00 Brace yourself and buckle up. You are about to hear a life-changing, history-making, world-defining message from the New Birth Podcast. Tell everybody you know, things will never be the same. bless the lord if you love him come on give him some glory Miss Valentine's weekend, you done told everybody else how you love them. I want us to just take one moment. Would you just lift up that hand and let's just give love and adulation and thanksgiving unto God. Come on, do you love him? You don't sound like you do. I said, do you love him? Does he mean more than life to you?
54 has he been better to you than you've been to yourself come on let's give God some praise right there we love you Jesus that's the Lord I want to ask that you'll take your neighbor by the hand, stretch out even across the aisles. Don't leave anybody untouched. Our eyes are closed. Our heads are bowed. I just called to say I love you.
39 I just called to tell you how much I care. I just called to tell you that I mean it from the bottom of my heart. God, you are more than anything in this world. You are the air we breathe. In you we have our very being. we're grateful because if it were not for your love we would have been gone a long time ago and so we wanted to pause just to tell you thank you because of how good you are to us father in the name of jesus god we thank you for a love that has been reckless towards us a love that has been unrelenting towards us. Your word says that while we were yet sinners, you died for us. And Father, today we tell you thank you. Father, we thank you for a love that covers us, a love that stands strong in us, and a love that reminds us that we are yours.
47 and so today Father we invite you and your love into this place God. We pray Father that we would have a fresh encounter with you today. That love would be renewed. That love would be restored. And most importantly we would return to our first love and that is you. We thank you for your goodness. We thank you for your mercy. We thank you for all that you have been and all you continue you to be to us. It is in Jesus's name that we pray. Amen. Come on, clap your hands if you love our God. Esther, you'll search your scriptures and join us in Acts chapter 2. We celebrate our music ministry. That's done an amazing job today.
44 Thank you. Our musicians. Can you help us salute and celebrate all of the couples of new birth? Come on, give God glory for them. Acts chapter 2. Amen. Some of you all are looking lost. Matthew, Mark, Luke, John. There it is. Acts. Y'all ain't praying. Acts chapter 2.
14 Men, we're going to be reading verses 1, 2, and 3. Ladies, you'll be reading verses 6, 7, and 8. Acts chapter 2. All of our men will be reading verses 1, 2, and 3. Men, come on, let's read it together. When the day of Pentecost came, suddenly a sound like the blowing of a violent wind came from heaven Brothers, we having a rough time already.
57 Ladies, give us some time. This is our first rehearsal. Men, let's start at verse 3 again. Come on. They saw what seemed to be tongues of fire. All right, ladies, we know what to do. Amen. Let's read verse 6 through 8. And the word of the Lord, ladies, reads, When they heard this sound, a crowd came together in bewilderment, because each one heard their own language being spoken. Utterly amazed, they asked, Aren't these... Give your sister a high five.
51 Yeah. Y'all can't read it again. Y'all adjust my microphone. Adjust my microphone. We want to preach today using as a subject, you're not speaking my language. I want all of the men to find a woman near you and look at her and tell her you are not speaking my language sisters after you done rolling your eyes uh-huh i want you to look them dead in the eye make sure you look them right in the eye and tell them truth is i'm not speaking my language bless the lord you may be seated In the presence of the Lord.
45 Hallelujah. The most watched halftime show in NFL history happened last weekend with Bad Bunny being the featured artist. Yes. So impactful was the attraction that over 147 million tuned in from around the world. It's the first time there was ever offered alternative programming as a pushback in protest to the performer. The overwhelming objectors were white evangelicals who silently screamed in indignation because it wasn't done in English, but rather in Spanish. because the majority of Super Bowl viewers are English speaking MAGA zealots thought it only right that the performer adjust the lyrics to their benefit some commentators labeled the performance as un-American even while 15% of the population speak Spanish and ignoring the fact that Puerto Rico is American territory.
