick of disease and was dying. And when he heard the prophet had come to his town, he said, would you, to his servant Hazel, he said, would you please go to that prophet? I think the story of Naaman, the testimony of Naaman had reached him. And he knew he was dying. And he said, if he could do it then, he can do it now. Get that prophet. And listen to what he said. Now help me with it. He said, take a present. Take a present. Watch this now. Watch, watch, watch, watch. Take a present in your hand. This is the king, Dehazel. Take a present in your hand and go meet the man of God and inquire of the Lord by him, saying, shall I recover from this disease? So Hazel, uh-uh, uh-uh, go back.

25:14 So Hazel went to meet him and took a present with him, notice the wording, of every good thing of Damascus, 40 camel loads. We're not talking about a little bag of silver here. And I can't help but think of the Bible verse, he will withhold no good thing.

25:39 From them who walk uprightly. And nowhere do you read for a reason that the prophet did not receive the 40 camel loads. There's a time to receive and there's a time to give. There's a time to sow. There's a time to reap. There's a time to obey and look like you're going without. But there's also a time when the blessing comes in, pressed down, shaken together, running over when God says, I am the God that does exceedingly, abundantly, above all that you could ask. And here's the miracle of this story. So, so he asked this guy, he says, did he, did he, you can take it off now. I'm good.

26:33 Did he did what about the king? Will he live or will he die? The prophet said he will recover from this disease. And then something strange happens. The spirit comes over. I love the wording of it. I read it over and over this week. And it said he began to stare. Maybe you can find this. the prophet began to stare at that man, the servant Hazel. He began to look at his countenance in such a way he was staring into his spirit. And it said it made him feel uncomfortable. This verse is there. I promise it's there. And he said it made him feel uncomfortable. And he said, why are you looking at me like that? And why are you so disturbed?

27:26 Let me read it to you. He set his countenance in a stare until he was ashamed and the man of God started to weep. And he said, why are you weeping, man of God? And he said, because God just showed me what you're going to do to Israel. You will slaughter the men and the women and the children of Israel. I see it. You will do this. And the man said, who am I to do that? I'm a servant. Am I a dog? How in the world can you say that about me? And he said, God just showed me that you will be king of Syria. and the man backed up. He left all that wealth and all those 40 camel loads with that prophet, and he got out of there, and he went back, and the king was waiting, and he walks into the king, and the king said, what did he say, what did he say?

28:23 He said, king, he said, you're going to recover from the disease. Oh, my God. I'm going to be all right. He didn't tell him the other part because he said he'll recover from the disease, but he will surely die. And here's why. That evil man, Hazel, thought about the fact that God had said he would be king of Israel, and he was the only one who had access to the king while he was sick. And so there was nobody really checking up on him. And his mind, can you see him that night? It took 24 hours. And the next day, after he tossed and turned, he got to thinking, now I can wait 30 years on this to happen, like God said, or I can speed this process up. He's already sick, and everybody doesn't expect him to recover. So why don't I just go see him in the morning?

29:18 He walks in, and your Bible said he took a thick cloth, a thick cloth, and wet it, and put it on his face, and smothered him to death, and told everybody the king passed away last night and he became king of Israel. And here's what I want you to see.

29:43 Here is. the prophet Elisha coming back from Syria. and he said to Gehazi, is this a time to be receiving gifts? he said that years ago and he refused the gift but this time he receives the gifts and he's got 40 camel loads of gold and silver and rubies and diamonds and garments and wine and meat and food, enough to buy anything he would ever want. And it's such a big deal that all of Israel is lining the streets. Look at what he's bringing back from our enemy, the Syrians.

