The eye cannot say to the hand, “I do not need you.” Nor can the head say to the feet, “I do not need you.”The eye can’t tell the hand, “I have no need for you,” or again the head to the feet, “I have no need for you.”And the eye cannot say unto the hand, I have no need of thee: nor again the head to the feet, I have no need of you.And the eye cannot say to the hand, I have no need of thee: or again the head to the feet, I have no need of you.

… You see, Paul settles it. He says, the eye cannot say to the hand, I have no need of you. There is no lesser form of ministry. It's all a part of the body. And right now, Thank you, Jesus. God is overruling that lie right here in front of you. You see, the presence cannot be wielded. The presence can only be sought. You must seek the presence. You can't command the presence. You can't negotiate with the presence of God. You have to seek his presence. You invite him in. You invite him in. And that's where he comes. So when it came time, I didn't pull rank. I fasted. I fell on my face. I prayed to God. And through worship, that is where he came to me. Y'all have to put the ark down. Don't hold the box that contains the presence. Go after the person. That is what we must learn. And that is the danger, Potter's House. Hear me loud and clear. Because we stand on a great name. …
… and accountable to God. If all were a single member, where would the body be? As it is, there are many parts yet one body. The eye cannot say to the hand, I have no need of you, nor again the head to the feet, I have no need of you. On the contrary, the parts of the body that seem to be weaker are indispensable. And on those parts of the body that we think less honorable, we bestow the greater honor, and our unpresentable parts are treated with a greater modesty, which are more presentable parts do not require. But God has so composed the body, giving greater honor to the part that lacked it, that there may be no division in the body, but that the members may have the same care for one another. If one member suffers, all suffer together. If one member is honored, all rejoice together. Now, you are the body of Christ and individually members of it. And God has appointed in the church first apostles, second prophets, third teachers, then miracles, then gifts of healing, helping, administrating, and various kinds of tongues. …
… but now indeed there are many members, yet one body. The eye cannot say to the hand, I have no need, nor again the head to the feet, I have no need of you. Verse 22, he says, no, no, much rather those members of the body would seem to be weaker are necessary. What is Paul talking about? He said, we're many members, but we're all of the same body. In these texts, he's talking about, watch this, our individuality. He's talking about our importance and he's talking about our necessities. He was saying every one of you should always embrace your individuality and your uniqueness. That's why you don't try to be anything or anybody else other than who God has called and created you to be. That's why we don't compare ourselves among ourselves because comparing ourselves is unwise. And if you try to be anything other than what God called you to be, you will only be second best. One writer put it like this. You were born an original, so don't die a copy. …
… where would the sense of hearing be? The eye cannot say to the hand, hey, hand, I have no need of you, nor again the head to the feet, I've got no need of you. On the contrary, verse 22, even the parts of the body that seem to be weaker and smaller are indispensable. Verse 26, if one member suffers, all suffer together. If one member is honored, all rejoice together. If my little toe says, well, I'm not as glorious as the tongue. The tongue of this body speaks such wonderful things to the Summit Church every weekend. The tongue is kind of famous. So many are blessed by that tongue. It's not me, though. Nobody ever even sees me. I always have shoes on me. JD's embarrassed of me. I got no importance at all. Okay, fair enough. What happens when your pinky toe is hurt? Y'all, when I get up at night to go to the bathroom and somehow my pinky toe finds that edge of the dresser every single time. …
