… He's trying to help you not believe that. 1 Corinthians 1.30 From God are you in Christ Jesus. You didn't graft yourself into Christ. God grafted you into Christ. Ephesians 2 that we'll hear more about this evening. God made me alive. By grace you've been saved. God gave me faith. Acts 13, 48 As many as were ordained to eternal life believed not the other way around I love reformed theology. I love sovereign grace because I'm saved. If God were not triumphantly free and unconditionally sovereign in giving me life, I would be in total rebellion against God now, and you would too. What makes us sing? What makes us sing? I mean, who has conferences like this except people who sing, I'm saved by sovereign grace. I didn't do this. I was plucked out of that horrible, rebellious humanity for nothing in me. That makes you sing. If you thought you were decisive, we're going to go to have a conference and sing about that. They don't happen. …
… life, strength, growth, peace, joy, wisdom, knowledge, endurance, all that God has in His green pastures and still waters. That's why Christ came. First Corinthians 1.30 says, Because Christ became to us wisdom from God, righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption, everything. He died as a sacrifice for our sin. …
… And at the moment you turned to God through Christ, you became wise. You became wise, because 1 Corinthians 1.30 says, Christ Jesus became to us wisdom from God. It's not natural, because the natural man cannot understand the things of God. They are foolishness to him. His mind is dark, his heart is dark, because he loves his sin. But when you come to Christ, you come to wisdom. Listen to what Paul said in 2 Timothy 3, 15, talking to Timothy, and he says that, Timothy, from childhood, you have known the sacred writings, the Scripture, which are able to give you the wisdom that leads to salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. And then all Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, reproof, correction, training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work. …