30:40 Look at the wealth. Look at the four. And if you've got 40 camels, you can't handle 40 camels. We have to put three or four people around here when they come down the aisles for our Christmas deal. I mean, one can do a lot of damage. Forty, that's crazy. You've got to have 40 servants. And if you've got 40, if you've got all that gold, you need, the Bible even said he sent his soldiers to watch over and guard. So I want you to see it. A parade of blessing. Elisha is coming in and it is unbelievable. The riches, if you honor the Lord, he'll open the windows of heaven and pour you out a blessing. Make you the head and not the tail above. And here he comes with 40 camels of blessings upon blessings upon blessings upon blessings.

31:37 And I could see Gehazi in my mind as what is the commotion? Why is everybody lining up in the streets? And he walks out in his garment in his little bag of silver. And the thought hits him. Oh, my God. If I had just been faithful, if I'd just been obedient, if I'd just been right in the eyes of God and trusted God and obeyed God, wonder what Elisha would have rewarded me with out of this. the only thing worse than that is I wonder how many people are clinging to things that will not matter,

32:27 holding on to stuff that one day, 30 seconds after you die, and you stand in the presence of God, all the material things of this world will be like a little two-bagged, bagged two talent, bagged silver, nothing, candy. I asked them to get me some candy. I got some candy coins. All you will have. The Bible even said when the rich man said, I'll build bigger barns and I'll amass more fortune. And then the question comes, throw it up. he thought to himself, what shall I do? I have no more room to store my stuff. I mean, my closet's so full, I got stuff. This is what he's saying.

33:18 I got stuff I hadn't even took the tags off of. I've got shoes that I hadn't even, I am so, I gotta get more closet space. I gotta have more. I got cars, I can't drive them all. I gotta have, I need to enlarge my garage and get me 14 more cars. And I got this and I got that. I'll store all my crops and my goods. I'll build bigger. I'll build greater. Take your ease. I'll say to myself. He's doing all the talking. I'll say, notice, I'll say to myself, I'll say to myself, you eat, you drink, you're so diverse. I mean, if the stock market crashes, you got real estate. If the real estate crashes, you have it all. So I'll say to myself, eat, drink, be merry. Now another person's fixing to speak. Thank you. Oh, you don't know what I... But God said to him, fool, this night, your soul will, and I love this part, will be required of you.

34:20 Just remember this. Just remember this. Then, here's the question. Whose will all these things be? you know that car, it ain't your car. God's letting you use it. As soon as you die, somebody else is going to get it. You know that house? You call it my house. It ain't your house. God's been so good to you, he just lets you live in it. And when you're done, somebody else is going to get it. And you know that land, that's your land. You know all that stuff you have, all of it, watch, whatever. God doesn't mind that stuff. But he doesn't like for us to put money over God. It's got to be God over money. I'm preaching better than y'all letting on right now He said, whose will all these things be? So is he.

35:16 Listen to these words. So is he who lays up treasure for himself. This is the thing that haunts me. And is not rich toward God. It's all about me. It's all about mine. I'll clutch it. It's mine. It's mine. and 15 seconds after you die, it's all left behind. and the question is, are you rich toward God?

35:52 How do you get rich toward God? Seek first. Seek first. Matthew 6. Seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness and all of these things. You know, if you get this out in the sunshine, it'll melt. And that's all material things are. In the light of his glory, they'll just melt and be nothing.

36:30 Elon Musk and all of his wealth will be nothing. Donald Trump and all of his wealth, when he gets in the presence of God, it will be like candy money, worthless. and so is the one who accumulates and accumulates and accumulates and is not rich. This is why, that's just what haunts me, even for this church. We are so blessed that I'm scared.

37:06 I'm scared. What are we doing with what God has given us? God, please, please, please, please, please show us what to do. Please, please, please, please help us. Please, please, please. because when God tells you to do something and you don't do it and you choose your way over God's way like Gehazi did, guess what? You just, when God asks you for a seed, he has a harvest on his mind. He was thinking of the 40 camel loads for Gehazi, but Gehazi was gripping that candy money real tight. isn't that something so I just came by to tell you I have never seen the righteous forsaken or his seed begging for bread. And when you obey God on this side, God releases the camels of blessing on this side.