18 lord. While the 15-minute performance was in Spanish, what was in English was a banner with the largely printed words, the only thing stronger than hate is love. And those who hate diversity change the channel. My Lord. What's interesting about this is those who hate diversity truly just hate difference. Diversity more than anything should really create opportunities for understanding, even when we can't fully comprehend all that is being shared. The more we live to be compassionate, sensitive, thoughtful, and kind, the less we live to be offended the minute we see something that is different. We live in a time and a culture where different is demonized, disparaged, depreciated. Different is vilified. It can be reviled and slandered. Different is criticized, insulted, and often smeared. We spread lies about what's different. We sully the reputation of what's different. We over-spiritualize and bad-mouth anything we think is different because different is offensive to people who can't control it.
58 And people hate what they cannot control. Imagine being so spiritually anemic that you are offended by everything and can rejoice in nothing. Anything that don't look like you, talk like you, sound like you, dress like you, shout like you, pretend like you, anything different vexes you. And so now what we see more than ever is the spirit of offense, which corrupts our ability to connect and speak the same language. This spirit of offense is rooted in pride and in insecurity. And it acts as a lens causing people to misinterpret situations, harbor unforgiveness, and justify anger. anger. As believers, when we fail to be open to hear and to see the differences in others, we cut off the possibility to witness of the Lord Jesus Christ to people we don't know.
07 We also show our lack of maturity and for some of you, the fragility of your faith. For if having a conversation with someone who believes differently than you would cause you to lose your faith, I would suggest today you never had it in the first place. In the present climate and culture that America finds itself in, the day of Pentecost would have been impossible. They were all in one room, but they had different languages. Ladies and gentlemen, you have to be intentional about hearing somebody else's vantage point and history before you talk about them, you have to talk to them. The fact of the matter is everybody communicates differently.
04 How you communicate to your child should be different than how you communicate with a coworker. How you speak at the bank is much different than how you talk in the barbershop and in the beauty salon. What you say on an interview should be miles apart than how you post on Instagram. Yes. And a lot of relationships fail because instead of learning their loved one's language, they disconnect the cable box and become disengaged. They become disgusted and disingenuous. Look at the person beside you and tell them, you got to listen to my language. Look back at them and tell them, you got to talk to me in my language. because if we are not careful, that spirit will infiltrate our relationships. Yes. Hallelujah. Look at somebody and say, talk to me nicely.
09 Hallelujah. Now, brothers, I don't claim to work for Rosetta Stone. Y'all know where I work at. But today, I want to help teach you the language of the woman in your life. My Lord, help me. Let me start by saying this. Every woman is not the same. Come on, sisters. Her difference is what makes her unique. Why am I sharing this with you? Because she's not your ex. She's not the previous ones you've had or the ones before that. And so how you used to communicate with them is not how you communicate with her. Your ability to learn the language of the woman in your life starts with you studying her difference. You may find often that there are two general styles for women.
13 A style when she feels loved, when she feels spiritually and emotionally safe, When she feels respected, she'll be direct, but she gonna be tender. She's warm and she's gonna be honest. When she's safe, she'll be playful with you. She'll tease and have banter back and forth with you. When she's respected, she'll be emotionally open with you and begin to share her fears, her vulnerabilities and her dreams. She'll be nurturing and affirming. Her nonverbal attributes will show in her body language that it feels good to be around you. Can I tell you that a woman who is safe speaks differently. She moves differently. She engages differently. Now there is another style that she may have when she feels unsafe or indifferent.
12 My lord. She gonna be direct and short. I've seen it. Firm, guarded, emotionally flat at times, cold possibly, withdrawing access from you. She might code switch a little bit. That mean you gonna get corporate carry and not the carry you know at home.
38 hello how are you what is it that I can assist you with today did you receive the email that I sent to you my hours are between nine and five If you would like to contact me, you can go through my assistant. She will be more than happy to help you. Y'all know what I'm talking about. She will be dismissive and uninterested. Don't think you're going to get no banter, no playing around, no smiles on our faces, because when we feel unsafe, we close off. We leave the text on read. You
33 sisters, I don't want you to think you're off the hook. Bad Bunny at the Super Bowl had on a jersey, but no shoulder pads. In other words, to communicate with men, you have to be involved without making them feel defensive. John asked Jesus, are you the one or should I look for another? Matthew 11 and 13, Jesus said, look at the people who I've healed, the people that I fed, the dead that I have raised up. Men can handle questions, but don't like being in an inquisition. My Lord. They don't want to be in an episode. Listen to the man of God. They do not. They don't want to be in a lost episode of Law in Order.
