1 Corinthians 5

1It is actually reported that there is sexual immorality among you, and of a kind that is intolerable even among pagans: A man has his father’s wife.It is actually reported that there is sexual immorality among you, and such sexual immorality as is not even named among the Gentiles, that one has his father’s wife.It is reported commonly that there is fornication among you, and such fornication as is not so much as named among the Gentiles, that one should have his father’s wife.It is actually reported that there is fornication among you, and such fornication as is not even among the Gentiles, that one of you hath his father’s wife. 2And you are proud! Shouldn’t you rather have been stricken with grief and have removed from your fellowship the man who did this? You are arrogant, and didn’t mourn instead, that he who had done this deed might be removed from among you.And ye are puffed up, and have not rather mourned, that he that hath done this deed might be taken away from among you.And ye are puffed up, and did not rather mourn, that he that had done this deed might be taken away from among you. 3Although I am absent from you in body, I am present with you in spirit, and I have already pronounced judgment on the one who did this, just as if I were present. For I most certainly, as being absent in body but present in spirit, have already, as though I were present, judged him who has done this thing. For I verily, as absent in body, but present in spirit, have judged already, as though I were present, concerning him that hath so done this deed,For I verily, being absent in body but present in spirit, have already as though I were present judged him that hath so wrought this thing, 4When you are assembled in the name of our Lord Jesus and I am with you in spirit, along with the power of the Lord Jesus,In the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, when you are gathered together with my spirit with the power of our Lord Jesus Christ,In the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, when ye are gathered together, and my spirit, with the power of our Lord Jesus Christ,in the name of our Lord Jesus, ye being gathered together, and my spirit, with the power of our Lord Jesus, 5hand this man over to Satan for the destruction of the flesh, so that his spirit may be saved on the Day of the Lord.you are to deliver such a one to Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that the spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus. To deliver such an one unto Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that the spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus.to deliver such a one unto Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that the spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus. 6Your boasting is not good. Do you not know that a little leaven works through the whole batch of dough?Your boasting is not good. Don’t you know that a little yeast leavens the whole lump?Your glorying is not good. Know ye not that a little leaven leaveneth the whole lump?Your glorying is not good. Know ye not that a little leaven leaveneth the whole lump? 7Get rid of the old leaven, that you may be a new unleavened batch, as you really are. For Christ, our Passover lamb, has been sacrificed.Purge out the old yeast, that you may be a new lump, even as you are unleavened. For indeed Christ, our Passover, has been sacrificed in our place.Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, as ye are unleavened. For even Christ our passover is sacrificed for us:Purge out the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, even as ye are unleavened. For our passover also hath been sacrificed, even Christ: 8Therefore let us keep the feast, not with the old bread, leavened with malice and wickedness, but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and of truth. Therefore let’s keep the feast, not with old yeast, neither with the yeast of malice and wickedness, but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth. Therefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, neither with the leaven of malice and wickedness; but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.wherefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, neither with the leaven of malice and wickedness, but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth. 9I wrote you in my letter not to associate with sexually immoral people.I wrote to you in my letter to have no company with sexual sinners;I wrote unto you in an epistle not to company with fornicators:I wrote unto you in my epistle to have no company with fornicators; 10I was not including the sexually immoral of this world, or the greedy and swindlers, or idolaters. In that case you would have to leave this world.yet not at all meaning with the sexual sinners of this world, or with the covetous and extortionists, or with idolaters, for then you would have to leave the world.Yet not altogether with the fornicators of this world, or with the covetous, or extortioners, or with idolaters; for then must ye needs go out of the world.not at all meaning with the fornicators of this world, or with the covetous and extortioners, or with idolaters; for then must ye needs go out of the world: 11But now I am writing you not to associate with anyone who claims to be a brother but is sexually immoral or greedy, an idolater or a verbal abuser, a drunkard or a swindler. With such a man do not even eat.But as it is, I wrote to you not to associate with anyone who is called a brother who is a sexual sinner, or covetous, or an idolater, or a slanderer, or a drunkard, or an extortionist. Don’t even eat with such a person. But now I have written unto you not to keep company, if any man that is called a brother be a fornicator, or covetous, or an idolater, or a railer, or a drunkard, or an extortioner; with such an one no not to eat.but as it is, I wrote unto you not to keep company, if any man that is named a brother be a fornicator, or covetous, or an idolater, or a reviler, or a drunkard, or an extortioner; with such a one no, not to eat. 12What business of mine is it to judge those outside the church? Are you not to judge those inside? For what do I have to do with also judging those who are outside? Don’t you judge those who are within? For what have I to do to judge them also that are without? do not ye judge them that are within? For what have I to do with judging them that are without? Do not ye judge them that are within? 13God will judge those outside. “Expel the wicked man from among you.”But those who are outside, God judges. “Put away the wicked man from among yourselves.”But them that are without God judgeth. Therefore put away from among yourselves that wicked person. But them that are without God judgeth. Put away the wicked man from among yourselves.