38:06 And what will come into your life? I'm telling you, and I told them in the first service, we've had several times where the Lord checked my spirit and checked Sharice's spirit, and people wanted and tried to do something. and needed to do something because of some situations. And the Lord said, don't take it. On one occasion, we had someone who sent us a check to make something right. And they're a great person. and it was a check that was for over a half million dollars and this was 30 years ago 30 years ago we needed it i don't care how who you are that's a lot of money and the lord spoke to me and i said god why won't you let me accept that i felt that check He said, don't you touch it.

39:15 Now, then I had to convince my wife. And you know what happened? You know what happened? We were discussing it. And she said, I'm just going to ask the Lord. And she said, I'm going to do, it's called spiritual Russian roulette. I'm going to open the Bible and let's see if God says anything. and she opened the Bible.

39:41 And what did it say, Cherise? It said to the very verse, her mouth flew open, her eyes got big, and it said, do not, the verse said, do not take thee money. I turned to her and I said, out of all the years of me hearing from God, why do you have to get your word right now? This literally happened. We were astounded. We were astonished in our kitchen. We looked at each other and then we got teary eyed because I knew in my heart if you don't take this, God down the road will restore it seven fold if you'll let him.

40:29 I'm so glad because it would have been wrong in a lot of areas, in a lot of ways, it would have been wrong for me to do that. It's God over money, not money over God. And I can tell you today, because of books and because of this church and the way it's taken care of us and because of wise investments that God's helped us,

40:58 I'm so thankful to God that when he spoke to us and said, let it go, it's just candy money anyhow. Let it go. because his plan was so much greater than anything this country boy from North Carolina could have ever imagined for me and my family.

41:25 Seek first, say it with me. Seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness and his righteousness. doing what's right. And all these things will be added unto you. Can you raise your hands and can you worship God with me just a moment and thank him for his goodness? Can you thank him for everything that he has blessed you with? Can you thank him for his plan is great in your future? Can you thank him? I know some of you are giving and you're doing things and you think it doesn't make a difference, but I'm telling you, God sees every act of obedience and he says, I can trust them.

42:24 I can trust them. I can trust them. and what a mighty God we serve when he blesses you when he favors you when he opens the windows of heaven it will astound you at his goodness I'm going to ask you to stand no one moving in and out and I just feel like we ought to take a moment if there's some young people here if there's some kids here this would be a good Sunday to come down to the altar and get some candy amen but because I made a mess up here but what about you What about you? Are you rich toward God? The only thing that will make you rich toward God is what you do for others.

43:21 Are you rich in winning souls? Are you rich in helping the poor? That's why we give so much. We sent another check this week, $50,000 to a church up in Asheville, North Carolina, and $100,000. Where did we send $100,000? We sent $100,000 to somebody. We got to get it out of here. I want to be rich toward God. I really feel the pressure about it. Do you ever feel that? Do you ever feel God stirring you? Do you ever have God check you about your... Are you even open to that? This is what Christianity is all about, obedience.

44:10 So lift your hands right here, right now, and just say, get your communion sets ready. Don't guess you can raise your hand and get your communion ready. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Can we praise the Lord for about 15 seconds before we do this? This is the riches of Calvary. This is the 40 camels. This is everything. His blood and His body. He came. He bled. He died. He rose again. This is wealth. And one day, one day when we get to heaven, the things of this world the little pocket change of candy money will mean nothing in a land that has streets of gold and gates of pearl and mansions and unbelievable joy unspeakable and full of glory Don't be a Gehazi.

45:12 but Jesus said this is my body and I told them in the first service it went a totally different way but all I can tell you is what the Lord told me yesterday as I was praying and walking he said very clearly to me in my heart I didn't hear an audible voice but a strong like a move I don't know how to describe it he said while you teach the word tomorrow I will sovereignly, miraculously heal people of disease. I heard him.