35 So there's a way that you have got to communicate without criminalizing their conscience. There were times during the Super Bowl when Bad Bunny looked in the camera but didn't say anything. I need you to hear this. The man in your life wants you to hear this. I'm telling you, brothers, y'all gonna have to high five me in the spirit. Silence does not mean disconnection. Women speak on average 16,000 words a day. Brothers, just blink at me twice. I know you can't say amen right now. Just meet me in the hallway. I got you.
23 Women speak 16,000 words a day, and men only speak 7,000 words a day. So many times, men hear this, think through reflection and not through articulation. Wives, I got to ask you a question. Think for a moment why it is only men who require a man cave. There is no such thing as a woman cave. Men need moments by themselves to think through in the process. Philippians 4 and 8 said, think on these things. I'm trying to tell it. I'm trying to tell it. Watch yourself over there.
11 Men, sometimes, ladies, men, when we hear what you are saying, we think, how do we solve it? And many times you are sharing when we are looking to solving. There's a book that I want every man to get. That book is written by John Etheridge. It's entitled Wild at Heart. Wild at Heart, the author's name is John Etheridge. He says there are three things that every man needs. He needs a battle to fight. He needs an adventure to live. And he needs a beauty to love. I want to say that again. Every man needs three things. He needs a battle to fight, an adventure to live, and a beauty to love. If you are sitting beside him, you already got the beauty to love.
09 Your responsibility is give your man something to fight for. And what you are giving him to fight for is not you. Give him a goal, give him an agenda, and give him an objective because men know how to go into action. And when they don't have anything to fight for, they start fighting themselves internally. and once you figure out what it is that you're fighting for together you can go on an adventure hallelujah that was good honey thank you the truth of the matter is it doesn't matter how many degrees you have it doesn't matter how many books you've read on communication or how many podcasts you've listened to on the subject the fact is we will never communicate with each other if we don't know how to first communicate with God. For God is a communicator. As a matter of fact, he is the architect of communication. Our communication with God sets the tone for how we communicate with each other. Oftentimes you will know when your spouse hadn't had a moment with God because they come talking to you crazy.
27 Sometimes you got to say to them, have you talked to God today? Have you listened to the Father today? How do we communicate with God? It's easy. We communicate with God through prayer. Look at somebody and say prayer. Luke declares men ought always pray and not to faint. The Bible also declares pray without what? Ceasing. Prayer is a two-way relational conversation with God. Prayer is intentional. It is personal. It is authentic. Prayer helps us to build relationship. It involves speaking and listening. Prayer involves humility. Prayer involves patience. And for many of us, prayer involves maturity. It is knowing the language of the one that you are also communicating with, which is the word of the Lord. Someone once said, prayer is the lifeline that connects humanity with the omnipotence of God. It's intimate conversation and spiritual communion. Prayer gives us access to God and all of heaven's resources. Prayer begins to align us with his will for our life. Prayer gives us power and it gives us strength and prayer is our tool for spiritual warfare and our ability to overcome the enemy. Soren Kierkegaard said that prayer does not change God, it changes the person who's praying. The Middle Eastern mystic declared that when it is that you pray, you are sending an invitation from heaven to come into the earth.
15 My late mother, Reverend Cecilia Williams Bryant, said something to me that changed my life, and I pray that it changed yours, that praying with your spouse is more intimate than sex. A lot of people who will pray, who will sleep with you, won't pray with you. When you learn how to pray with one another, heaven will begin to respond. I want every person, would you just lift up that right hand right where it is that you are, even those of you who are online. We're getting ready to fill this room with the sound of prayer, and here's what the enemy wasn't counting on. You are not going to pray for yourself. I want you just for 30 seconds, I want you to pray for the person who you love. Pray for their heart. Pray for their mind. Pray for their body. Pray for their soul and pray for their decisions. Come on, open up your mouth and begin praying right there. Bless him right now, God. Give her everything that she needs. Anoint her from the top of her head to the soles of her feet. God bless that man that he will operate as the priest of this house.
