But someone will ask, “How are the dead raised? With what kind of body will they come?”But someone will say, “How are the dead raised?” and, “With what kind of body do they come?”But some man will say, How are the dead raised up? and with what body do they come? But some one will say, How are the dead raised? and with what manner of body do they come?

Paul continues. But someone will ask, How are the dead raised? What kind of body do they come with? Foolish person. What you sow does not come to life unless it first dies. and what you sow into the ground is not the body that is to be, but a bare kernel, a grain of wheat or something. But God gives the seed a body as he has chosen and each kind of seed its own body. Not all flesh is the same. There's one kind for humans, another for animals, another for birds, another for fish. There are heavenly bodies and earthly bodies, but the glory of the heavenly is of one kind and the glory of the earthly is another. The sun has one kind of glory. The moon has another. Star's another. Because star differs from star in glory. So it is with the resurrection of the dead. What is sown is perishable. What is raised is imperishable. It is sown in humility. It is raised in glory. …
… So he articulates, he verbalizes that objection, verse 35. But someone will ask, how are the dead even raised? with what kind of body do they come? I mean, you know, we got these bodies and they got all these problems, amen? Who wants to live with this thing forever? And what about people who got cremated or died in a nuclear reactor meltdown? There's nothing even left of their bodies. How are they gonna get resurrected? Be honest, how many of you have had these kinds of questions? I remember hearing one time, true story, about a believer years ago who was buried underneath an apple tree back before they wouldn't always bury people in coffins. They just buried this guy under an apple tree. And years later, they decided to transport his body to an actual graveyard for a more proper burial. So they dug up where his body was, but they couldn't find the body. But where his body was, was an oddly shaped tree root, which was now in the shape of the guy's body. …
… I say this to your shame. But someone will ask, how are the dead raised? With what kind of body do they come? You foolish person, what you sow does not come to life unless it dies. And what you sow is not the body that is to be, but a bare kernel, perhaps of wheat or some other grain. But God gives it a body as he has chosen, and to each kind of seed its own body. for not all flesh is the same, but there's one for humans, another for animals, another for birds, another for fish. There are heavenly bodies and earthly bodies, but the glory of the heavenly is of one kind and the glory of the earthly is of another. There's one glory of the sun, another glory of the moon, another glory of the stars for star differs from star in glory. So it is with the resurrection of the dead. What is sown perishable, what is raised is imperishable. It is sown in dishonor. …