25 give him the strength and give him the discipline and give him the discernment to turn our home into a sanctuary. God, I pray that you will cover us so that not our will, but your will be done. We loose whatever it is that you got in heaven for this house, and we bind whatever the enemy's been trying to use, and we declare it to be so in Jesus' name. those of you who believe you serve a prayer answering God, would you give God glory right there? Hallelujah. hallelujah the bible tells us in acts 2 and 1 it says when the day of pentecost came they were all in one place somebody say in one place in one place can i declare to you that we gotta be in the same place not just physically but mentally and spiritually can i say to you gone are the days of occupying space with people for just any old reason. Living in the same house, but sleeping in separate bedrooms. Living in the same house, but disconnected. No love, no affection like two ships passing in the night. No goals together, no plans together. You are together on paper, but you are disconnected in the spirit.
54 For the Bible declares, how can two walk together unless they what? Agree. And so that says to us that it's time to be divinely aligned. Time to walk in lockstep with each other as we walk with God. It's time to walk in harmony and walk in purpose. Look at somebody and say, it's time to be in agreement. the bible says they were all in one place so they had the same mindset they had the same objective they had the same goal but i want you to look at acts chapter 2 verse number 2 after they come together as one their minds are together their hearts are together their spirits are together y'all got to look at what happens in acts 2 verse number 2 it says suddenly a sound like the blowing of a violent wind from heaven, here's where you got to get excited, fills the house.
51 I declare over every married couple, over every family, every individual, I declare by the power invested in me that the Holy Ghost is on its way to your house. Anything that does not bear the markings of the Holy Spirit have got to be evicted by the time you get back home. I want the Holy Ghost to hit every square inch of your home, that there is no strife in your house, no depression in your house, no worry in your house, no abuse in your house. I want your children to feel safe in the house, your grandchildren to feel safe in the house, you to feel safe in the house. I don't want the Holy Ghost to just be at the church. I want the Holy Ghost to be in my house.
45 Let God arise and my enemies be scattered. I dare everybody in this room, would you just speak your address out loud. I said, speak your address out loud. I declare that the wind of the Holy Ghost is now headed to your house. That when you get back home, the atmosphere is different. The spirit is different. characters that get ready to change I dare you to give him glory like you worshiping him in your house I dare come on sanctify your house walk around in your living room lay hands on your bed declare over your refrigerator it will never be open joy is in my house peace is in my house Love is in my house Hallelujah.
49 Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Come on, just shout it out loud. I want it in my house. It feels like fire. Shut up in my bone. Lord, make my mattress an altar. Come on, God, fill my house. I break down every principality and every generational curse. I need the Holy Ghost in my house. Hallelujah Hallelujah You may be seated I done got ahead of myself You may be seated You may as well finish, brother. I ain't gonna finish you. hallelujah hallelujah hallelujah hallelujah glory to god and we declare that it's not only in your house but acts 2 and 3 says and they were filled with the holy ghost hallelujah look at somebody and say the holy ghost makes the difference hallelujah that means that you gotta pray that you are both filled with the Holy Ghost. My Lord. Then you begin to talk to each other differently.
10 You begin to look at each other differently. You begin to cover each other differently. You'll start honoring each other differently. You'll even begin to touch each other differently when you are both filled with the Holy Ghost. Say, God, fill me. Hallelujah. I want you to lay hands on your spouse, on your significant other, on your fiance. We are believing by faith that they'll never be the same after today. Do you know what a difference is going to be in their life and yours when both of you are filled with the Holy Ghost? It ain't just about speaking in tongues and running down the aisle, but I want my spouse to be filled with the Holy Ghost so that if I get sick, they can lay hands on me. When I'm in warfare at my job, they can cancel every demonic attempt. I need somebody, Holy Ghost feel connected to me so that they can see the enemy five miles off and call it under subjection and submission. Come on, pull on that neighbor and tell them you're going to get filled today. Many of us have been running on empty, but God said, welcome to the shell station that if you open up your mouth whatsoever, you ask in his name, it shall be given unto you.
36 When you got a Holy Ghost filled spouse, you ain't got to beg them to come to church. You ain't got to beg them to pray with you. You ain't got to beg them to watch worship. But both of y'all are going to get up in the morning and say, God, you've been better than good to us. and when I think of the goodness of Jesus and all he's done. Hallelujah.
05 You may be seated. Hallelujah. You may be seated. I don't know if y'all ready for me to prophesy, but I just felt the Holy Spirit say something. If you don't need it, don't worry about it. But God said, if you give me glory, five husbands gonna get filled with the Holy Ghost. If you open up your mouth, maybe this will help you shout he said if you open up your mouth your future husband will speak in tongues your future husband will have a prayer like by themselves God raise up my son so he'll be a holy ghost filled husband raise up my nephew so he'll be a Holy Ghost filled man of God I declare it y'all don't know how to touch and agree I declare it that every man in your life is gonna be filled with the Holy Ghost any man trying to talk to you and don't know Jesus may God block your number get them out of your I need somebody that knows the Holy Ghost you may be seated hallelujah hallelujah Dr. Kerry I think you need to prophesy cause there's some wives that need the Holy Ghost there's some women that need the Holy Ghost there's some girlfriends that need the Holy Ghost speak over some women's lives that before 12 noon everything that's in there that don't look like God is gonna be driven out of them let God arise let my enemies be scattered give three women a high five
12 and tell them you about to walk different you about to talk different you about to love different you about to live different you don't need a new hairstyle you need the Holy Ghost you ain't gotta get new nails you need the Holy Ghost Hallelujah! Hallelujah! Hallelujah! Hallelujah! Hallelujah! You may be seated. I gotta stick to the script. You may be seated.
56 Yes, Lord. Yes, Lord. When you get filled with the Holy Ghost, when both of y'all get filled with the Holy Ghost, something is going to happen. The confirmation you are filled with the Holy Ghost as a married couple that is under covenant and are in divine alignment, is people will start talking.
30 If ain't nobody talking about y'all, you ain't popping. The Bible says in Acts chapter 2, verse number 13, that when people who were not in the room saw how they were worshiping God, they started making up rumors about Him and said they must be drunk. When you are in a God-given relationship and y'all know how to talk to each other and then learn how to talk to God, people are going to start talking about you. They're going to say, you done become a simp. You done lost your mind. You ain't got no backbone. The Bible says that they thought everybody in the room was drunk. Look at the person beside you and say, all my life I done had to fight.
20 What happens, Dr. Carey, when people start getting drunk in the Holy Ghost. When people get drunk, they start talking loud. Y'all act like y'all ain't never had no sip or nothing. Come on. I see a whole lot of rum and coke in the room. There's a whole lot of Hennessy in this building, a whole lot of Long Island's in this place. And you act like you don't know what we talking about. When you are drunk, you are not quiet. Yes. Ain't no way you feel with the Holy Ghost and you whisper it. That's how I can tell who got it and who ain't really got it. Those of y'all that ain't got no Holy Ghost, sit down and be quiet. But those of you that know like Jeremiah, it feels like fire.
11 I got to show you something one day. Dr. Carrie, Jesus was walking one day and a blind man started screaming out, son of David, have mercy on me. It was thousands of people there and the disciples said to him, stop screaming. It don't take all of that. But the Bible says the more they tried to get him to be quiet, the louder he screamed. Watch this. And because he screamed so loud, Jesus stopped in his feet and said, what do you want? Dr. K, that tells me that screaming is God's love language. That if you yell loud enough, it'll make God stop in his feet and ask what you want.
06 If you don't need nothing, don't shout. But if you need something from God, speak his language. Son of David, have mercy on me. Come on, y'all ain't saying nothing. Have mercy on me. Have mercy on me.
28 Hallelujah. When people are drunk, They start talking loud. Y'all act like you don't know what I'm talking about. Elbow your neighbor, say, yes, they do. Yes, they do. Dr. Carey, what else do people do when they start getting drunk? They start falling all over themselves. They struggle to stand up. They don't have no boundaries. Lord, I remember growing up, we had an Uncle Buddy. God, help me. What was his name? Uncle Buddy. And we hated to see Uncle Buddy coming. because he come in to Thanksgiving lit. I mean, he was zooted up and he would come in hugging everybody, kissing everybody. Y'all ain't saying nothing. Asking, how you related to us? Whose mama is you all the while while kissing and hugging where before dessert, somebody had to escort him out?
27 My Lord. When you are drunk with the Holy Ghost, my Lord. You ought to be kissing each other. Yes. You ought to be talking to each other. You ought to have some connection with somebody else outside of yourself. Would you do me a favor? I want you to create the revolutionary act of just hugging somebody around you and telling me it ain't nothing wrong with me. I'm just filled with the Holy Ghost. Come on, y'all ain't saying nothing. I said, you ain't saying nothing. It ain't nothing wrong with me. I'm just filled.
01 Hallelujah. Yes, Lord. When you're drunk, watch this. You got to find somebody to lean on. When you're drunk, you got to find somebody who will hold you up. When you're drunk, you got to find somebody you can depend on because you done lost your balance. Would you just lean on somebody and tell them the road has been rough, the going has been tough, and the hills have been hard to climb. But I thought it out a long time ago. And there is no doubt in my mind. I decided to make Jesus my choice.
49 We got to go. Our time is almost up. But drunk people, they start talking loud. Drunk people start leaning on other people. but Dr. Kerry, what's the last thing that drunk people do? They start talking too much. Lord. They start oversharing. They start repeating themselves. What'd you say? They start oversharing. Yes. They start repeating themselves. Say that again. They start oversharing. They start repeating themselves. Ladies and gentlemen, when you feel with the Holy Ghost, there's only one scripture I gotta leave with you. Yes. Rejoice always. Yes. And again I say rejoice. You might have did it one time. But I need you to rejoice again. Why am I still praising him? Because from the rising of the sun to the going down of the sand, he's worthy to be praised.
50 I got to tell you something. Rejoice always. Do it again. Rejoice always. Do it again. Rejoice always, do it again. Rejoice always and do it again. Why do I keep doing it? Because when I think of the goodness of Jesus and all he's done for me, my soul. hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah Hallelujah!
40 Hallelujah! Hallelujah! Hallelujah! Hallelujah! Hallelujah! Hallelujah!
15 Hallelujah, Hallelujah, Hallelujah, Hallelujah, Hallelujah. I feel something getting ready to break. Come on, somebody shout Hallelujah. Stop waving that hand right where you are. Yes, Lord. Hallelujah. Yes, Lord. Hallelujah. Come on give him glory. Come on give him honor. Y'all really ain't gonna shout give him thanksgiving. Come on give him praise. Come on come on come on. He's worthy of it. Speak his language. Let everything that has breath. I want you to lift up those hands all over this room. Yes, Lord.
21 Hallelujah. Yes, Lord. I pray that God will dismantle whatever's been the barrier. Yes, Lord. Blocking your communication. Yes, Lord. whatever's been in the way from you being able to have a conversation with your child. whatever upheaval, obstacle has been thrown at you that you and your spouse, your significant other, your loved one, your family have not been able to talk. I'm praying that today something will shift in the spirit that you'll be able to have free-flowing conversations. Critical point that you must know is being able to communicate doesn't mean you'll agree on everything. Yes, yes.
14 But you learn how it is to navigate that space and walk through it. I want that hand lifted and I want you to know why your hand is lifted. It's because you're taking your hands off of it. My Lord. Then this battle is not mine.
36 This battle is the Lord's. Dr. Carey, pray for us that communication might be able to flow. Hallelujah. Father, in the name of Jesus. God, we pray that you would give us the grace to communicate, Father. Increase our prayer life that as we communicate with you, Father, we will be able to communicate with each other. Father, we bind the spirit of offense in our households, in our relationships, on our jobs, in our families, Father. That communication would flow in our life, God. Give us language we never had. Give us patience and maturity we've never had. Father, we thank you that in this season, our communication will go to a greater level. Father, close every door that the enemy has opened that would block our communication, Father. And we pray that you would anoint our mouths, anoint our tongues, anoint our heads, Father, that we would communicate the way that you have designed it to be so.
45 In Jesus' name. I hope you are energized that you don't need an energy drink. What you just heard should have you off and running, chasing your dreams, pursuing your purpose, and answering your call. If this was a blessing, share it with somebody else. Don't be selfish. This is what God gave you so that you can be a blessing to somebody who needs it worse.
